ahem.... read more closely next time my username was rewind_99_99. That was running from 1996 or 1997 i think Does anybody know if it was the first Trials message board/ forum? Possibly biketrials.com preceeded that but cant have been much in it. Twas such a basic/ shit design for a forum but was all we had back then. I think its still online now!

I think it was around the time i was running Bashguard.com as I became an affiliate website to the forum. That was 2001 if im correct but could have been earlier. I witnessed at least a couple of major server crashes when everything got reset. Before that my main haunts were the Trialskings forum and even earlier than that I was on Mod and Stock Trials' yahoo group back in 1998.

Mine is Ding Dang Dave Mates just picked up the fact that I liked to use that catchphrase and did quite a good impression of Paddy who says it, and then replaced Doo with Dave. Genius. Its off Max and Paddy/ Phoniex Nights for anybody that doesnt know. I dont really say it anymore but the name just stuck. Previous nicknames..... Double D (My initials and a large bra size) Gap Year (when i went boarding for 3 weeks and stayed in a lodge with lots of older people.... on my "gap" year suprisingly)

Stupid Post. Threads are supposed to have an actual topic or question, you cant just say "write what you want in here". Please only make a thread if you have something specific to ask or say, and if its related to Trials.

There are a million different things you could post about, and until you think of one then dont bother making new threads like this!

He cant post in here yet anyway so dont expect to see any mass riots breaking out on here He was annoying a lot of people and he had to be told. Hopefuly now he will spot his mistakes and improve his posts and attitude on the forum. After all its better to let people know where they are going wrong than just let them carry on and clog the forum up. I have already warned him and let him know in one of his posts. Perhaps there was no need for this post in this part of the forum now that he knows himself, but it was driving me mad and I let it get the better of me. Not sure about that one mate as I've never come across anybody thats doing that degree before. But i think most courses have a dissertation at the end of it if im correct? Im sure somebody else will know. Either way you are bound to get more work in the final year disertation or not.

I would like to apolagise on behalf of 'ride or die' from NMC who has spent the last few days reporting every thread under the sun, and whinging about everybody elses "pointless" posts. To top it off the few posts of his that didnt contain moaning were utter, utter drivel that should have been confined to the MBUK forum. Now he doesnt know that Im apolagising on his behalf, but he bloody well should be cos he is really pissing me off

Ride or die you are really beginning to annoy me. For the last few days almost all of your posts have been you pointing out other peoples pointless threads and mistakes. Yet your posts are quite frankly awful and worst than most of the ones you have been complaining about. This being yet another example. Can you stop trying to be a moderator, only report stuff when you really have to, and sort your own posts out before you start whinging at others!

Dont worry about it. The 12k (or whatever it is) dissertation is not usually until the final year, and you have all year to do it. Although not everyone starts it so soon The first year is pretty damn easy, and you get some coursework to do during the year but nothing like 12k words per piece. Obviously how much work you have to do is dependent on which course, but unless your planning to be a medic then most other courses dont require constant work, pressure and deadlines. My second year hasnt been too bad either and its only recently that work has started piling up but then exams are coming. Not sure about the third year though as havent got that far.

Are you guys revising now as well as typing away on the old dissertation? I got all my coursework over and done with during easter, which is admitidly nothing compared to a big old final year dissertation. I am doing lots of revision now though instead Today I revised Business ethics and answered the question "Are ethics a unique selling point, or are they guiding principles that every company can/should use?" nice I really really want some beer now though and the fridge is empty

Apolagies to your mother but that has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. By the sounds of it you have a Television, and unless your in an internet cafe you have a modern PC and the internet in your home. She's 10 years younger than me.... Back of the net!" Now the forum is full of heart to heart, emo style, graphic accounts of peoples personal lives. Why bottle it up inside, talk it over with your closest friend, or write to an agony aunt, when you can get caring, sypathetic advice from the likes of Joe Maher and co on Trials Forum ....... If you post your personal lives up on here you may as well plaster a big sign on your forehead reading "Use my unfortunate and painstaking private life to mock and ridicule me"

cheers. Didnt spot that. what experiences have people had with the system? That looks bloody complicated and I dont really fancy calling up customs for an interogation by the sounds of it, unless I have to. If people could say how much they got charged in total and how much the goods were worth? So I can get a better idea of what to expect.

I have found out that before import taxes/ charges its quite a bit cheaper to import what im after, but i have no idea how much im likely to get charged by Customs. It costs $40 before shipping and $63 after shipping. does anybody know how much im likely to get charged ? Is it a percentage of the total cost or what? Also does anyone know how they charge it to you? will they send me a separate letter in the post with a nice hefty bill ? I figured as a fair few people used to import Chris King's from the States that someone would know. Cheers!
