  1. MadManMike - The Scientist - Experiment May 2010 Found this old gem hidden on a mp3 player from many moons ago.
  2. Since i bought the car, the horn issue has been there, but the steering wheel was sticky, so put it down to that, with the wheel and button adaptor, the issue remained. cleaned the connections to the horn its self to no joy. Didnt say that it was the fault of the car. tyres, filters, oil, plugs, zorst parts, fuses, jets, and such. Tyres still havnt come, so yesterday had a part worn put on to replace the one that would of failed. Will return them once they have arrived. Writing a honest car ad now, the cars had its belts done, and is on just under 70k. http://www.cliosport.net/threads/bg-clio-ff182-70k-electronic-issue-servicing-belts-dephaser-pump-proof.805233/
  3. MOT day: wake up early to fix little things fix little things moves on to intermittent horn issue little horn issue causes sparks and smoke from horn wire little horn issue caused xenon light to blow, the igniter thing to blow, and both sidelights to burst. little horn issue had now become a huge issue. after spending 600 on it already yesterday, im done. 100%. The Clio 182 must go.
  4. MOT prep, took the decat pipe off, put cat back on, only for the shitting mani->cat bolts to fall off while driving, purely the result of me being a gypo and just buying a new gasket rather than the full kit. Northwest Performance are shit, took them 3 weeks to send the kit to me, even though i paid for next day delivery. So i had 3 weeks of straight manifold annoying literally everyone, including myself. Kit arrived missing a washer on both sides, although now i read up on it, its apparently a kit for some Peugeot. Old axle washers saved the day. tightened handbrake cable and then called it a day..... completely forgetting to reattach the heatshield for the shifter properly, now it flaps and rattles like a willy. But the exhaust is quiet again, and the car once more has power. Anyone ever took their car to halfords for an MOT?
  5. Moved to burton when i was a teenager, but loved the shit before. One benefit of the fireservice was free marmite on 'risk' inspections. Like the catering sized tubs. Purely for home use. I must say, there are times when you drive past the factory and the smell is horrific.
  6. With butter, plastered on. My biggest issue with it, is when people try it for the first time, and slap it on like jam or some shit, and then complain. THERE ARE LEVELS OF MARMITE EXPERIENCE. Although the lotus biscuit caramel spread is now my toasted favourite.
  7. Hmm, well its getting de wipered, if the backs not as much of a cnut as the front was, so ill get that done before it goes in. BUT having non functional headlight washers IS a fail????? Mine just dribbles out from them 24/7 until the bottle is empty... Takes exactly 6 days. Then use works screen wash to top it back up. Although at the moment it needs new pumps and empties a full washer bottle in around 60 seconds, with a nice large puddle under the car.
  8. Anyone have any clue if your rear washer not working is an MOT fail? I had to cut the tubing to stop the leak in the car, and dont use it regardless. Also just realised the 'New Reply In Thread - show reply' noise is off the old resident evil games. Survivor if i recall correctly.
  9. Avoid council jobs, most certainly the fireservice. HGV is easy as f**k, you can pass class 2, get CPC, medical and everything within a month if done properly. Average pay for East midlands class 2 is about 1600 takehome per month PAYE, LTD/Self employed (DO IT!!!) about 900 a week, work depending and so on. I have a full time position with a great company, and wish i stayed agency for the LTD goodness. CPC just needs to be maintained every 5 years at a small cost. For everything for the c2 license, youll be looking at around 1.5k... So in-essence, the job pays for its self even if you was to get a short term loan or whatever. upgrading to class 1 costs an extra grand. Also the slammed seat did not help my back, but a tilted back to f**k seat did, back problems are gone! now its just a case of googleing each Waitrose store to find the right destination....
  10. I'm going to try that, although when the seat is dropped I feel like I'm all over the road, the steering on trucks seems vague as f**kery. Different trucks everyday, but only a fleet of 12 dafs and shitveco. I've just got my head completely around all the tachograph rules after 4 infringements. But I do class 2 multidrop. Guess you're class 1?
  11. Easier said than done. Money is good.
  12. Lorry driving is ruining my upper back, where your neck meets your back, down a little, just right of my Spine. It feels like a burning sensation mixed with some horrible pain. And the cutns cannot give the right address or opening times for the stores, so finding the right place at rush hour gets stressful. Reversing them with morons on bikes and death set pedestrians makes it shite.
  13. Id be up for the track day. Really unsure weather to order GAZ GZA's or Bilsteins for the clio. Liking the idea of a rear coilover over spring and shock.
  14. Im sure i remember you saying about this before in this thread?
  15. It was the DVLA. completely my own fault for forgetting about taxing the car is all. If i had left my door about 1 minute earlier she wouldn't of clamped it but because she'd already wrote the slip she couldn't take it back because the job number. I have only myself to be angry with. It is on a shitty one way terraced street, with one side of the road 2 hour restricted parking, and the other side every fanny tries to cram their car on to avoid a parking ticket, and the road is a stones throw away from the centre of town, so every knobend parks here. In the space of 4 years, excluding today, this road has cost me well over £600 in tickets. Cant wait to move this year!
  16. Car got clamped today due to no tax. Wonderful. Stupidity from my behalf. also £120 for tax, and another £100 to get the clamp removed. Nice work Troy, nice work indeed.
  17. Day two stalemate. Car still lets water in Shitty wiper puller f**ked the threads on the passanger side of the wiper assembly The washer bottle now pisses all fluids out of itself within a minute or two from full. Despite pushing the pumps all the way in. I f**king hate this French sack of shit. Should I just go down the route of drilling a hole in the floor?
  18. I did but was curious to what people had to say on here, I believe I've tracked it down the the rubber grommet that goes In to the firewall for the rear washer tube. Cut the fanny out and sealanted over the hole. It's drying, will know for sure tomorrow! Good excuse to get the carpets out I suppose and get it stripped! Got anything left for sale Dan?
  19. So water is getting under my passanger seat, so have done the normal by checking the little plastic gromits near the rear lights, and clearing out the scuttle panel and all the crud that was in the arch liners. To no avail. Also it's not the heater matrix. And its only on the passanger side. I've checked the rear washer line, and it's bone dry so water can't be running down that. All the water is sitting under the passanger seat and foot well. The sound deadening sponge is sodden.
  20. Just been pricing up a cage vs 'do it yourself', Curiously my grand-dad said to me today that i should cage the car, he's welded for a living for all his life and made cages for banger racing so guess he knows his shit... If i do it, i may aswell do it to proper specifications, Need to start looking at cage designing and such. Anyone made their own before?
  21. Whats the best steel grade/type for a roll cage?
  22. Anybody a dab hand with lgv tachographs
  23. ITS BACK <3! Episode 3 is so much better.
  24. Months later and i still cannot get that bitch out my head. ffs.
  25. What was that shit. Minus the Vulcan, until driven by the fat yank, the whole thing was shockingly bad, like on evans standard. Top Gear has pretty much always been scripted, and they got slated for it with the hover-van segment, which i remember them addressing in the following series, so why are back with equivalent stuff. They need to do some Gran Tour specials, and visit some places, set challenges and such. A random star being killed is as entertaining as star in a reasonably priced car. I hope episode 3 holds more.... Also spinning.... how cringey, and also they mentioned Australia when saying places where you wouldn't get away with it, i was under the impression rotory and v8's doing burnouts and donuts was their thing?
