So i needed to pick up gash in the tsunami car last night, So thought id pop down to the local petrol station and hoover the water out my car, didnt say it was a wet and dry pay per minute hoover, turns out it didnt cope well with sucking up water... But the majority of water is out the 182 until it rains again. Going to take the carpets out and drill a hole i think. For the guys who've done it before, any issues when driving in the rain? or did you bung it up?

Under the SEA(t) Passenger footwell Open camera literally takes a year to get focus. And then doesnt.

Not coolant from the heaters, ive checked that, and i sat in the car while my brother hosed it down. nothing visable. So used a 4 pack of bounty to mop up what i could, come back to it after work, in which its been parked for 9 hours, to be sodden and puddle ridden again.. Yay. Tried looking into the drainage, but got piss wet through and disheartened. But pulled the near side arch liner off and pulled a fist sized clump of silty shite out, that was about 4 hours, im off to look at it now. The interior in the rear is out, and looking at the carpet i have literally no choice but to f**k it off now. Clio 182. (surprised?........)

My car Is now one with nature. By holding 2" of water in the passenger footwell and under the passenger seat. Anyone got any fish? or any clues in general to how the car would be letting water in when i physically cannot trace any drops or run marks ...

I hate the 182's exhaust. K-tec stainless system, with a supersilence mid section (i hate it) so need to buy the supersport pipe. But for whatever reason in the meantime i decided on putting my decat in. What a joke the donut gaskets are... so now i have a blowing badly sealed exhaust, and a f**ked exhaust mount chassis mount, where the bolts decided they no longer wanted to turn without the heads sheering off. My starting problem was starter motor related, new starter motor and its happy, also i gave it a full service, and have realised i have contracted ebola, aids, syphilis and a whole variety of tropical diseases from the cabin filter....

Throttle body cleaned, TDC sensor cleaned,new batterez Still no joy.... But i have noticed it will only happen if i go full throttle in a journey 'normal' driving seems to be fine and it has no issue.... Need to check the gearbox ribbon ground.... but have literally no clue where it is?

Going to trey that tomorrow, Its being a bit funny with unlocking itself, initially put it down to the battery in the key, but now im thinking it could be the cars battery is fubared. No clue when it got put in there, and i have no means of testing the bitch. Going to clean the TDC sensor, and also the throttle body, and switch to the spare key.

182 is being a twat. twice now, goes to start car, turns key only to get standard dash lights asif key is still in position 1, no starter attempt, no noise, other than fuel pump prime (?) when first switch to ign pos 1, even holding the key on to the starting position does nothing. When it does finally start idle is LUMPY as f**k and bumbles at about 1500-1700 for a minute or so. Possible very dirty throttle body symptoms maybe?

Anyone got a ramp and welder that would want to work for some beer cutting my centre box out my exhaust and welding in a chunk of pipe. This exhaust is too damn quiet.

Got a pic of what you mean? Could of been some smeg in the tank get sucked up,for a quick check its worth taking a butchers at the fueling first be that the pump or filter?

no shims come out, nor did any go in....? EDIT: no wait, the shims did go in. Blocked fuel filter? My car decided it hates cheap shit fuel. And runs like wank, so draining the tank, changing fuel filter and running bp ultimate or shell v-power(if the knobs dont rip me off for fuel again £35 of normal fuel for half a tank on the Up!). Yup, i might get them off weather depending this weekend and plaster the backings in copperslip. I might of been to light with the application after getting fed up of wiping it off the backings when i realise i havent filed enough backplate off.

So the squeal from these brakes hasnt gone away, So decided to film it and thus present to you the most windy film including 2 breaking points. The first is soft to medium breaking, the second noise is the only one that remains unless they're pushed hard. The second is light breaking, the most common noise. Maybe ive not fitted something correctly, maybe its just because of what they are for. Once hot the 'initial squeal' goes away a bit. Ive bedded them in using the mintex's recommendation and also tried Adams 70 down to nearly nothing hard avoiding abs. Is it fine or have i got something wrong, i didnt think enthusiast road/light track use pads would be this noisy, not that i care about that, im just fed up of no car people saying i need to fix it... 15ish second's and 28ish seconds in to avoid your ears bleeding.

I believe so, done about 200km as the manual says. not hitting abs just gradual and medium braking but all the reviews i read people complain of squeal.

So brakes are now sorted on the 182, filing the pads as recommended from RTR. Also regrettably fitted a faded sunstrip... Gave it some love and gave it a thorough clean, although i need new wax, i used my friends simonz death-shite, forgetting just how shit it is.... Its had a car drive into the NS rear bumper in a carpark by the looks of things as that is marked, and the splitter was included, but was haggared, so left it off, and think ill go for a laguna splitter. It needs new exhaust hangers and although the wheel is in good condition, its sticky and pretty grim, even after cleaning it loads, so just waiting for a boss. I also bought some sandpaper to do the lights, they were foggy as anything, but maguires tyre shine fixed that, they're perfect now haha Brakes feel rather good! Already been moaned at for driving like a yobbo... on a private road...

Ordered today, Brembo HC's with 1144's. No idea why the 44's, i was tired.... I also have the diddy omp wheel from the renault 5, i could put that in, but not 100% sure yet... Picking up the 182 tonight

Okay, sooo i will go for the Brembo HC disks with the Brembo OEM's orr the DS2500's. The 1144s seem well priced, shame about the fade... In regards to the steering wheel controls, what will i loose when i change wheel to a nice OMP superquadro flat bottom ive got on order! EDIT:might strip the interior and paint the floor black <3
