  1. I wouldnt advise the rockman they abit hit and miss work well one minit shit the next and need a realy harsh grind to even work to start with.
  2. I just bought a Monty 221 Pr 31.8mm stem thought that my tryall top cap would fit it doesnt. does the monty karmel top cap fit this stem?
  3. For me its having a good back brake that holds well and doesn't slip.
  4. You dont need a tool have a look at this http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/media.php?group=guides&id=1 hope you can get it sorted.
  5. Liked the vid saw the first clips you did, a definite improvement your balance is alot better now keep it up.
  6. Couldnt watch video clip 6 to the crash as the camera made me feel sick and dizzy so had to turn it of. Dont rate them cameras.
  7. You leave that bike alone my mate is on about buying it lol.
  8. Ive just been on and put together the lightest mod i could from tarty bikes, it came to 7.5kg and cost a stupid amount of money. Am gonna weigh my mod and see what it weighs am guessing around the 9 to 10kg mark.
  9. If i was you i would get a Onza Zoot 24 http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=11230&category_id=50 If i was to get a new bike i would get one of these they look amazing. Or if you decide to go with a 20 i would go with the echo lite good for street riding http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=10929&category_id=10
  10. Lightest one i could make for a mod from tarty is. RockMan Non Disc hub = 64g + 24g Spokes = doesnt say the weight Monty Kamel 20 rim = 283g Rim tape = ruffly 20g Maxxis Ultralight 20 tube = 102g Try-All Stiky Front 20 tyre = 508g Total = 1001g + spokes.
  11. Nice vid, with your next vid try and add some pedal kicks in it as the side hops got abit boring towards the end.
  12. Yeah the tryall forks are amazing got them on my bike at the moment light but also strong.
  13. |f i was you the only think worth changing on it will be the forks, you can save more weight from them then changing other parts, and they are quite cheap to replace. The rest of the parts in my oppinion arent werth replacing as the weight you would save against the cost is not worth it.
  14. If i was you i would keep the cranks get a bash ring for them and a screw on sprocket. If you look on tarty at the screw on sprockets the Surly Screw On sprocket goes up to a 22 teeth.
  15. Try water in it, if its its shit then go back to oil it doesnt take long to bleed a brake.
  16. I am thinking about getting some heatsink V pads for my mod as i find Rock CNC V-Pads realy POO. I would like to no what V pads are best on a Mod with a worn grind on a Try all rim. Heatsink CNC or Coust Vee Pads ?
  17. should be able to get the chain of with the tool, if there is a clip on the chain then just undo that it's easy. Or if its the other type of chain the should be a pin it looks slightly different to the other links, it only goes out one way so you the tool on it the wright way.
  18. what a cut on the leg looks sick, if you havent got a padlock on that shed then put one on so your bike doesn' t get stolen.
  19. If you bash and dent the frame alot, I would move to a 26 as the frame is higher of the ground and you you tend to bash it alot less. But if you dont seem to be denting your frame at the current time then its not worth a change.
  20. Correct me if am wrong as it might be a bad idea. have a slightly looser chain so it has more movement / flex
  21. i use V's on front and back of my mod and did on my stock till i sold it. I like V brakes better then HS33, they seem to hold better in my oppinion and the leaver seems easier to pull in if you have a decent cable. i ran on my stock SD7 callipers on the back with SD7 leaver and on front Shimano Acera callipers with SD7 leaver. both with clark cables this was a awsome set up. on my mod i tryed running the same set up but the SD7 callipers were two small for the back wheel so moved them to the front and put the Shimano Acera callipers on the back as they were taller. I find this set up even better then i had on my stock. So in my oppinion, yes it would be a waste of money. I rate the Shimano Acera callipers more then the SD7 ones and they are the cheapes ones on tarty i love the SD7 leavers though they are ace, work well and are cheap.
  22. Thats the best brakeless vid ive seen by a long shot He is better then me with brakes
