  1. The thing that annoys me about that video is that there's no mention of the fact that he's clearly had a huge amount of funding to build that, hardly off his own back was it.. It's not amazing that he's created it reaaaally, given enough money and the facilities to build something like that I'm sure tonnes of people could create a similar beast. Instead they have jobs and spend their time earning money, he's been given the opportunity to build it. That's the amazing part about it.
  2. As was mine, and I hated the thing. It was so underpowered it was genuinely dangerous. I think that's the case with the 1.5D too... except worse. I should have mentioned only the gti has the thicker RARB. The 1.1 is still undeniably the second worst car ever behind the Daewoo Matiz.
  3. A slow muscle up, yes. But a lot of the ones I see people doing are predominantly down to a technique which conserves momentum thus no better for you than doing some monkey bars!
  4. The 106's have a thicker RARB and different shocks I think, not that it makes the slightest bit of difference. Mine rolls like nobody's business. I'd like to lower it by ~40mm and put it on some much stiffer coilovers and I think it would be a fun little thing to drive.
  5. Are muscle ups actually a good compound training exercise, or just look cool/are fun?
  6. I've never had the pleasure. Joking aside the diesel 106's are a tragedy on wheels ~15 seconds to 60 iirc. Get yourself behind the wheel of a 106 gti and you'll see.
  7. Get out. Chavs drive Saxo's, everyone knows that. Gentlemen drive 106's.
  8. Landlords, why are they so SO against sending me a tenancy agreement so I can sign it?! I've phoned them each day since viewing last Thursday asking for it to be sent and been told they would do it right away. Do they not even want my money? bastards
  9. Unexpected cheque for £40 from Virgin Media
  10. Yeah the battery is mega, which is surprising given how bright the screen is. I've had mine for 6 months now and can't recommend it enough for the price I paid.
  11. Incorrect, Brighton is at least twice as good as Swansea.
  12. Shout out to Brighton, who's rent is double what I was paying in Swansea
  13. The Oneplus One is mega, should be cheaper than the s4 too since its big brother was released yesterday.
  14. I think I'll implement a finders keepers losers weepers policy. I'm at home from the beach now, so without driving back for an hour I can't even take it to the station- was banking on this wifi idea.
  15. I'd only recognise them in a wetsuit Thanks for the quick replies guys!
  16. Unfortunately I'm no longer on the beach so it isn't an option. Would I be right in saying that the 'wifi enabled' feature is purely to use wifi remotes to begin recording? I've looked at what's on the memory card and there's a few photos of a kid on a body board, I'd recognise them but chances are they have gone home after a weekend at the beach.
  17. Hi guys, I've found a go pro hero 3+ on the beach, and want to know if because it's wifi enabled I can video myself and try to make contact with the owner. So does the 'wifi enabled' function allow the camera to upload using my wifi to wherever the owner is backing it up to? I know some of you have these and as always TF is the best place to ask! Thanks
  18. Well that video was awfully cringeworthy- would have been cooler on a Leeson, however.
  19. Someone dies at a party in Bexhill having done laughing gas, the BBC interview someone and report.. "I've seen people hurt themselves with laughing gas. They stand up and spin with balloons and I saw one person fall over and land on the steps and crack his glasses." And the moral of the story is....
  20. Spotted this in Wetherspoons today. Was annoyed.
  21. A little bump for those who have helped/read this topic and want to know what's happened. I worked really hard over exam time, and managed to average 70.2% over the 5 modules I took in summer and got 67.5% overall. I made a UCAS application and applied to 5 universities and received two offers, one from Cardiff (requiring 55%) and one from Sussex (requiring 60%). I went to Sussex's campus and really liked it, can see myself studying there and have around 10 friends who live in Brighton. Obviously I have accepted Sussex's offer, which made sense on paper too with double as many people getting first class degrees than Cardiff who I originally thought I wanted to go to. Although I didn't get a chance to look around Cardiff I couldn't have gone there knowing that the chances of me getting a 2:1 or above are so much lower. Some housing problems at the moment, having signed for a house in Swansea for a year but hopefully that will work out and I'll find a fresher to take my spot (the landlord is yet to confirm this is ok..). But ultimately I'm happy- I guess. It seems that doing poorly in my A levels is finally going to stop hanging over me and I'll be at the 9th best physics university in the country. If you happen to believe The Guardian. Thanks to anyone who helped, I considered everything that was written in this thread and it did help me sort myself out.
  22. Refund and sadness received. :'( If enough of us can make one of those dates I'd still be very up for coming.
  23. Exactly. N00b gains are real, just by lifting and eating a caloric balance (in mainly whole foods) its possible to cut fat and build muscle. After heavy compound lifting for a year or so and reaching a plateau you should be looking more closely into your macros.
