  1. Yeah lets not fight. A cruiser is a 24 inch BMX, used primarily for racing, like this SE Racing Floval Flyer, you could say an overgrown BMX, if you wish as it is a BMX but bigger. There is no thought process behind why I dislike the style of Danny Mac and don't particularly enjoy watching it. It 'aint personal, there is no dislike of Danny Mac as a person (I aint' met him, he could be nice, could be a dick for all I know). I'm not slating at you for getting enjoyment from Danny's videos, hey if you like it. I wouldn't say its off topic a picture of some Emmenatal cheese would be.
  2. Yeah, If you notice I didn't say Danny Mac was not a very talented rider nor did not say his orange 'cruiser' was a poorly set up bike, all I said, was, in a rather opinionated slightly bullish manner, 'Could watch all day him unlike that Scottish bloke on that overgrown orange bmx'. The flatlandish parts in the video were noticed and duly noted, as was the manual. Both nice, looked good. It's like me saying that I'd rather watch a video of Waffle rather than Mark Webb, two talented BMX riders, or I'd rather ride mod than stock. Once again I would like to re-iterate that, I did not say Danny Mac is 'sh@t' nor that his 'cruiser' was shit, only orange, what I said was: 'He's legit Could watch all day him unlike that Scottish bloke on that overgrown orange bmx' See no 'sh@t' talking about Danny Mac, just pure 100% proof unadulterated opinion (triple distilled too (like Smirnoff))
  3. He's legit Could watch all day him unlike that Scottish bloke on that overgrown orange bmx
  4. cheers boss! looks like the clearance is ok to, thanks again
  5. What vee you running on the back, I asked about the possibility of doing it on my zoo and the experts started running their mouths like. So it is possible, and looks like it works, thanks experts. Anywho enough bitchin So whats the set up? Cheers
  6. It don't work well, i knocked me up a similar thing on a real old shitty bike to bodge some forks in, granted it worked but it weren't too great. My method was basically an extension of the head-tube, had I welded the piece of tube to a headset cup it probably would have been a lot better. So maybe a steel headset cup welded to a bit of steel with the right id would be a better solution than some headset spacers
  7. In the Hellfrauds local to me I saw an employee measuring a (clearly 700c) wheel with a tape measure. Then when he was reliably informed by the customer that it was 700c he informed them it was a tyre size, not a wheel size. I was practically crawling over the counter to give him a sense-backhand.
  8. If it was me, I'd hang it, assuming its double wall I'd get me a spoke, bend it to a 90 poke it in-between the walls, make a hookyhook on one end and hand it from one of the beams in the garage then spray, if you do it flat you'll have to flip it and that would be a pain
  9. i think the main market for the 22's is the lankier among us, so they dont need to ride such odd shape bikes, long tt short chainstay. makes the bike feel more compact although its physically a bigger bike no point other than rider preference i suppose, like bar angle/height etc
  10. SEZ ME! lol. Jason Levy too "we really should be riding 22" wheels" DIG BMX issue 79 This guy -> (note he is riding a 20" and it is old school but there is a rather large gap where he eats it, with 22s he reckons he'd have made it) Not much grounds for it really, it seems to be a good cause for argument in BMX too Trials would be the perfect place for some oddball shit like this imo to be honest i just like the sound of 22
  11. Didn't Monty to a bike with a 23" rear wheel back int' day, however it might have been a 25" but tis still an odd size. As for 22" they are meant to be the optimum size for BMX and we should all be using them Wouldn't it be better to squeeze a 22 into a double disc mod frame? I think it'll give better geo than putting them in a 24 the BB will be digging a furrow
  12. That theyre lovely and full of feel, except when they're on a rather abused old trials bike and are a wee bit flexy now! I love steel, feels like proper metal like Put it this way, my bmx has a smaller frame, higher standover and more clearance than my current Mod
  13. Fun and not a funny feeling in my knees. Get my new bike built so I don't have to ride a STEEL Megamo anymore Keep on doing it, maybe progress a bit, not too fussed as long as it stays fun like
  14. no cranks at all? just use it like an overgrown scooter
  15. good game, horribly hard to play (mainly cos i'm useless) but really good, could play it all day, like the trials 3d on the XBOX but better cos' its on bikes and free
  16. Work up to it, start smaller/practice the height you can do till its so easy it doesn't even make you think, then move up to higher. Learning more technique and practicing it on low stuff helped me a lot with my sidehopping
  17. I was just looking at my hands, although my right grip wears more my left hand is more calloused, odd!
  18. I broke my rear foot shoe the first time I rode in them, the sole just popped open, hasn't split anymore though and it's been about a year now
  19. As the bike has the old 1pc crankset (the old BMX standard) why not get the smallest non nano drive front sprocket (i think halfords do a 22t or 24t salt one) and throw that on the front. Take the coaster apart (pads out/arm off etc), just as a temporary measure like, then get a new rear wheel
  20. Cheers, a photo would be cool if you have some time, looks like its gunna be a suck it and see situation. What arms are you running? I dont mind tight clearances, my play bike has about 1mm of tyre clearance (rear with a ghetto slick) and you can't run the dust boot on the vee brake! She's tight
  21. nice collection! Just wondering if you could take a photie of the rear vee set up on the Bird? Just for the clearance and all that, people said it couldn't be done on my ZOO! and I want one on it
  22. I'd get some proper goggles for what they cost (cheaper than new eyes), the Moto x goggles have loads more vents in so they let more shit in. but They're better than no goggles, its amazing how much a grain of sand sized speck of hot metal hurts
  23. Reckon I'll pop across for the Saturday, Metcheck don't look too happy for then but it is over a week away
  24. I'm building a mod, Zoo! Lynx, thinking of going vee on the back, only ever used the HS-33 in trials. So If I get a good quality vee (was thinking an SD-7 with SD-7 lever on Neon adapters), will it be as fast, bitey and locky etc as an oil bled HS? I know Ali C is gonna be all; vee, vee, vee, to be honest its probably why I'm thinking it that and I'm developing a love for the vee feel specially up front :|
  25. yeah, i wont keep it there that long, do a lot of plastic work so i know how quick it likes to go up in smoke
