Got a Civic I’ve bought in for breaking tonight and found it was fitted with some HKS Hypermax D coilovers.. apparently a popular choice in the day with nice characteristics and valving for use on track. They need re-charging (gas and oil shock) and from the reading ive done they need to be filled with dry Nitrogen at 85psi.. anyone know where I could have such a thing done? I’m tempted to try them over my Yellow Speeds which I feel are quite soft now.

I initially thought the same, I’d have rather have another Cadwell day/value credited to my account to use when it suited me but I suppose they could have just done nothing at all. Taking it as an opportunity to try somewhere new for “nothing”. Borrowing my friends Transit to take it on though.. I don’t fancy 3 hours 40mins each way in December in the Civic anymore.

They’ve booked Snetterton in December exclusively for those at Cadwell that day completely free of charge to us, so two for one sort of deal by means of an apology. They obviously knew track time per driver/car wasn’t going to be great so I think a second day for nothing is very good of them.

All of the above was a waste of time for the most abysmal track day I’ve been on. 110+ cars due to a booking error, called off in the morning for fog and idiots running slicks in less than ideal conditions causing red flags and an eventual early track closure.

Update on’t Honda. Cadwell Tuesday next week. Cars been stood for 3-4 months since Oulton last and was pretty grim so I set to reassembling the interior and tidying some bits and bobs up. - New Hybrid Racing intake and filter - Replacement PBS brake pads - New rear ARB links (rose jointed) - Brake pipes clipped down inside - Bit o paint inside - Rerouted shifter cables - Flush through brake fluid Re-insured, feels like a rocket after driving the 306.

Most comfortable lever I’ve used on any bike to be honest, the Hope Tech levers on my Orange aren’t as nice as these haha I’m pretty impressed with it as a whole, it’s been a long time since I’ve ridden a mod of my own, probably close to 6 years if not 7 so I was unsure but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. The fact it fits in the boot of the car without having to take an Allen key to it or deflate tyres to remove wheels is the biggest positive I’ve seen so far

Had my first proper hop about up Shipley Glen after work. Despite my last few bikes being 24”/stock this is pleasantly good fun! Still managing to do a few old moves I did a few years ago. The trialtech levers are possibly my favourite thing on the bike. Very nice to use! Trialtech components are prominent throughout the bike which is very unlike my old bikes and it feels very solid. I’m made up with it.

Yeah Adam said the same thing when I called up earlier to add them to my order. New hoses and fittings throughout with the exception of some pre-loved slave cylinders now so I’m hoping for good things. Looking forward to it.

Leaky. Trialtech levers coming

Used a racing line piston in the rear brake, feels great and visually no leaks after a bit of a hop around. Front is leaking from the crossover slightly but feels okay, looks promising. Just have to try get a good brake on these trial tech rims now..

This, even some of the more “tame” looking sections at Shipley Glen are mind boggling in person. He rides with precision and ease like no one else. Truely too of his game. Hermance and the likes of are good but Jack makes it all looks like child’s play.

Wonder if standard Magura pistons would be okay? Got one racing line piston and two Nylon Magura pistons.

Seen price on those though!? I need a pair and they’re a bit strong for a Yorkshire man such as me sen

First post in this part of the forum for donkeys Bought a bike and was given a selection of brake spares with it, 04 Maguras, 05 Maguras, Echo etc.. all with ruined threads or bores now I’ve looked at them. It’s left me with three Tensile lever units that visually look okay but I’ve never tried nor heard any feed back. Am I wasting my time trying to use them? If so what’s the lever unit of choice these days? Trialtech? Cheers.

An echo from the year 20something. Mostly Jitsie/Trialtch spec. Nice and light and nothing too fragile. Just need to put some brakes on this week when the bits I need turn up and I can see how much balance I’ve lost. Was going to run dual disc but I don’t want to change forks or front hub so dual mag it is.

S2000 and a cleannnnn EK hatch in for some electrical gremlins sorting this week. S2000 was a simple misfire though the fans are running all the time even when cold. Suspected fan switch on thermostat housing. Civic has just been painted, and now won’t run.. lack of decent/clean earths is my first thought. EP3 Type R in tonight for a VTC gear change, and should have another Civic EK coming in to complete an abandoned K20 conversion. Been quiet the last few weeks but it’s good to have the book filling up again.

Tag Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph. Not a huge face which seems to be the thing to have now which In turn makes it pleasant to wear without being intrusive. Have an MVMT I wear more often than this and it’s uncomfortable in comparison.

Smashed in the B18c4 swap this weekend. In and running for Saturday afternoon. She rang and asked for a rear disc conversion doing too so that was a nice bonus on top. Engines sweet as, really do forget what nice cars these are to drive without the track orientated additions im used to now.

Had a nice Ep3 in last week (if you ignore the gash stickers). Various bits and bobs done but the 3rd gear crunch was the customers main woe. All sorted with a replcement hub and synchros. Civic B18c4 conversion this weekend, along with a rear disc conversion and new brake lines throughout

On a scale of mildly annoyed - pissed off, I’m beyond it. Gutted 5.1 Final Drive arrived today but two teeth on the pinion are damaged.

Unexpected quiet morning = Progress. Dash out, all wiring now removed. Seam sealer to attack next along with any un needed brackets.

After being sent the wrong final drive three times I’ve finally happened upon an OEM 5.1 final drive for my Coupe. Should shorten things up nicely! Hopefully find the shorter 4th 5th and 6th gears I’m looking for in time too. Hoping for a weekend to remove and split the gearbox to add both the final drive and those gears. Found a spare hour this afternoon and got most of the sound deadening knocked out of it. Next job has arrived now so it’s been pushed back up to the top of the yard again until I get another moment to work on it. Dash out next to access the remainder of the sound deadening/insulation... side cutters and test light/multimeter at the ready to do some loom lightening.
