  1. my dads quiet into me riding and know some of the big names and things where as me mum goes for the ohhh be careful ben approach. other than that the rest of my family havnt a clue what i do on a bike. ben
  2. id say u want somthing about like 35 inches to start on so it actualy works im not much cop at taps but you just sort of skim the wall to start with and it naturaly kicks you up a bit more its hard to explain realy and i do 3/4 of a crank turn as with a normal backwheel. hope that was help if it even made sence. ben
  3. the left hand bearing on my echo BB only lasted about a week properly and when i opened it up today its absoultly dead in there (bearing falling out) i was wondering if any other bearing would work in there (it cant be to disimilar to a race face bearing etc.) thanks for any help. ben
  4. wont mod hubs blow up if you use them on a stock because of the higher torque? i dont realy see the point in a 116mm rear hub in it i mean why realy?i spose it will be cheaper for mod riders to convert to it but still im not keen though i have to say the 60mm bb rise is fun to ride but not for me. ben
  5. i was gutted when i heard as well he was realy funny but intresting to watch. i dont normaly like people on telly but he was an utter legend going to miss seeing him on telly good man at least he went doming what he loved still a shame R.I.P ben
  6. koxx pads are grind pads id say even though they seem to blunten them realy quick. crms are awsome on a grind but i wouldnt say there much cop on a smooth rim zoos are the norm for a smooth rim but as soon as u start using tar pads dont realy matter as ali said a small poodle and some chips would do. ben
  7. work for a local paper blind people take half of there photos it seems to me. i find it intresting but no wear near intresting enough to make a job from it and you need to buy a fair amount of kit...not a cheap game at all. ben
  8. if you cant be bothered to read that it basicaly comes down to surface area a grind on a rim means the rubber like goes in and the surface area is increase there for the surface area but with a disc the hard pads wouldnt sink in meaning your only decreasing surface area and there for friction. ben
  9. my friend sam has been using one for a while and he pritty much kills bikes he just seems to eat wheels but he seems to like it and said its got a nice stiff feel to it also looks very simialr to the echo ones but i mean when u can get last years race face stem for £13 from crc id rather do that but yeah they look alright to me..not so keen on there bars
  10. i love my RB but yeah i have felt some V's like the ultimate that do seem as powerfull to me and yeah the simpleness is realy good but after a while you dont realy think much of bleeding a magura and the uneaven wear it a pain are the CNC backings any good for stopping that? i like the fluid feel of maguras though i tend to find you knwo where you are with them a bit more if that makes sence they dont have much modulation though the little naughtys. ben
  11. id love to have a DHie sort of bike to trash around but affording to run a trials bike is expensive enough. pic aren't to bad just want to bring the shutter speed up a bit i reckon but does look fun..jealouse. ben
  12. the hs33 has a smaller piston and that makes it more power full from what i understand 25% more powerfull other than that its just the TPA and the sketchy plastic bodys. RB is the way though...better TPA more powerful nicer feel and lets be honest they look the sex hard to set up though but its worth it. truly is ben
  13. i would advise a mavic ex721 id be running one of my frame liked rims that narrow. but there all naughty and dont nowerdays
  14. iv neaver used anti frezze in mine iv heard that does damage the seals think ill have to this winter though. most anti freeze you buy tells u the ratios im pritty sure. as far as bleeding goes i think of the finger over a straw thing if u suck coke into a straw then put a finger over one end non will come out the other the same is true witha break also the bigger the syringe you can find the better realy a lot of people do water bleeds in a sink or somthing but of course if you are using anti frezze this probly wouldnt impress your mum to much. ben.
  15. id always go for the new rim it wont last long with flat spots they soon start growing then not long and bang goes the wheel and you need new spokes again. ben
  16. thought the tap photos were nice the angle you was at in one was proper crazy. also in the drop pic the woman walking long looks realy tall made me smile...just me then? ohh well
  17. iv neaver relay worked out why they are so pricy i mean there justa big bag realy so seems a bit harsh to me. ben
  18. i now good ridge hosing needs water as its thinner and oil feels poop in it but thats has a PTFE kayer the stalnell braid is what stops it leaking though the PTFE if for smoothness and thats about it. ben.
  19. seems a bit drastic to me to be honest i love my RB and i think gloves give u just as bad blisters. halfords the best bike shop ever (kinda) had break leaver grips not used them as i nvr seem to have the finger poping off problem that would mess with my world though what if it went ona drop gap thed be tears indeed ben.
  20. there not as good for trials spesific stuff but there awsome prices and postage times www.chainreactioncycles.com and www.bikedock.com air vallys cycles tend to be good as well but iv not used them and a lot of people use wades but they seem to have a lot of problems and merlin iv not used but there prices seem up to scratch ben
  21. if you have done a sketchy bleed like me where you basicaly fill the resivoir up then open it as you cant push the pistons back as the systems full if that makes sence to you. it might also just be a spacering problem 9i take it you have a shim set) or maby the forks need faceing hope do it kit but i think there quite expensive so id get a bike shop to do it we have one at our halfords hope that was some help. ben

    Drop

yeah that wasnt bad just smoothen it up now and then go off somthing bigger but if you was wearing a helmet and u landed startit on your head its likely you would die still but im all for helmets think iv been saved like a bad head injury twice with mine and you can get helmets pritty cheap if your not worried about looks or any thing like a tenner or somthing for a manky potty but they all pass the same safty tests.
  23. joe nichals a guy iv ridden witha few time has a hayes nine and he swears by it im not to sure on all the haynes modles though it has the carbon fiber lever i dont know if thats any good
  24. you could have tryed useing an easy out they only tend to work on fairly unstiff bolts and this sounds like it was in a treat another thing iv nto used but is meant to be well usful is an impact driver it like a screw driver you hit and it spins id have thought that could have been helpfull i wouldnt have thought the bolts would rust in very fast though even if you hadnt greased them seems strage to me if you had only just iftted the booster was the bolt bent at all?
  25. theres now rela reason to change it as it will still be as strong as a 68mm bb as it is one and it realy shouldnt put any stress on the frame only bad thing is looks and ill be honest i couldnt careless about the look of my bb
