as mustard. Rode really well (for me) at my come back trial couple of weeks ago!

Numbers on the up, Happy days thanks guys. Yes you can pay and enter on the day. Ross re your competitive streak.. I have been thinking about this. I don't really want to set out another route for one rider. I rode a motorbike trial a couple of weeks ago and what they did was put in some alternative gates in some sections to harden up the A route. So if the other red route riders have no objections, I was thinking of doing it this way for Aaron and anybody else, Then he gets to ride most of the red route and some Elite level gates as well. Thoughts? Unless you have been putting in the hours practicing.

Good to see you back for this year, That's two now. Any hope of getting any of the Peebles club trials riders along?

Don't comment much on videos, but what Ben says.

As the only on site organiser of Fort William, I run two British events in Scotland that are completely different. One I get no help at and took me ten full days to organise in 2014 and a few weekends last year before I hurt my back and could not attend. I also have a lot of unseen work with the organisers that I will not go into here. The fact that we as the trials seemed to be the main entertainment last year for the paying fans as the weather curtailed everything else and didn't even get a thank you. Please if you want to organise it then I will only be to happy to pass over the massive list of things requiring to be done pre event. And the lack of entries also makes it a loss making event. And no, nobody gets any money from the BTF to fund foreign events. British cycling do not fund one penny to any trials riders competing in the world champs but if you ride anything else then welcome in. Most arrogant, bad mannered people I have ever had the misfortune to come across. and that include some of the riders. The other one I have a weekend pre event to move some stuff around if there is a machine on site (for free) and have a lot of help to set up and design new sections a couple of days before. Looking at some interesting new venues for Scottish/British round next year.

Always one for you Ross, well spotted. Good to have regulars and more along please, we really need to up the rider numbers this year!! I need to get conformation of who is coming to each event as I will not run trials this year with low numbers.

Hi Stuart, My son ride/competes, but we live near Haddington, Edinburgh isn't to great for venues to ride. Outside the new parliament building and that's about it. We have a barn near us that he rides in, more than welcome if you can get out here. He is on Holiday next week so he can ride next week.

Hi, even if you do your entry, then turn up at the event the day before. You can walk the sections and there are usually riders and officials about to have a chat with. You could then decide your class for the next day. Its all pretty easy going as long as you get your entry in on time. Great to have an Irish rider in the championship. If you want give me an EM through the Scottish club link on the BTF website and we are over practicing below Glasgow at Bob Macgregor Academy, that's not to far from Stranraer ferry.

Hi all, 13September 2015 Entry form attached for the Applecross round 5 of the Scottish champs. New venue with amazing rocks in an amazing part of the country. Please read the small print on entry form. The venue is around half a mile from the closest parking and Lewis will run a shuttle from parking to venue. Please be prepared with spares, tools and especially good warm, waterproof clothing as we are over 2000 feet up and the clouds do come in off the sea. Applecross is the most amazing place for those of you that have not been and has a wee alpine switch back pass to get to it. Thanks to Lewis for organising the venue and I think we will be camping at Applecross campsite from Friday night. Please make the effort to come and end of year awards will be presented after the event. Can last years champions bring their cups with them so we can present them to this years. 2015Applecrossentry.doc

Brilliant day and the sun shone. Hope everybody had a good time and enjoyed the variety of sections that this great venue offers. Swiggys cakes and food were up to the usual standards. Big thanks to Adam and Stan for running the Saturday give it a go day and from that, the Scottish club has gained a few new younger riders, so thanks from the Scottish club. It is a fantastic way to introduce new riders to the sport and I hope you can find the time to do more around the nationals.

Scottish round 3 Killin SATURDAY 27th June
kevind replied to kevind's topic in Clubs and Competitions
Hi Team, The weather for Friday set up and the trial on Saturday looks absolutely terrible and therefore as most of you know the rocks are unrideable when wet. I will keep a look out on the weather and make a call Wednesday/Thusrsday. -
Wee Scottish contingent here. Brilliant day, sections were well marked out and seemed to be at a good level for everybody. Didn't see much other than red route and a few other riders through my drug confused state. Thank you to all who gave up there day(s) to run it and Philippa for the tea and re freezing my ice pack which did really help with the drive home. Hope everybody has a good time at there world champs that are going and good luck. See you all at Bob Macgregor, and work will be starting perhaps even this week with a drive through to check it all out.

rotating your bars so that they are level with your bottom head race! Seriously Danny for street trials and trials bikes with seats on them on a world wide scale gets my vote.

Great wee vid Ben, but another Scottish rider all on his own. Lets get a weekend somewhere, with anybody invited. -
I think certainly at comp and maybe at street, that the moves the top guys are capable of now dictate the need for a very strong bike, with little flex. The hang on the front wheel up to back UCI sections also need a very strong front end, so weight perhaps is not a big a deal as it use to. If you are a youngster starting out then weight will be a big issue. There again Abel has just posted pics of his Clean with holes everywhere, so what do I know.

Hi Team, Entry forms for round three at Killin. Please note it is a Saturday event. Again keep an eye on the weather as if its wet then the rocks are to dangerous. 2015killinentry -.doc

Sorry team, I couldn't make it.(first one ever) I have a recurring back injury that just puts me in my bed for a week or two. Weather did the usual. Thanks to Aaron and others who helped set up the sections Saturday. Thanks to Caron and others for doing all the paperwork. Small entry again which doesn't make the events viable, so please try to gets some mates along or make the effort. Fort William is the next one and entries must be done through bike trial federation. Hope I can make it.

Getting the van packed to head of in the morning. Should be up around 11am. Sections routes all sorted so just need marked. Cant get a break at this venue with the weather, bring your waterproofs, but at least it wont be snowing.
-
My busy one coming up and here a few updates. The rear two arena sections will have no trucks in front of them this year. I have found a new section up at the dam which looks very good. You can walk to it or swim to it if its sunny!

Thanks but got a reply from FFR and they say he cant ride a championship event as he needs to be a French national. So that's that.
-
Need a bit of help here? Anybody rode in a French round. Obviously it will be a foreign rider so wont be eligible for points but that's ok. Does he need a license and how do you enter? Registration link on the web page just takes me to the main cycling site!! Heading to Italy so its on the way ish.
