Nah! Only when I had to throw my bike back across the river and then paddle back through...as it was about a 5 mile walk back around to the other side, in a town in France when I had no idea where I was going! Went over the bars when I landed though, and got a puncture

You'll have to come over for a blast when you're back ont bike..just a few of us like. There's some proper good spots if you know where you're going and we never get kicked off anywhere with like, 6 of us Massive rides are pretty lame in Leeds though. None of the spots really lend themselves well to having about 50 riders and you just can't get anything done cos they're too confined. Not like Bristol where you've got Castle Park and Lloyds - huge open spots with loads of different walls.

If he'd just randomly hopped off into the bush as he was riding across the wall / doing something else - it'd have been mildly funny. As it was..anti-climatic

If it's not starting it could be the immobiliser shitting the bed. Got an X reg..that went the other week. Immobiliser had to be reprogrammed with a new key. Apparently "wear and tear" - how this occurs on a computer I don't know.

Of course. The fact is people won't do it unless it's convenient or cheaper for them. Sadly the alternatives to driving a car just aren't.

The Hydrogen powered car will work and all the technologies have been developed. Honda are just releasing a car which runs on fuel cells. The issue is in the storing and transporting of Hydrogen to make it viable and safe for a mass market, like petrol is now. It's the person who comes up with that solution that will be very, very rich!

I can see both sides of the coin, University isn't for everyone. But it's definitely the best times of your life (from my experience!) Very often, companies come looking for graduates in respected Uni's and thats definitely a plus point. We get like 2 or 3 a week here at Leeds, all posted on a central board/forum for people to go for if they want. Saying that, on a night out I met this guy and we got chatting..said he was into web/php/mysql and that and worked from home/freelance. Talked to him about it and I asumed he was a student and did a bit on the side. BUT he said he totally didn't get on with school so quit when he was 15. Got no GCSEs but instead self-taught himself php/mysql. When he was 16 got empolyed by a design company on £20k a year - who didn't even ask his age! So after a bit when they found out he was only 17 (at the time) he had to leave haha. Now he's 19 and seems to be doing alright for himself..with not even a GCSE to his name. So yeah, you can do it two ways..

Basically, my Dad's school got an email from Thinkbikes the other day about organising demos/training sessions. Said i'd find out a bit more about it (from a riders P.O.V.) and see if it was worth doing / looking into. So yeah, anyone done or seen one? What goes on? Or anyone from thinkbikes want to come on and try and sell themselves to me?!

Aren't the Deng hubs/frames 116mm wide and the 24seven (assuming you mean a Holroyd) and other mods 110mm wide? Think that'll be it.

Chris Akriggs Bars And Going Brakeless Riding
boon racoon replied to Rusevelt's topic in Trials Chat
Just had a thought as far as "getting big" goes - yes, I know a lot of people want trials to stay underground and small but. Look at Slopestyle and where it came from: DH - not exciting enough to the public to be massively publicised Dirt - not hugely accessible Combine the two and you get a spectacle which is big business and exciting! And doing very well for itself. Can you see a similar thing in Trials? Competitions - not exciting enough to the public to be massively publicised When you get a cross-over you add speed and excitement and get events like the Bike Battle. And we're back to this old chestnut again haha. -
Whoops didn't see that! Probs been starting at this for too long :$

Doing my final year project designing a networking website for schools to procure / redistribute resources. Done an initial logo design for it as follows. Top one's more general, bottom one's more web. Background was just kind for look and feel. I know we've got some designers on here so come on, rinse it for all it's worth!
