Student rail card? 1/3rd off? If it's a £60 journey the rail card's already paid for itself. Not a bad deal I thought!

Proto for the new Ashton, maybe? What's so about that?

I like the fact that when I suggested the idea he laughed it off saying it was impossible, and then handful of tries later we had it filmed

I know what you mean man. If I'm on my 24 then there's ALWAYS something to do within riding distance - even if it's a 1ft ledge there's stuff to try / do on it. In Barnsley centre the other night there was a flowerbed with parallel walls like this | | about a foot high and a bikes length wide, and me, Judders, Lewis, Street and Tim sessioned it for ages making up tonnes of combos. I think it maybe comes from the older generation of riders, and the newer riders (hate to say it but TGS) look at stuff more conventionally and with less variation. 99% of riders these days would just pass them walls we rode off as a tiny up/sidehop/gap, be done with it and ride to a wall which is there or just above their sidehopping level. But then for those guys sessioning that wall for half an hour trying to stick a big sidehop is fun so it's just different, ennit.

If you go Config > Remote Control on VDJ it tells you the controllers which are supported mate. Here's the main ones off the top of my head: Numark Total Control Numark DMC2 Numark iCDX Behringer BCD2000 (I think the BCD3000 is the Mac version but I'm not sure) Edit: On Youtube there's tonnes of demos of them set up with VDJ..

Yeah it's pretty good like. If you're starting out / messing about and don't wanna beat match then it'll do it for you which is handy. It's better if you've got an external sound card or a 4.1 card because otherwise you have to have mono separated sound for the headphones (one channel) and speakers (other channel.) It's even better if you plug it into an external mixer (piece of piss to set up) which is what I've got because it's a bit restrictive just using the mouse (couldn't imagine using it on a laptop!) unless you're a weapon on the keyboard shortcuts. 100 times easier to alter the gain / treble / mid / bass with a proper mixer! You can also pick up decent midi controllers for about £100 so you don't need to use the keys / mouse at all but can still play via MP3. Ableton (software) is better - think that's what most Mac DJs use for clubs and that. Never used it though. Edit: Never going to match up to CDJs or Decks though. But obviously way way cheaper.

Because for the average rider who's Dad doesn't own KOXX, having parts that light would be suicide and not worth buying in the first place. For the masses they can't be produced at the weight Hermance needs/wants for top level competition. And just producing a small / one-off number of superlight parts with the mods done with drill/grinder is a lot more expensive than buying in bulk.

Are you sure about that?

I did a module on this and looked at people losing themselves in virtual worlds. Pretty crazy when you think about it. On Second Life you can actually put REAL money in and get L$ (Linden dollars/game currency) which you can use to buy things in the game. It's aiming to be exactly what it says - a virtual second life for someone which is a substitute for reality. You own things, buy things, do things just like in the real world. It is pretty sad I guess, from my perspective. But at the end of the day it's another escape from reality to make people feel better about themselves. If I go and spunk £40 getting twisted on a night out and enjoy it, someone else might plough £40 into the game on a Friday night and enjoy it just as much. Both have pros and cons. Both are equally valid as enjoyment. Did come across this which is pretty odd though haha..http://www.reuters.com/article/internetNew...453844620071114

Black Mountain made a trials frame which used to be dirt cheap. Silver, square tubes. Bit of a Pace copy. Dave you're not talking about Will Cogger are you?

Danny, Jon, Simon, Nick, Bren....? In the early stages of a website and I'm having trouble making some 'sliding doors' CSS tabs for the navigation using a list. Here's the URL http://www.curtisbikes.co.uk/ssn Basically, because the 2 bg parts of the tabs are PNGs, I can't find a way to hide the extended 'right door' on the tab which shows under the left curved edge - because it's transparent. If it was a solid image then it would obviously overlap and cover it, but the background isn't a solid colour. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks Boon.

Martyn's column in this months MBUK (out in a day or two) talks of sponsorship changes in various sports/disciplines for 2008 and says he'll be giving his team news for 08 in next months mag. Maybe it'll be announced sooner on here? I'm sure it'll all be cleared up soon but yeah, they're still going to be making bikes!
