  1. Go and tell that to braintreetrials spitting the dummy at the top of the page...
  2. It's only BMX racing that's in the Olympics. That's an entirely different (and queer) ballgame. And yes, from what I can gather he's been riding Trials and BMX pretty much hand in hand from when he begun. Hence his unique style and crossing over into other forms of MTB riding..
  3. Unless it has a story or angle behind it then what else is there to cover in trials that isn't already done by people taking photos or videos on rides? All the masses seem to want these days is pictures of the best tuck or videos with large TGS moves, which you get right here on the forum BMX mags by having high quality photographers getting TOP quality pictures. Even if stuff is shown in videos. MBUK I don't think have this - their photographers are more freelance and based around "good photography" and biking in general, rather than specifically focussed. BMX has contributing photographers (and good ones) to magazines from all over the place who ride as well..so are always part of the scene itself, going on trips etc. Helps loads I reckon. The text in MBUK just seems too forced and watered down to the point of it being embarassing. I know it's a different audience and all but BMX mags just cover things as it is in a very casual way, much more my cuppa tea. But then it's all down to the publisher too. Future is a big publisher, so operate in a more business-like manner with more reputation at stake. Hence MBUK employ well-known and renound photographers, probably at a high cost! I doubt Future would ever let articles run like ones you see in BMX mags! MTB has a much cleaner, more regimented image.

But you've f**ked up and forged a real licence..which are how much? Like 40 quid What happens if you ever had to show it to the police...?!
  5. This video is outstanding Cory Jarmen at the end..WTF?! Riding on what looks like a trials frame haha. Seriously low. But yeh, ideal P.S Whatever happened to the little wheels thread?!

    Fake I.d?

Guy on my course at uni runs this site.. http://www.fakeidentification.co.uk/fake-i...ntification.php Top ones are really authentic (bottom one's good too) He says he's had well good feedback on them and that more often than not they work! One of the best fakes out there... If you ask he may change the "International Driving Permit" to just say "Driving Permit" - as it stands out as being a bit long compared to where it would usually say "Driving Licence" *Can't* produce it with "Driving Licence" on it though..that would be illegal If a bouncer's checking loads and you look confident and just hand it over as a real ID - he'll just go straight to the date and you'll be fine.
  7. Get out of bed and do something Moping around in bed just makes you feel a lot worse Well, for me anyway. Laughing helps too.
  8. Ahh, another street vs natural..ideal That Hype bit in MBUK I *think* is written by Nick Larsen who runs Charge bikes and has connections with Hotwheels / importing Mongoose etc. He sometimes writes bits in there on the "scene" as to what's meant to be cool and what's not Either way he's always had a chip on his shoulder about the hoppyness of trials and it being lame/boring to watch. But then he does sponsor Akrigg and used to design for Pashley and sponsor Edd Tongue - so he's used to the style! I don't think what's written is way off the mark, hell I'd probably say something along those lines myself. Whether it should be in a national magazine or not is a different matter.
  9. I like it. Missing some frame close ups though on the product page surely? Edit - Wait i'm a numpty. Maybe they should come up automatically though? haha
  10. No mech or hanger = suggests going for some seriously skinny lines
  11. Anyone on here like much electro stuff? Stuff like Boys Noize, Kavinsky, Guns'N'Bombs, Surkin, MSTRKRFT, SebastiAn, Ocelot, Felix Cartal? If so, pipe up
  12. Is that why your name is MadManMike?
  13. Koxx make BMX race frames/bikes and by the look of it some other more general bikes as well. The BMX race market is huge / wierd. Kids get into it at like 6 years of age so probably going somewhere with their parents to get a top quality bike (it's very pushed by parents as well) isn't such a bad concept.
  14. Fair enough mate, conceded. I actually agree with you in thinking that quite a high proportion of people take drugs, above what the average person has drummed into their heads about the only people doing them are the minority 5% who are sucking at life and going to rob your home. I was just trying to point out that it might not be a great representation, but yeah. Oceana and Stonehouse in Bristol - good clubs?! I'd disagree with you on that though
  15. That really doesn't prove anything or go any way in representing what % of people take drugs! a.) If people you knew went there to sell drugs, the chances are they'd go to a place they knew they could sell them i.e. where they'd be surrounded by people who take drugs. It's not co-incidence or like they went there on the off chance and such a huge % of the population take drugs so they managed to shift them all! b.) That was 1 club out of how many in that town/city? How many others are there across the UK?!
  16. I reckon the frame looks decent. Pretty similar to an old Pashley 26mhz looks-wise - not a bad thing. And that 360 frame view thing on the website is amazing! Love it Rest of the website though Well too wordy. That warranty is a joke as well!
  17. Whatever happened to only being able to buy things that you have the means to pay for eh?!
  18. this is pretty hilarious! caught right in the act hahaha
  19. bmx video.. not sure what to make of it but it's certainly different! http://www.twentyvelocross.com/twentyV8new...wheretoride.htm edit: ok i think it's unreal! inspiring. you don't get anything like that in trials really
  20. ahh baggy jeans and hoodies everywhere! haha and everyone sidehopping from 2 wheels holroyd's gapdrop to roadside rail on his black brisa and gapdrop off the portacabin were the first instances of lairyness people ever saw i think.. and that grass bank to wall, over the corner and back down into the grass bank is probably still one of my favourite EVER lines. amazing.
