  1. Is that the short frame? I'd swap that half-link n all, I heard and have had nothing but trouble with them. Top build otherwise, I love my Lynx!
  2. Only problem with using anything larger than 160mm size rotor is that it would be more prone to getting knocked or hit on objects when your riding, side hopping for example. If I had a dual disk mod I'd stick with the 160 rotors rather than having to buy new 203 disks or straightening them each time I knock it when I may have got away with not hitting it at all with the smaller disk. But in the end its down to you mate.
  3. Unfortunately I don't think I'll have my bike in Plymouth for the ride on the 1st as I've got to pop home to sell some parts. This does mean I can bring my bike back to Plymouth on the journey back which means I'll be available for rides then on.
  4. Plymouth Trials social sounds top, would be ace to meet some more people at the uni and also a bunch of new trials riders, definitely up for a drink some time. I've been down in Plymouth for nearly 2 weeks now but freshers is coming to an end so I'll be starting my course soon, saying that though......... still doesn't stop me from going out for a drink every now and then haha Hope to catch up with a few of you soon.
  5. Yeh 1st year, going to be studying 3D Design. I'm guessing your at Plymouth n all?
  6. Just got to get all my bike gear up here (and my bike) now I've moved in at plymouth uni, definitely down for this, looks like Plymouth rides will be a regular thing for me this year.
  7. Haha, trust me mate it is a long ZOO! Lynx frame, well, unless Tartys sent me the wrong one when I ordered it ages ago which I doubt. I've got 55mm of stackers on the stem to make it feel a bit bigger to suit me, but maybe a higher front end still would make me look less cramped. I was going to build a stock but in the end I didn't want to spend all the money and still prefer my mod. Thanks for all the comments guys, I would definitely be up for a ride around Weymouth and Portland but I'm moving up to Plymouth uni next week so......Anyone ride up there or even starting uni there this year?
  8. Probably down to me being 6ft3 and also that I'm riding a mod.......
  9. Well I could have put money on you being the first person to comment on this haha.
  10. Hello everyone! A friend of mine just put together a bunch of clips that another friend filmed of me and a few mates over the summer. Nothing big at all (always feels better than it looks in a video), I'm not massively happy with my riding (I'm on the ZOO!) but I enjoyed making the video with everyone. Hope you enjoy it, comments would be appreciated, both positive and negative as they will help towards future vids I'm sure. I'd watch in the highest quality, its a lot better but still not perfect!
  11. Most definitely the Echo SL, even if it is going to be a long wait. Easily the best freewheel I have ever used. I agree with you on the Rockman, mine had a stiff point which caused it to skip, and because the Rockmans are welded you can't open them up to see inside. (which is just stupid)
  12. Damon!......You are a machine!!.......... 00:57 - Britain's new high jumpiest for the Olympics!!! That was just amazing!!
  13. This is the tool I’ve got 'Click' I think it should be fine. Well I don’t think I'm going to be doing much DH/Freeride on a hardtail jump bike, personally I think it’s the design of the saints that I like more, but, I think I'll go for the SLX's, from what you've said they're just as good as the saints and in the end they are half the price. Thanks everyone.
  14. Thanks for letting me know, at least I won't have to buy any extra tools when I get my new cranks.
  15. Thanks for the comments so far lads, looks like it will either be the Saint's or the SLX's. Personally I’m not too bothered about the weight as they would be going on my jump bike not on my trials bike which I have built to be light. I'm guessing that the hollowtech 2 bb tool is the same as the park tools hollowtech ring spanner sort of thing which I already have. Also, what is the 'preloader' that you said I should buy if I got the SLX’s?
  16. Just been to the Forest of Dean doing a lot of trail riding which has further damaged my previously worn bearings in my bottom bracket. The cranks are pretty worn out and old too. So, I'm looking for a new bottom bracket and cranks that will last me a long time, therefore they need to be nice and strong. I've seen a lot of downhillers, dirt jumpers and other mountain bikers using the Saint cranks so I’m guessing there pretty tough but they are quite pricey. Would just like to know if they are worth what they cost and if they would be a good substitute to my current 'BMX style' cranks and bb on my jump bike at the moment? Also do saints fit a 30T chain-ring? Comments would be much appreciated, thanks. James.
  17. That was one smashing vid some of the nicest downhill riding I've seen, the trail looked brill too! Love those Demo 8's!
  18. I think you take the barbed fitting out of the lever then use a hammer to tap it into the end of the hose, and then screw it back into the lever. That’s what I think from reading what you said and after looking at the pictures so I may well be wrong.
  19. Brill video, both the riding and the song had a great vibe, good job.
  20. That is one mean looking design will love to see how it turns out!

I've just swapped out my TSG Evo lid for a 661 Recon and I am very glad I did, the Recon is a hell of a lot lighter and you hardly notice you've got it on due to the weight and how comfortable it is, I would definitely recommend it.
  24. That was brill mate, loved it. Really liked the little half pipe sesh at the end too, not something you usually see in a trials vid.
  25. Looks like a top build mate, nice one! What are those 2011 HS33's like? Are they better than previous models? I'm thinking of getting a pair for my stock build.
