I couldn't recommend that one, it doesn't sit straight and I had to hack-saw a part off in order for it to tighten against the mech hanger. Then again, I shouldn't have bought the long arm one, and maybe I'm an idiot.
I don't even want to watch those documentaries because they'll plant ideas in my mind. (I watched Inception last night)
But seriously, I don't feel I can believe what anyone says about 9/11. I want to keep an open mind about the whole thing, at least until some hard evidence is given.
That's awesome, I didn't realise positive feedback from the public was even possible!
Luckily most people totally ignore me, although I do get a fair bit of interest from young people who've never seen a bike with no seat. The public around here don't seem aware of trials in the slightest.
Rain = Boredom. And boredom is bad because I might end up buying new parts for the bike.
I need some opinions; Would you spend lots upgrading a phase 1.1, or wait a couple months and buy a better bike?
Thinking about getting a slightly more street orientated 24".
Your total sounds about right. I know it'll vary a lot from person to person but that's almost exactly how much I spent in my first year.
I can't say that you've missed anything, just always expect to spend more than you have budgeted for.
Also, you may end up spending more on drink than you ever imagined possible, but that all depends. Cheaper if you're a lightweight I guess!
DO IT! If you have the means necessary that is.
How hard can it be?
Answer: Quite
I still have a 50cc honda engine left from a failed project that was similar to this, but hopefully you'll have more luck!
P.S. Anyone want a honda GX160 engine with a centrifugal clutch by any chance?
Ha, the Deerstalker run looks ace.
True, that wall is going to be a hard one, but if I have to skip it I wont be too upset. I'm pretty gutted after today's run since my knee is playing up again, last time that happened it lasted for months.
Maybe the deals are better these days but a few years ago I got a full set of new Hayes hfx9's with 203mm rotors for £100. Back then it was great deal.
That's a good price. IMO they're surprisingly good for a budget bike. I'm still running an old ~07 Diamondback Assault jump bike as my everyday bike. It's been through the wars and it's never gone wrong. The only major thing I've changed is the brakes. It's definitely worth upgrading to hydraulics if you find a good deal. I've been more than happy with the Assualt, they may be budget bikes but they give the more expensive rigs a run for their money. They are so much fun on DH tracks too.
Exact same thing happened to my phase, kept coming loose for a couple weeks then stopped. Been fine for a month or so now. Hopefully yours will stop too.
