  1. I'm finding the front to back wheel swap harder than I expected, certainly harder than it's made to look anyway. My issue is that when I try to go front to back I barely get the bike to move forwards, is there a sort of hop involved? And I imagine the timing of releasing the front brake has to be perfect? I've been practicing on a flat surface so that could well be a part of the problem. Cheers.
  2. Ah you make me so jealous. One day I will have this setup, that is, once I've got the money.
  3. I had a similar problem. In my case it was caused by bad quality disk bolts that would not tighten enough and eventually loosen themselves. Can you see the disk move at all? You could try with different bolts + PTFE tape. Otherwise I don't really know what to suggest other than the fact that my rear disk always made a noise like this but they continued to work fine.
  4. I would say don't use brake cleaner! It made mine worse.
  5. Hub you say? I didn't realise how much this sport was going to cost me, agh.
  6. Aston Martin Vantage Or the classic Skyline in my display picture.
  7. Ok thanks for the info, i'll be getting one then. Any recommendations in particular? I'm not looking to spend much.
  8. To anyone with brake boosters, are they worth it? Cheers. (I've got a MAD phase 1.1)
  9. Cheers, that looks pretty sweet. Just need some money now.
  10. Hey Tioz, can you direct me to some photos of your setup please? I've got a 1.1 so I'll probably convert to single speed at some point, i'm not fully decided because I do love having gears. They chain just skips occasionally which really irritates me, no idea what the problem may be as it's fairly new. At the moment I can't really afford to spend lots on the bike so i'm having to make do.
  11. I've been keeping my High Rollers at around 30psi but I plan on testing higher pressures, just having to get used to the solidity of the High Rollers. I was previously used to Schwalbe Table Tops (fitted to my jump bike). They have a lot more bounce and give and also much much less rolling resistance, I hate having to cycle long distances on the High Rollers. Also still getting used to having no suspension, my bony body is taking a beating but it's all part of improving I guess.
  12. I'd say I'm at a similar skill level at the moment but I can't side hop like that. Infact i'm gonna go practice that now. Damn I wish I had people to ride with.
  13. Hello all, I ride in Hamilton and as far as I know there are not many other riders around here. There are a few in Glasgow apparently. I'm pretty new to the sport, just got a proper trials bike yesterday, messed around on a jump bike before this. I was originally an avid mountain biker but living in an urban area with no car I have turned to trials. As a result i'm pretty useless at the moment but i'll be out most days trying to rectify this. My main issue is that with the low geometry of the bike I find it difficult to lift the front high enough for a decent bunny hop without pedaling. I've yet to get fully used to the bike anyway. If anyone is from the area let me know if there's any particularly good spots to ride, cheers.
  14. The Atomlab bike looks pretty decent, although I ride a 26". It sounds like you definitely need a dirt jump style bike. And single speed if you can live with it, or maybe just a tensioner.
