  1. Looks sweet. I'm lovin JAF bikes at the minute. Can't wait to see a vid of you riding this thing.
  2. Graeme recently dusted off his Curtis. I've ridden with him a couple of times
  3. What's that thing on the garden table Dan?
  4. Not many actually get their bikes out though unfortunately. Who did you used to ride with?
  5. They are really simple to service. I was dreading doing mine as I'd never done anything like that before but it was really easy. I think you'll probably be able to find a tutorial vid if you're not sure.
  6. You could pick up a few bits locally depending on what your after. I've got an almost complete gu le stock if you'd be interested.
  7. I meant I'd buy the one that costs less money.
  8. As seen as you don't like chineese shit I would have thought it'd be an easy choice. I'd buy the cheapest though.
  9. There's only a couple of us. I've only been at it a couple of years so we won't have met but I ride with Danny Walker who you might know. We ride a couple of nights a week and on a Sunday. Check out Hull Trials on Facebook.
  10. The company actually commented though and claimed it was suitable for people of all sizes and abilities. If they make claims like that then people will call them out on it.
  11. Send one to Damon. I'm sure he'd come out of retirement for half an hour to test one.
  12. 37g lighter than try all's and about £120 more expensive. That's crazy.
  13. Try and get on a couple of group rides and try a couple of people's bikes. Radfest next weekend would ideal. Depending on your circumstances obviously.
  14. Yeah. Like I said though the brakes alone are worth the price though so you can't go wrong.
  15. It's always best to ask about cracks and stuff though before buying, that way if its through PayPal or eBay you could get money back if it turns out to be damaged.
  16. You could start practicing track stands and get your balance right. It's always gonna be easier to learn with a trials specific bike but people still managed before all this stuff was about. A lot of my mates started on standard mountain bikes that were barely capable of xc riding. It's just a bit limiting really that's all.
  17. It's just the way the older bikes were designed. It's hard to say if it'd be any good without seeing it but as long as there aren't any cracks massive dents or gouges then it should be ok for learning. Worse case scenario you'll get your money back on the brakes.
  18. I snapped the body on my first pair of echo tr's after 6 months. They took a lot of abuse though so I put it down to my riding and bought another pair. They're still going strong after a year of average sized riding. I'm also 13.7 stone.
  19. I couldn't resist. My other post might help though.
  20. Usually a higher, shorter front end helps but I don't know what you've got and how it's set up. If you come from a bmx background then a trials bike probably will feel strange at first.
  21. Attach helium filled baloons to it.
  22. Grinding them gives more bite and better hold. It's good if your riding in the rain as well. Not everyone does it though, you can get your brakes working pretty good just by fettling them.
  23. Normally when I see female riders I think " not bad for a girl". This lass is good full stop. Camera work was a bit wobbly though.
