  1. Alright SD7 it is but How does SD7 levers compare to XTR ones?
  2. Okay, my three year old Hope trials needs to be replaced. I realized the bb7 that I had on my first bike is even older than the Hope and it is now on its third bike (A), performing flawlessly. So I'm going back to bb7 and I need to make some decision on the lever, between Avid SD7 and ultimate, is ultimate worth it? Sure it might be expensive, but expensive parts usually work and last better and works out to be cheaper in the long run.
  3. Gusset Double Six does fit on King hubs! I have it on my bike right now and it works awesomely
  4. The difference between wheel sizes can be overcome by your skill and practice, as well as your preference. I have seen some impressive riding on both 26 and 24.
  5. Been riding for 3+ years, all my friends are now from riding bikes. I have met people from the other continents and other parts of my country just for the fact that we all like trials. I am willing to lend anyone my couch if a rider comes over to my city. I was a loser before I started trials, giving up when things got hard. Trials taught me to push through the hard times and eventually I can make it. so yeah trials means a lot to me. Now I have a brakeless NS Suburban for street riding as well, but I will never give up trials.
  6. How does MT2 work for the front of a pure trials bike? I have a hope trials in the front of my Piranha, but I'm not happy with the performance Plus, Hope levers cut my fingers. Lol
  7. Valid post, but keep in mind rewelded aluminum will always be weaker than what it used to be.
  8. Will the continental tyres be available in 26 as well?
  9. http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/f9/ryan-leech-signature-commuter-37746/ Your thoughts on this?
  10. Well, I have recently had some bad injuries this season. And this got me thinking. Both of my injuries happened, riding really small moves. I had done them hundreds of times, but this time I was just not warmed up enough and bad luck. There are always lines that do not require a lot of skills, but just a lot of balls such as - small gap with a big drop in the middle - skinny lines on a high wall etc... so is it worth doing them? I would not be learning any new skills, and I wouldn't be breaking any records by doing them. .........But somehow if I do crash, doing those small moves with high risk, I feel so bad because I feel like the crash doesn't have any 'learning'. When I learn a new move, and get injured, I don't feel bad because I know it is part of the learning, and I know I am getting better by pushing it. I am sure many of you had an experience when you looked at a line, and said "I can do it, but what have I got to gain by taking the risk?"
  11. I think they should have both options for disc and rim. Why choose one when you can have both options open?
  12. Going out for a night ride on UBC trails today!

  19. Only thing would be the added weight of 175mm over 170mm but I can gladly add weight for the better power. Why does Echo only make 170mm cranks? Any specific reasons? I love my Deng cranks now but they only come in 170
  20. Do you actually feel the difference between the crank lengths on stock bikes? I have 170mm now, but I'm considering 175mm for my next bike.
  21. Does anyone have any experience with Onza Single Wall rims? or Trialtech SL Single Wall?
  22. Has there always been thin and thick versions of Trialtech foam? When I bought a bunch of these grips couple years back, I don't remember having to choose.
  23. So Olivier Régnière visits Vancouver this weekend, then Ricky Towler next weekend....... And I can barely walk with a crutch. FML! :(

  24. One thing I don't like is that you never predict when that would happen. It could be perfect without any skip or flex, then explode the next day.
