  1. constant oscillation strenght is the factor which you should care about, thats what i meant. just saying, when using a noble steel i´d deffo go for the lowest alloyed one because of that, thats less workhardening.
  2. i cant proof that, youre the welder, not me,but i always thought stainless steels are more brittle than "normal" alloys. think i read it has something to do with the missing austenite crystals, the higher the grade, the less?
  3. rockstar extra sour, apple flavour! could fill a tub with that stuff and jump into it not gonna do it though
  4. haha, not every topic gets from 0 to 7 pages in a few days, this did
  5. oh,dude. i´d apologize, honestly, cleric! the weird thing is i know the story behind this because he mentioned it in a pm in which he asked me something about marino frames. just dont know why he just didnt tell it in his topic, a potential buyer and/or moderators wouldve been understanding way better why he´s selling and so on.. dunno
  6. then it wouldve been cracking even earlier
  7. if i would be at the source,i´d have a few of them to replace if necessary. i have a spare frame if mine gives up,couldnt survive without riding
  8. people just didnt know about whats a good weld or not i think, sometimes its hard to see under paint edit:yeah seen a pic of one where the integrated headset cups were welded onto the headtube instead of being one-piece to it. the lower cup split, you could see the bearing itself dont want to slates josh work just because of the things happening, some of his parts looked awesome, and competition is always evolution. i am just really really surprised what comes to the surface at the moment, its weird, even i thought his frames were good, and i am a big fan of marinos parts normally
  9. argh, britains! again. btw, what´s happened to your 100+ frame dez? just curious
  10. ah okay, not enough penetration then, its just "sticking",as we say here
  11. i´m happy.doesnt matter,why.just happy
  12. you really should start to think over your signature, mikey. what leigh meant is that a cracked seattube can cause the frame to suddenly collapse,a simple crack in the gusset would need a while to kill it
  13. dont you have to grind all the welds down to do this? i mean its totally overcooked, this frame consists of HAZ
  14. some are surely expecting a comment from me regarding that welds, but i´ll just say thats completely unexpected, that says it best...
  15. it was a triboulat vid,and it looked fun. now i´m ready to die
  16. i also have one.has also to do with ghostrider.haha just going OT for one second, despite the toping being useless anyway, and say you have to read this thread http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/f9/onza-ska-2013-newb-50229/ giannib is ghostrider88 in person i almost coughed my coffee over my notebook while reading this hahaha edit:the real fun starts at post 20
  17. for brazing you could use nearly every steel exept stainless, that needs special acid treatment before it works, and its brazed with silver filler then(damn expensive stuff)
  18. ja,aber nicht sehr gut, eher mittelmäßig
  19. you could just use welded hi-ten tubes like marino did at the beginning, its higher in weight but strong. here its also named ST37,dunno whats it called in english
  20. i think someone has a warning point... and the winner is... now that was legit, isitafox.smelled like someone who wants to gain some $$$
  21. on my phone its vol-,could that be different for different models/makes?
