  1. You don't cycle on pavements? A grind just doesn't compare to a smooth rim they for non street riding are just better in every aspect. Personally I'd pick rock pads or ADMs . I've never done well with heatsinks: I used them on 3 different wheel sizes , four different rims , different set ups , grinds and without. None worked as well as my LGMs with a good grind.
  2. Hey clerictgm, why do you feel the need to be a dick on here to every style other than yours on here? We ride bikes without seat hopping onto walls and rocks. You can't get up on your high horse. Do you even know how most people in the public and biking world think of trials riding? They think we're a bunch of twats. Is that hypocrisy I smell?
  3. Sorry but I laughed so much watching this at the voice in the background that goes "awneeeeeeeeuuuw" I don't even know why. Sounds like an Aberdeen fan getting friendly with a sheep Looks painful though
  4. My friend took a bike to a local shop for the to helicoil the mounts. The guy there instead of loosening the booster and taking it off , what did he do? HE GRINDED THE BLOODY THING OFF! Different shop , I bought a mtb just for cycling around and the off bit of offroad , they had messed up the alignment building it s the chain kept getting twisted and caught on itself I took it to them many they lectured me for twenty minutes saying it had been "abused" and claiming the rims were bent and the forks were bent too. I doubt it unless they were made of cheese as I'd had it a day and cycled it 5 miles on pavement ... Ed
  5. If only I was going off this definition http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=platonic%20relationship had that same scenario too...
  6. A close friend of mine has a willy of a boyfriend who hates my guts and acts like he owns her and tells me I can't talk to her ( although it is a purely platonic relationship ) and says he doesn't like that we are close.
  7. Bought a BB7 ...forgot the cable :$ Oh yeah and everything with a cable I touch becomes cursed
  8. WD40 isn't silicone based so it can mess with seals on brakes and stuff like that and will contaminate brake pads but as there is no rubber seals in a freewheel I can't see the problem to be honest
  9. What if you're running a sloping top cap stem? I assumed it would still work but don't want to waste £120 on forks and £40 on a stem..
  10. Well normally you see people who ride pretty big but their style is awful and it's not nice to watch whereas it's great watching your videos because although you don't do massive stuff you make it look really good and smooth , it's really refreshing from the normal.
  11. I couldn't do it either , found it impossible but I kept trying at a small height and build it up to where I was and in a week after changing I could sidehop 3" higher and improved a lot with pretty much everything. You're just really smooth riding it's really great , one of the only non massive riders whose videos I can watch all the way through!
  12. Dude the edit was great! What TGS should be , atleast for the powerhouses. More videos need rock/punk/metal and less of the techno stuff
  13. Can't ride for a week , guess I'll be building the park up a bit more

  14. I'm 14 , 5'8 and 147 pounds. I work out a fair bit and in my opinion am in pretty decent shape. I have a spare frame lying around I want to experiment with , my normal ride is 10.5Kg.
  15. So this piece of metal , the rear part of the bash plate mount shown here http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/20_inch_frames/echo_lite_2011_with_bb/c36p11474.html Just wondering if this will weaken the frame considerably , I would guess it would make it a bit more flexy?
  16. Think he'll give me an autograph? I'm a big fan (A)
  17. I didn't know who Nick Manning was so I googled the name... I take it you're not the american pornstar that came up?
  18. Chamfer them (A) Trialtechs in a TNN backing is an awesome combination!
  19. I tried it withs few pads I found that the hold would increase until a point at which there wasn't enough friction for the brake to bite properly. I found on my setup it made it work much much better. Hope that helps Already using hope pads and had that rotor to until I bent it. I just prefer the way an avid feels on the front and I've had nothing but problems with echo brake and this one seeps at the calliper so it contaminates itself.
  20. Well my theory was that there would be more pressure in less space and give better hold , the brake seem much much more consistent through the grind , gives great bite and hold and works perfectly in the wet, as good as most pads in the dry!
  21. Got the forks this february and the spokes are all pretty tight , none stupidly loose or much looser than the others.
  22. Thanks man Working pretty good , very stable , reasonable grip in the dry , very good grip in the wet for street riding. Not had too much of a chance to try it out on natural yet, very good puncture resistance too!
  23. Guy from my city snapped his zoot , got a pro ( I think for free) and snapped that in a month or so also , might not have been that quick but it was a surprisingly short lifespan.
  24. I don't think that's it I used to get tht on my hope and it was a clanking noise this is slightly similar but I don't think that's it as the pads backing is sanded and used them before with no problems Yup done that and regreased everything too. I have a feeling it might be to do with the forks themselves or the hub/spokes
