  1. I'm running a rear 2.5 Maxxis Highroller DH with a Maxxis DH tube and a DMR Moto Digger on the front with a Kenda unboxed , I've had very little problems with either tyre and both are very grippy , rode them in near torrential rain the other week and they never slipped once on some pretty sketchy lines that my tryalls haven't gripped on. I've noticed than on the very edge of the Highroller tyre is bit slippy unless you get a lot of material on but I'm sure a stanley knife would fix that. I don't really find the weight noticeable but as I used kinetics before them that might be why , puncture resistance seems very good but then I am running a tube that's about 300g grams more than a standard tube.
  2. Echo 24" is a TGS orientated frame , feels pretty good on natural too. Good for pogo sticking , bad for spins and street riding. Fourplay is a street orientated frame , rides great for street. Not very good for TGS. Very different frames in terms of geo and style but both are very good strong frames.
  3. Admitedly I haven't been on the forum nearly as long as you but from my time on here I never have seen any. On topic though I loved the video , as he's done what the title says and got creative
  4. Agree with the point on the bars my riding is miles smoother running rage bars than when I used Echo's , for loosening up how about doing stuff like stretches and working on flexibility , I do remember hearing somebody say that a few comp riders do not quite yoga but similar to get more flexible , just a thought.
  5. Dude you seem to have some massive chip on you're shoulder about TGS riding , you're constantly complaining about it or making remarks in nearly every thread I see you've posted in , give it a rest. A large portion of the people on here ride TGS and none of them go around saying shit about street. Side note too , TGS frames aren't "stick frames" as you call them that would be a "comp frame" if you're going to start saying only certain frames can ride certain styles , I've seen more comp riders with higher stems than on bikes ran by people who purely ride tgs. We ride bikes for fun jumping over and onto stuff , it's a hobby we do for fun ,stop bitching and just ride.
  6. They like every onza rim I've encountered cant hold a grind for more than a few days and have very temperamental performance
  7. Aw yeah , should have realised since there disk :$ Saw the bike in the flesh a few months ago in highland , looks even better in person!
  8. I'd just like to say here and this is no insult to you but any how: Before I bought my first double disk bike I was told things like " they are more reliable than magura's" and that they " worked better in the wet and for natural/comp riding". I have concluded that isn't quite true. As they contaminate so easily (depends on pad) that I couldn't ride in the wet because oil off the roads and pavements would get all over the brake. And I even had it a few times riding natural where there was water. My own opinion but I do not like rear disk. I've had an Echo rim for over 14 months , I am a pretty rough rider who runs relatively low psi. The rim has been grinded 25+ times. Any decent rim will be bashed to death long before it is worn out from grinding
  9. I meant the forks , not a very good multi tasker haha
  10. 24" trialtechs? Might be getting myself a pair of them!
  11. I personally don't enjoy comp style riding since as soon as tape goes down my riding goes to crap , I don't really find it boring as I'm not really mad on rocks and natural. For me anyway TGS is about going big and power moves and getting personal bests and pushing myself to get new heights , whereas to me comp and natural riding is more about being smooth and a more methodical , analytical approach to trials. I think it's just a mindset sort of thing and how you look/ think about things. Others may not agree but that's how I see it
  12. Random picture of frame.... Anyway I've just stripped my echo the other day just from having a very tempermental clamp set up that the slaves move in unless being extremely tight , and echo don't really have the best threads I've come across
  13. I have one on my bike? Are you talking about the 42a sticky version?
  14. I've been switching between TNN booster and none with a 05 body , 4 finger lever , hs yellows and a tr rim and the brake works great with both. it's annoying how much stiffer the 24 is than the 20.
  15. I'd pick something without computer generated noises? My own opinion but I can't stand 'techno'.
  16. Just got it out doing that but with pliers, scratched the hub to hell haha cheers man
  17. I'm on my phone so I can't really see much , what do I do? Thanks
  18. Right so I feel like a bit of an idiot right now but I need to remove my front wheel but when i can take off one bolt or loosen it but when I get found to the other side when I try and remove it , the by on the other side is screwed in/out. I'be never had this before in 4 years of riding , any help?
  19. Worst tyres ever. You'd be better off using just bare tubes to be honest , have barely any grip , slip like mad on every surface and the slightest bit of moisture will make it feel like your on an ice rink , awful bounce and I had about 6 pinch flats in about a week with a kenda dh tube ... that's pretty hard. Maxxis all the way
  20. Try using a stanley or modeling knife to cut off every second nob and smooth it down with a file , can even make the tyre more grippy and bouncy:)
  21. Just got all the parts for this and finished bulding this up , loving it so far Built up from Trialtech , Echo and Tryall parts , the orange is going to be stripped soon and replaced by lime green colour , the stem will be polished up a but more too
