  1. Hello. First of all I think the person trying to sell an onza comp for 899 is a bit off his nut as you can buy a new one for 600 off tartybikes... And as I used to ride mod (20") and currently riding stock (26") I can tell you they are quite far apart handling wise. I personaly find the stock easier to ride but since you used to ride BMX maybe you should look for a 24" street bike, such as an inspired or onza zoot, cause they are like a hybrid of both sports and also you should try them out if you can before you decide. That site doesnt seem to cover the specs very well but I think the adamant looks like the better of the 2. You should wait for some of the more seasoned riders to reply though as I am fairly new myself! Anyways good choice of sport man trials is so much fun. Oh and this video might help you decide: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/media/guides/product_guide_20_inch_vs_24_inch_vs_26_inch_wheels/m8.html
  2. Hello everybody. I have 2 mods laying around and I dont think I'm going to use them again so i was thinking of selling them. Put an add in on a site called "Blocket" it's a swedish site and i nobody wanted them so I thought I would see if there is any interest on here. The thing is after a quick search I havent found any shipping prices from sweden to england.. FedEx doesnt even have england as an option.. But if anybody is interested I have an onza blade 2010 and onza ska 2011 (green and red). The ska is as it came and the blade has got a trialtech 108 freewheel, trialtech race pedals and new pads (no grind on the rim on either) I also have a tensile 60 click freewheel, a couple of 19" tyres and a bunch of 20" tubes but i was thinking of maybe giving them away if the other person pays for the shipping. So if you're interested let me know on here and I will look into the shipping! Oh and i will add more pics when i can (tomorrow?) Thanks for reading and sorry if I placed this in the wrong section.

    No Frills

    Verry nice riding man!
  4. Okay so earlier today I was out riding and found a couple of large tyres and though they looked like something I could hook. Not having tried a hook before I thought it would be a good idea to put a pallet infront (later removed it and found it easier without). It was about chin hight and it took me a while to build up enough currage to try it. Anyways have a look and see if you can give me any hints on how to improve. Pardon the crap quality.. Thanks a lot! Kevin
  5. Thanks for the replys, everybody. So after talking to my local place I was told their supplier wouldnt get any more saints untill mid February 2013.... That means it is now down to Hope or rim brakes, and it looks like you all prefer Hopes but just to clarify you should know I have a stock and I read rim brakes are more suited for a stock. If I do go for the Hopes, which one should i get? Whats the difference? Thanks a lot. Kevin
  6. Thanks for your reply, hypermobilty! Anybody else have an oppinion? Maybe somebody went from disc to rim brake and could share what that was like? I'm not blessed with having other people riding trials anywhere near so i cant really try different set ups. Kevin
  7. Hello everyone! I'm sorry if this has been asked before! So I still havent decided what kind of brake i should get.. I curently have the Echo TR disc with a 180 Echo rotor and it's just not strong enough for my liking! So what would you do, get a new set of brake pads and see if they help (if anybody has tried this please let me know how it worked, I dont want to wait a week for the pads and then find out they didnt do the trick and have to place another order..) Or should Iget a better disc brake (I'm thinking saints or hopes) but if you know of anything better please say so! Money is not really a problem.. Or should I just get a front rim brake, I have an Echo TR rim brake on the rear and I like it a lot, but once again if you know of anything better please let me know! Oh and I prefer to ride TGS. Also if possible, i would really prefer stuff that Tartybikes have in stock, cause I like their service and it's faster to order stuff from tarty than to order them from mainland sweden! Thanks for reading! Kevin
  8. I like the Echo platforms, nice and big with plenty of grip! They are really sharp though (like the body is sharp, not like old trialtech race ones..) and for some reason my pins keep falling off but thats probably down to my riding.. All in all i higly recomend them! Kevin
  9. Really nice riding and awesome course! I would really love to have something like that.. Kevin.
  10. I have one and had it since May this year and it's still in good shape even though I am hardly a smooth rider. It was my first higher end (is it?) frame and one big thing I noticed when I compare it to my old Onza Blade 2010 is the stiffness. If you hit it lightly with a tool it resonates in a really nice way but that might just be me being weird for finding that cool haha. The only thing I've noticed is the drop outs on the right side (I ride left foot forward) are taking a beating and it can be tricky to get the wheel off. I'm sure this happens to a lot of frames but I never had that issue with my Onza Blade 2010. But all you have to do is bend them back or just take the bolts holding the wheel on out completely. Anyways it's a great frame / bike and I recomend it. Pardon any spelling oopsies.... Kevin.
  11. Hello everyone. I was thinking of getting a front rim brake setup and i noticed the urbans have the mounts on the front of the legs and the trialtech ones are mounted on the back. Is there any pros or cons to either one? Thanks a lot. Kevin.
  12. You should really get a dual ply tyre if you are getting a lot of snake bites. I have been using a maxxis high roller for a while now and not a single puncture! I'm running really low tyre preasure (not sure how much as I dont have a fancy pump) but if i press hard enough i can almost feel the rim.
  13. Hello everyone. I need new brake pads. So I went on tartybikes and saw they got a new brand of Ti stuff and that got me thinking, how much does the weight actually impact on how the bike handles? Is it worth changing some minor stuff like bb, sprocket, bashring, freewheel and pedal axles to Ti? Does the lower weight mean you can jump higher? I'm a begginer but I can jump pretty high (if you ask me) maybe 1.2m or so, I havent really checked but just going by eye. Oh and any carbon parts is probably a no go as I am hardly what you would call smooth on the landings haha! Thanks for reading. Kevin
  14. Are those the Rockman Green pads? Kevin.
  15. Thanks guys you are all very helpful! I will try to get a vid up soon so you guys can see what kind of level i am on, which should make it easeir to give pointers for future stupid questions haha! Thanks and good night everybody! Kevin
  16. Thanks for your quick reply! Good point. I guess there's no harm in going for both but i just thought it would be quicker to focus on one hah! Any pointers on how to go about learning either of them? Thanks Kevin Edited spelling... Too late to be speaking english hah
  17. Hello guys! So after watching a lot of vids of this Borisevich Pavel guy i got really inspired to try and learn some of the, what i would call, more advanced moves such as up to front and hooks. Which one do you guys suggest i should start with? Sorry if this is a stupid question and a pointless thread but i thought since im not riding right now i might aswell get some input before i go out there and break myself or the bike trying to go about things the wrong order hah! Thanks a lot. Kevin
  18. Thanks williams! I live on / in gotland drop me a line on here if youre coming over hah:)
  19. Thanks! Its the neon pads made for smooth rims but my grind is getting dull and i havent gotten around to re grinding. As for trials in sweden im not sure, i live on an island where its just me and one other guy with an inspired but i have a few friends who ride dirt and a bit of street but for most of the time i ride alone
  20. Hello everybody! Since im new here i thought an introduction was in order. My name is Kevin Fordal, I'm 20 and i live in sweden. I'm pretty new to trials but i have been riding bikes for a while now and also a bit of motor trials just for fun. As i said I'm new but i have already gone trough 2 bikes and working on the 3rd hah. This is what im riding now, a 2012 ZOO! Piranha, pretty much stock only added grips, the downtube thing and a maxxis highroller dual ply (hope i can get the img thingy right) Thanks for reading and i hope i will be able to contribute to comunity!
  21. i went from a mod to stock and i find the stock much easier and more fun, might just be me getting more confident though dunno
