  1. Could you try to be more specific? Describe the pain. The shoulder is a ball join that sits in a rotator cup and if you have a muscle imbalance, that can pull the ball more towards one side which will cause you pain! Since we're talking about riding trials here, I guess its the front of your shoulders or maybe even the pec minor thats tensing up. So try this: When you are sitting down with your back straight, try pushing your shoulder back a bit with one hand, dont go mad on it just push it back enough so you can have the palm of your hand on the collar bone and your fingertips on the shoulder and then try to move that arm around while still keeping preasure on the shoulder. If that feels better then what you need to do is stretch the front of your shoulder and pec minor (this is an easy stretch, just find a wall and put your arm against it and then move the out side leg forward and try to lean forward) EDIT! Acidentaly posted hah! After you have stretched you should try to build up the back of your shoulders, if you have acces to a gym this is best done by doing any kind of rows, if you do not have acceses to a gym you should do one arm rows, an exercice where you lean forward and place your left hand and knee on a bench or even a bed, and with your right hand you pull a heavy weight up so you can touch your chest with it. Hope that does the trick! Kevin.
  2. I like the look of these bikes! Almost makes me regret getting a zoo haha (no I dont want to swap)
  3. I get them all the time! I had one when I was driving home just last night.
  4. Some massive sidehops in this as well:
  5. Maybe this: Not sure it counts since its just over a bar?
  6. Looks good altough I think the fork is an echo sl not urban
  7. Hello! I just noticed tartybikes got some new TNN forks and I just wanted to see what we think about them compared to the trialtech ones?
  8. I dont know about the star nut but when it comes to cutting why not just put the stem on the fork (set up straight obviously no going back when you start cutting) and just take a pen or a nail and make a mark all around the tube.
  9. I failed! Still I got 10 not too bad for someone who's only spent one night in the uk
  10. The 4 strokes are usually more "calm" they dont sound as high pitch as a 2 stroke and have lower revs on idle. Check out some vids with toni bou (usually 4 stroke) and adam raga (usually 2 stroke) then you can hear the difference. EDIT! forgot 2 strokes usually have an expansion chamber on the exhaust so they look different.
  11. If you want a stock then this: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/26_inch_frames/crewkerz_freed_26_inch/c14p12025.html is close with 1055.
  12. Some explosive squats should help you jump higher (in theory?) And any explosive calf exercises could also help.
  13. I think you need a longer hose...
  14. I was thinking more in terms of correct form for certain exercises but i know what you mean and I agree completely!
  15. Good idea man! I am not a health and fitness expert in any way but I do know that one way to lose weight is to constantly move like when your on the phone just walk around, forget about 15 - 20 min on a treadmill (that obviously helps but is not enough if that is all you do in a day) As others have mentioned already you have to drink water and lots of it (added bonus is your skin will look healthier) try to avoid sugar as much as possible (that includes lactose and even fruits) And if you want to gain some muscle you should try to eat a lot of turkey, chicken and eggs as they are verry high in protein and low in fat. If you want vids I would highly recomend this channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/strengthcamp And also start going to the gym but dont be affraid to ask the people in there for help and pointers. Good luck man! Kevin.
  16. I'm sorry to hijack this thread but I didnt think it would be worth starting another one. I just wanted to check which saint you guys are talking about? Do you mean the ones tartybikes sell (M820) or are they no good? Also do you think a 184 mm rotor would fit even if the caliper is for 180mm? Kevin.
  17. I always wear these when I ride No idea what they are called but they are flat and pretty light. Kevin.
  18. Thanks a lot for all your replies guys! Rubber queen seems to be the one to go for but just to clarify, does it matter if its this: http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/26_inch_tyres/continental_rubber_queen/c33p10725.html or http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/26_inch_tyres/continental_rubber_queen_ust/c33p11550.html ? Thanks a lot! Kevin
  19. Hey guys! So ever since I got my zoo I've had a maxxis hi roller (2.35) on the rear and i like it its a nice tyre. But last night I moved back to the kenda kinetic that the bike came with for no real reason just thought I'd wear that one down a bit and it feels like i can go bigger with the kenda than with the maxxis, as in longer gaps and higher sidehops, which I like. So basicaly what I wanted to ask is there any tyre thats got even better bounce? Not too bothered about price or weight but the frame seems to be quite narrow at the bb yoke thingy so I only have about 4 or 5 mm per side with the kenda tyre so no uber massive tyres please. Oh and are the tubes marked as "downhill" or "freeride" bigger as in volume than the crap I can get at my local sports store? Thanks a lot! Kevin
  20. I've broken my fingers a few times while riding trials.. I usually do it when I'm riding natural cause there's rocks and stuff on the ground where you put your hands if you fall. Other than that my shins are more scar than "normal" skin now, even have 3 scars from seperate ocations that look like a smiley if you look closely.
  21. That guy looks just like me! At least as far as I can tell from the pics! Nice pics too is he riding on top of the thing or is he in the air?
  22. Hey man and welcome! Sorry to hear what happened to you knee:( But good to see you getting back into it. I myself keep breaking my right middle finger, broke it today for the third time this year... Its all part of the fun though! I wish i could ride with you and everyone else on here but sadly im stuck in sweden haha. I'm sure you can find someone here to help you out! Kevin.
  23. Looks like a nice place to ride. Unlucky though, you should try an Echo SL. Mine has never skipped! Even my old Tensile 60 click skipped a few times and from what I can tell you guys seem to like it? Good luck in the future! Kevin.
  24. First of all, you could still ride an inspired on natural stuff, and you can do most of the things Danny does on a mod. Altough neither will be as good as the "proper" bike for that style. Weight wise it depends on how much your bike weigh now, a fourplay only weigh around 11 kg which is close to a low level mod. Wait for more replys though I am fairly new to trails. Good luck! Kevin.
