  1. They are ISIS so i have no tapers, but still there are absolutely no signs of wear - lovely middleburns. I did think about the pedals so i took them apart put new bearings in both pedals and tightened them right up but the problem is still there. I did take the BB fully out on the time before last but now its so damn tight i cant actually get it out :$
  2. Howdy to all. My bottom bracket keeps creaking and i dont know what the hell to do about it. Firstly i had a truvativ isis BB in there and it kept creaking but after tightening it up it would go away for about a week then come back again. So i threw that BB out and bought a Try-All one and this one is doing exactly the same thing, i tighten it up then a week later its creaking again!!! RARGH! Its not coming loose at all because its now gotten to the point where it wont tighten up anymore but its still creaking, what do i do?!
  3. Just for the people who may not have fixed the problem yet: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=en download the program from the above link "windows journal viewer" and all should work fine and dandy
  4. howdy, im just wondering do you have your heart particularly set on a 306? If not have you thought about the renault megane? I bought the coupe as my first car and i loved it to bits, quick, good size, convenient, incredibally good fuel consumption just a great car. For £1300 you could get a nice coupe - if you like them and they are really nice cars to drive mate with the added bonus of proper cheap insurance even on a 1.6 engine, meaning you can beat most of you mates in their cars Alternatively i found this little bargain As you can see its an R reg (1997/8) a 1.6 8v engine - quick but good fuel use and cheap insurance with only 76 thousand miles on the clock, how much you ask? £975...................... need i say more ?
  5. Im just wondering what the absolute hell are you doing at home on your computer?! Your about to be 20 mate! You should at least be out somewhere crawling on the floor in an intoxicated mess.
  6. Ok so i would like to know where you get this information from? Have you actually personally tried any of these solutions or just going by internet pages and people's opinions? because i have actually tried and tested it all and have the results. If power caps were no good, why would they make them?! Its simple really, they make them because they do work.
  7. Im afraid to tell you mate that your not quite right there. I understand where you coming from that its an equal mass of power in RMS watts but you have to bear in mind the amount of amps that would be drawn from the battery. Im not talking about volts its the ampere drawage from the battery which would kill it. You can either be drawing out maybe 20 or 40 amps from one amplifier or you can double that by having two amplifiers. And power caps are NOT a waste of money and i dont know how you could possibly say they are, they hold power for mass drains on the battery. You try driving down the road at night with your music blaring subs banging and whats happening ? Lights on the stereo, dashboard and headlights are dimming not to mention maybe having the heating on too - you not just draining the hell out of the battery but also the alternator. Wack a power cap on there and voila all them problems disappear......... and you tell me they are a waste of money?! ha ha ha ok. Why go through the hassle of wiring a second battery or upgrading the alternator when £40 for a capcitor will do the same!
  8. as said by george you really dont need two pre-outs from the headunit if you purchase two of these then you shall be fine for splitting the output which in turn can go into two seperate amps. However two amps is a huuuuuge drain on battery resources. I would recommend either 1 decent amp powerful enough for the lot or buy a power capacitor which are about £40 from ebay. I would definately recommend this amp if you want some power though. http://thebassbin.co.uk/shop/product/products_id/1303.html Understandably this is only a pro plus amp but its what i have in my car. Its capable of so much its unbelievable. I was running a pair of Vibe QB69's and a 1400 watt Sony 15" sub from it with no problems at all. It has great functions including a 3D surround setting which sounds great and the added bonus of a remote control for the amp which can be tucked into the sun visor. Giving you full control over the volume, bass and treble settings everything, without having to open the boot
  9. unless its "blowing" as in making a wierd noise its not really anything to worry about. You have the indepth explanations from other members on here but seriously they are bugger all to worry about. If in fact after a test it does seem broken up screw replacing the bugger. Get a de-cat pipe made up, it will give you car a nice little roar sound and release a little bit more power not to mention it being a shit load cheaper.
  10. i cant download this for some reason? dunno whats going on but it says the site may have been suspended
  11. cheers for the reply mate, i tried them in the .jar file as well but it seems to get half way through loading and just seems to stop and do nothing. I read on the net about using "Midway 2.8" to upload the games to the phone, problem is that this involves a COMM port and seeing as im using a card reader instead of a cable it doesnt work
  12. Howdy to all.... I have a nokia 6234 and have downloaded a game for it from the net. Now i dont believe that the phone will open it in the RAR format it has come in. Basically i want to transfer the game to the phone but only have a memory card slot for it (no cable, bluetooth etc.) However the phone will not open a RAR file and i really dont know what format it has to be in, or if there are in fact any guidelines i need to follow in order for it to work. If you could help it would be greatly appreciated, stu
  13. Go to illegal raves! They take over the weekend and trust me once you have partied for about 20 hours continuously you really feel like you have achieved something, its great fun. The thing is that it makes you realise what society is all about when you come back. None of this pussy clubber lifestyle going home at 2am! Christ that's when the parties are just starting. I find just these on there own give me the motiviation i need and something to always look forward to each and every weekend
  14. Oh dear oh dear. Well i was judging by your msn name that you were the driver, at least your car isnt written off! Hope you get better soon mate, i'll give you a race when my cars fixed Take care mate, stu
  15. all this HD stuff is crazy you know. They are releasing HD tv's like they are the dogs nuts and charging ridiculous amounts of money for them. So Mr. Rich goes off to buy one and thinks........ hang on the picture isnt any better than before. Well how can you present HD tv when Sky itself isnt in HD, neither is normal television, and the capability of many things that produce images will not give HD. In my opinion its an absolutely pointless release until things like terrestial tv or Sky go into HD.
  16. And im guessing you must be the guy i met when i was riding the other weekend with my mate daryl ? Hoping i can get us up there for the next weekend to come, it's lovely up there, no chavs, beautiful scenery and seaside with some good stuff to ride, excellent.
  17. I had to install this software because it comes with the driver for an MP3 player i got. I uninstalled it because its utterly crap and i prefer media player but now i cant listen to streams! It tries to open them in musicmatch jukebox and the program isnt there. So anybody know how i can change the setting back so media player is the default player for streams ? cheers, stu
  18. Yeah, the printer works, mouse, keyboard, web-cam, external HDD and broadband modem.
  19. see i thought exactly that same thing, naturally you would believe it to make things easier. BUT no, the Zen Nano Plus is meant to install as a removable storage device without any drivers on XP but as you may well be able to guess, it didnt
  20. Done all this as well and it still didnt help. You see this is why im so damn confused, i know a fair chunk about computers and have tried every thing i could possibly think of and it still hasnt worked.
  21. yeah im running it through the USB 2.0 port, either way it doesnt really matter because if it was only a 1.1 port then the player would drop to a 1.1 speed (same in all cases), cheers though.
  22. Hi to all, im having some problems lately regarding MP3 players and my computer and im starting to think it cant just be the MP3 players. Firstly a Philips PSS110 would not connect to my computer, after taking it back i ended up with a Zen Nano Plus, which yet again would not be at all recognised by my computer. Naturally i dont want a product i cannot use so i took this back and now have the Sony NW E300 and once more i have the same problem, coincidence ? The sony has given me the most signs of life regarding connection. I have installed all the software that came with the MP3 player from the original disc. Yet when i plug it in i get the new hardware wizard popup (windows xp) i let it search for the drivers to automatically install and it does. Then it gives me an error saying that "A service installation secition in this INF is invalid" - This to me says that some data may be missing from the disc. So i have downloaded all the software again from the sony website and i still have the same problem. If somebody could please shed some light on this i would greatly appreciate it. Stu.
  23. You may already have the program I know on some computers the chipset audio drivers includes an Avance Sound Manager program called AvRack. To check if you have it just go to start > all programs and look for 'Avance Sound Manager' If you happen to have it then you can use this little program to do all your recording needs, its pretty quick, reliable and good quality. stu
  24. where's you sense of humour gone people, i know its a little on the early side of a thursday but still
