  1. personally i think creatine is bollox, its apparently meant to draw water into the muscles which increases their mass. It's not for strength or stamina its purely for mass so you basically look nice and bulky. The problem is getting water retention in the muscles if you dont actually work them really hard til they burn sort of thing. I took creatine for 6 months and it didn't do shit except give me about an extra hours energy a day. If you want mass, strength and stamina get hold of some anabolic steroids not the injection sort the tablet form. Take them for a month then have a months break when you hit two years stop for 6 months or it can cause kidney damage. stu :-
  2. theres loads of fun to be had with school networks the thing is that the administrators at the schools dont keep up with new tools and vulnerabilities as well as we manage to. Our old school server had net support on it and with that you could fully take control of anyones elses computer in the building then turn their monitors off so they can't see what your doing  oh i miss school (Y) stu
  3. im just going to say something in the fujifilm finepix range. There are some quality cameras out by this company with fool proof usability. What model is up to you because of features where it may or may not include sound recording and different pixel rates etc. I've had a finepix for a while now and a lot of mates have pretty good quality and last long. stu ;)
  4. I can agree with the remark on the 6x9's yes some of them do sound pretty crap, but these speakers are a cut above the rest, they produce excellent quality top and mid range while the woofers at the bottom produce a sound like that of a sub! I know these speakers have the capability of sounding awesome because i have heard them set up in a mates car they are truely amazing, but you definately need and amp to run them they distort headunits quite easily. I have components for the front and that adds the clarity i need i just need to build the pressure up a bit better in the boot. cheers for the help so far.
  5. Hmm nearly the cost of the damn speakers!!! I think i might make my own i need to make sure the shelf is strong because just one of the speakers weighs about the same amount as a usual pair of 6x9's cheers for the help, stu (Y)
  6. Howdy all i have a renault megane coupe, now as we all know the French seem to have some problems when it comes to building cars but hell they have made it awkward for people who actually want to listen to quality beyond the bog standard of audio. The rear shelf is made of crappy thin metal which i have managed to chop into a nice 6 x 9 rectangular shape for my new Vibe QB69's to go in. Now this metal shelf has different levels across it little cut outs here and everywhere and is generally piss poor. On top of that there is another flimsy carpet type shelf that pops over the top of the metal shelf to cover it all and make it look neat. My speakers sound pretty awful in there at the moment, im fully aware of how to set them up and the likes but i know they could do with better mounting. Has anybody got any ideas of producing some better mounting for them? So far my best idea is to cut out some MDF to exactly the shape of the metal shelf fix it down to the metal shelf with vibration protection inbetween then cut out the speakers shape in the MDF so the speakers should be able to sit in there respectively. I need some way that they are getting the pressure they need i would rather not build boxes underneath them but i could at a last resort. If anybody has seen how this has been done before or has some helpful ideas i would really like to hear them. Thanks in advance, stu (Y)
  7. search the net for something called HTTP tunnel i used this before its pretty good and reliable a little awkward to set up though so take your time. stu ;)
  8. I know EXACTLY what you mean mate. I happened to be going out with a girl called Steph and she supported me in my riding so much. It was her that managed to inspire me and the likes of Scott@eastcoasttrials.com and Jimbo Limbo and Plainlazy84 will agree that i did have an absolutely crazee day in norwich 2 summers ago when i rinsed everything that had previously scared the pants off me. Its crazy what love can do, just dont break up because like me you riding may well take a big tumble! stu :ermm:
  9. I have been running water bled maguras since i started trials about 5 years ago now and never had a problem at all. Try and get the "battery top up water" from halfords which is about a quid for a litre of it dont be fooled by the name its actually just distilled water but done properly. I cant see how any of the brake would corrode as far as i last knew you would need air and water to make some corrosion and i like to think my brakes have been bled without the additive of air in them. If you cant get to halfords boil some water in a kettle and let it go nearly cold before putting it in. First time users would need to bleed the brake through with water once, ride a little and may well notice the brake go all sticky and crappy, just re-bleed it again and you will notice more horrible black looking oil coming out then it should all be fine. Never had any problems they work brilliant more responsive, better pad movement and easier to pull which is the main thing. stu
  10. every one of our new computers in the office at work has the Gigabyte motherboards. They are pretty good nice and fast reliable and do the job well. The onboard graphics though i really really dont like at all. Everytime i was watching a trials video or something it would make the computer pause all the time. Shortly after moaning about it i got a 128mb GeForce MX4 graphics card put in and now everything is running peachy. Cant beat them really for the price range. Stu :turned:
  11. Thats exactly what happened to me!!! its really really embarassing aint it mate! Mine went to the size of bloody water mellons and made me feel sick. Having a male doctor fondling around with your balls isnt the nicest of things but whats even harder is that no matter who it is or what they look like when someone starts playing with you balls it does feel nice and oh the crazy thoughts i had to put into my head to make sure i kept myself down (if you know what i mean) Another very embarassing note, i was riding in norwich before with the likes of jimbo limbo and scott@eastcoasttrials.com and my hope hub fell apart when i took the wheel out to fix a puncture, the pawls and springs shot through this big gate, this gate was huuuuuge so i climbed over it. Found the pawls and springs and attempted hopping back over the gate, at the top of this gate were like spikey top pieces as i tried to suicide jump over the gate my trousers ripped to pieces so there was me walking down the road with my bike that i hadnt managed to fix because the tube was screwed, no shops were open and i had gaffa tape holding my trousers together, using the grease that was on my hands i managed to write TWAT across the front of my t-shirt just to make more of an embarrassment of myself!! the things we do huh?
  12. it wasnt from a garage, it was from someone of different ethnic origin in Manchester, i really shouldnt of just said that should i? As far as im concerned private bought means no warranty. b*****d thing, i think i might just get the thing fixed then go with the civic coupe like i was first planning to do, good for nothing pieces of shit. word of the parents "any second hand car you treat like that will break" so i say "yeah i agree but not after 6 f**king days and at only 65,000 miles on the clock!!!" Word of advice to people who may read in on this, Japanese cars are built the best and will last anything else <_< stu
  13. well ive had the car the whole of a week now and it lasted me 6 days on the road before dying horribly. I was in second and the car in front (not a toyota) was turning left i was in second gear at this point and was near stalling it and i couldnt be assed to ride the clutch out so i thought hey 1st gear is there in we go, the car started to pull me and as it got to about 3,000 revs it just went right up in the revs. Hmmm maybe it slipped outta gear or something? so naturally i tried second, third, fourth nothing i wasnt going anywhere and rolled to a stop outside some random persons house. Luckily i was only about 5 mins from my house but still i have a dead car after less than a weeks purchase. Now sit you ass in the driving seat with the engine running dont touch any pedals and try and push it into gear, you would get a horrible grinding noise right? NOPE, oh dear! You can select a gear without the use of the clutch and put you foot down on the accelerator and the speedo will move up, indicating to me that the clutch has initiliazed the gearbox because the clutch linkage is intact and the speedo is in the gearbox. Now if the car is in gear and the wheels are off the floor as you spin one wheel the diff should cause the other wheel to spin in an opposite direction right? NOPE. So what can it be, the circlip inside the gearbox which holds the selector? apparently dumping the clutch can cause it to shatter, would it be the spline on the end of the offside half shaft? or even the clutch being stuck in the 'on' position making the car think its constantly in neutral?! Well renault the helpful bastards reckon that its the clutch and want to charge me £570 for the fitment of a new one!!! any ideas from anybody? stu <_<
  14. i went with Swinton for my renault megane coupe its a 1.6 so most insurance companies wanted to slaughter me for it because its my first car but with swinton they asked if i had taken my pass plus course, i said no and they asked me if i was planning on taking it, and i was, so i said yes. In that case we can lower your insurance premium by £500 if you take your pass plus course within the next 60 days they replied. So hell yeah i thought and took out the policy, £75,000 worth of legal protection, courtesy car and third party fire and theft cover. Not bad for £1380 - why i thought this was good is because it gives you some time to get used to you car, get on the road quickly and save enough money over the course of 60 days to take the pass plus course. Dont go by exactly what an online quote says if you phone them you have someone you can haggle the price with and computer quotes normally miss out some minor detail which can change a lot on your premium. stu :P
  15. ok so who has some weights here? you know just some relatively small ones like dumbells or something. Say you can do 40-50 push ups with your hands on the floor and it hurts after a while if you put the weights on the floor and put your hands on them to push up you could probably only do about half the amount because your body drops lower than usual and makes it much harder to push back up. so you put weights on the floor like thats how you have the weights on the floor, then place your hands over the part you would normally grip to weight lift and start doing push ups. its aches much more than the regular way (Y) stu (Y)
  16. thousands?! i was thinking millions! dont worry i have you guys at the top of the list and in the big bold format that draws peoples attention away from the other links. not that i dont want them to view the other links, just the trials forum is most definately more imporant. stu :)
  17. yeah i agree free web hosting is crap but then paying for web hosting is also crap unless you actually benefit from it in some particular way. Bonus is with the websites i have made i have a load of servers i can use to host all the images and videos thus making the pages load much quicker because they are paid hosts :D" Paul im soon to be out riding again. I have my driving test on tuesday and well i have been concentrating on work and getting on the road mainly but once i have passed its bike in the car and drive to random far away :P stu (Y)
  18. nice, nice. I shall get to work on them. Yeah todge i totally agree. I have my driving test i want to get out of the way and get on the road fully and legally so as soon as i have all that sorted i should be back into the full swing of riding again. stu
  19. Eastcoasttrials Re-United is soon to be coming online, we have found ourselves a free hosting services obviously its not the best in the world but its free and it works. So for the "links" page i need some links. basically you stick a link to your site up on this topic and i will add it to my links page, simple as that. I dont ask for a link in return but if you do wish to add a link then that will be appreciated. The link to our site will not be going up yet simply because the site is not finished and i dont want any peering eyes before its completed  stu
  20. Right, i have spoken to our technical manager and he said: You should have some sort of console for your wireless router. On your console (the program that operates the router) you should have an option to login. The passwords and username are usually set to the defaults and should be able to be located within the manual you got with your router. Once you are logged in to the console you should have a button or a tab that says "wireless" or something similar. Within that there should be an option for encryption which allows you to apply either a 64 bit or 128 bit key. You then need to configure your wireless connection so that when you connect your key is right and accepted and this should stop anybody from being able to break the code and should give you and only you the access to your internet connection. Hopefully that helped a bit, stu :P
  21. we have a company called shenstone business systems that set up our work places entire wireless network, i shall ask them what they suggest doing and they will have a good answer for you, i shall ask them sometime tomorrow and post up the reply that they give me. stu (Y)
  22. if you download the d-link wireless utitlity then run it in infrastructure mode you can enable encryption which then requires a random 26 digit key im pretty sure whoever is doing this will have a fairly hard time trying to crack a pass code that big. stu
