  1. dont do up a car rather than funding a bike, ok stick a nice stereo in there blatently because it has to be done but i have found that keeping my car standard i can race around town and everywhere and not get caught by cops, its probably a little on the better side of things to be keeping your car a bit more inconspicous from the old bill especially only being able to have 6 points on your license for two years is it ? (not sure there) Preserve your license as long as possible, "your the person that gets the license, your the only person that can take it away" stu
  2. surely if you put a wanted post up you could find something better for your money. It will probably be second hand but you may well get a better hub out of it, the rim isnt too bad in all honesty they are pretty strong i just know that you will kill the freewheel on that hub in a short space of time rendering your wheel a little useless to you. Just a thought? stu
  3. Easy Outs Right im not sure if this is the proper name for them but i have always called them easy outs and a few other people i know. Basically its like a drill bit with a thread on it. You wack the drill in reverse mode with one of these bits in the end. The "easy out" will turn anti clockwise drilling into the remainder of the bolt, you will notice on the picture they are tapered as well. As the drill bit goes further in its threads lock tighter and tighter until VOILA your bolt unscrews. Tool 1: Drill with reverse mode Tool 2: "Easy out" Tool 3: Safety specs (remember to stay safe!) stu
  4. A full time job and driving absolutely killed the trials scene for me, i put up with it for the last year and a half and it just about pissed me off to the maximum. So im now unemployed but happy and riding trials again surely thats the best way? Stu
  5. I think i may have worked it out, you will see some pictures like this: These pictures if you notice have no shadows going on from any angles, this makes me think that these photos have been cut out probably using the good old "magic wand" tool on photoshop or similar. Whereas if you notice the above picture has shadows on it, which tells me that these photos have been taken with the parts on some form of white background maybe even white paper like JoeMaher said. So 2 answers for you, either take the pictures on a white background or find a lovely white room. Number 2, take normal pictures then learn to use a photo editing program, i suggest adobe photoshop. To cut the pictures out and put them on a white background, you can also choose any other colour you please, or even a pattern/image. hope that helped a bit, stu
  6. phidentity Errm might be worth a look in your situation? My mate who is 18 just got back from there about a week ago, hmmm white widdow sooo tasty. Anyways his girlfriend is 16, so needed some source of ID, which is where this website come into play. Its alright because your in a different country and its quite easily blaggable. But i was told they are being a little more strict on the ID situations over there then they were last year. Stu
  7. I believe they are called Themes. You can download computer themes for XP from a fair few places free and premium ones. To use them you right click the desktop then click the themes tab at the top. What i personally preffered though was windows blinds. This is the freeware version so it doesnt cost anything The only thing a bit annoying is you get a splash note on the screen when you log onto the computer saying "continue" or "purchase" just clicking continue gets rid of it though. Then if you go to here You can find yourself a good looking theme, click the download button, subscribe to their services oh the joy. Then you are free to download themes from the website. Actually looking at them has kind of made me want to get a new one, stu
  8. If you can boot your computer in DOS mode then you can format the hard drive. I think its the F8 key you need to push during the boot up of your computer, then choose the DOS command. I'm not entirely sure if this feature is available on XP installed computers but i recently did it on a laptop running 98. Once your in DOS mode type in format X:\ ( 'X' being whatever the letter of your drive, normally C:\ ) Then hit the Y key to the next option. stu
  9. I know your like 20 years old and have probably been riding a few years now, but do you really want something representing a bike to be permanently stuck on you for the rest of your life, even when its fading and your all wrinkly and stuff (thats if you make it there ) I had these thoughts going through my head a while back, then with leaving school and getting a job and actually realising what the real world is about i found i no longer have time for trials. It may well be different in your case, just something that might be worth considering. stu
  10. you brainy b*****d! cheers mate sounds like a good way to go about it! stu
  11. Howdy all! One of my work mates has something he wants done but it puzzles me because i dont know if it could physically be done. He has some music videos on DVD he wants just one of these videos cut from the DVD and put onto his phone. Which for his phone to actually play it would need to be converted to MPEG4. Can it be done? stu
  12. Got a ground loop isolator ordered for collection tomorrow morning, will let you know how i get on i asked a few peoples opinions and they reckon it's the best option so im going for that. Thanks UrbanLegend! George, im gonna have a look at that idle valve thingy mcjiggy. I've found a guide on the net of how to completely remove and clean it all etc. Sounds like fun to me - so if my car no longer works after this, im holding you solely responsible cheers, stu
  13. Just for your information mate you might wanna have a look here I would particularly ask you to look at "image thumbnail viewer" and "image thumbnail viewer II" They are pretty good and i think might add a nice little touch to your website. They give you a demo of how they work on the site and also give you instructions along with the source code for using it. Just a thought i had for you mate, stu
  14. So i have absolutely huuuuuge interference levels coming through my stereo, its not through the front speakers which are running solely from the headunit its from the rear speakers and sub. I know about not having the RCA (phono cable) right next to the power cable so i have the RCA cable running down the right hand side of the car (sitting in drivers position) and the power cable running down the left hand side of the car. I have added an interference surpressor to the power supply going to the headunit but still get major interference levels and its really bugging the hell out of me. any ideas? Also anybody ever had problems with a renault car revving itself? I mean like "hunting/searching" as people call it on idle or when i put the clutch right in. stu
  15. now now paul, you know better than that Im guessing its just something to help cure a form of boredom stu
  16. Faggot? HA HA HA, a little bit of an over reaction for just a mouse, they are considered "pests" but in peoples opinions that may be different. Agreeing with Siders thats funny as hell. Bet the mouse was thinking, "well if im gonna go im taking you with me, muhahahaha!" Nice one Siders! Stu
  17. Absolutely lovely car, 244mph! i have loved these ever since it was first released and i was but a little baby! Shame on the price tag though around the time it was something like £500,000 but because they company was losing out on money it went up to £687,000 - last i heard of it anyway. stu
  18. yeah i dont quite know what i was thinking there, must of been thinking music at the time. Janson is quite right it is more towards the 1500kbps mark Cheers for correcting me Janson stu
  19. i would suggest watching a video of a quality you like, as your watching a video any trials video etc. make sure you watch it in media player at the bottom left it will tell you what kbps it is playing at, normally around 156kbps these days is fairly good quality. So this can then give you an idea on what quality you can produce, say if you want it better quality you go for one like the 256kbps, however this dramatically increases file size. If you choose a lower one like 100kbps you end up with the smaller file size but thus you loose a bit of quality. hope that helped a bit mate, stu
  20. GRRRRR its no good, i know i can type pretty damn fast because whenever i make a mistake i always have to hit the back button like 30 times because i've already gone so damn far. Its just typing the damn alphabet. With the alphabet i find myself having to think of where the letters are meant to go like a, b, c, d etc. with words when im typing i dont bother thinking about it somehow my fingers just go where they need to go and the text appears before me, quite strange now i come to think of it. Anyway best of 3.92 stu
  21. Ahhhh yeeeees, i know what you mean and if you move the mouse to the bottom of the desktop the screen scrolls down for you to view the other desktop icons etc. ? The graphics card driver should sort it, however if it doesnt it could be one of two things, either the graphics card doesnt actually support the resolution you are trying to make it or it could be that you are infact out of the monitors range - i have found being out of the monitors range happens more frequently on older laptops than anything else. *EDIT* just read the topic title again and it says "LAPTOP" god im a dumbass sometimes! Try the driver, if this method fails you need to be looking at purchasing a new item or simply put up with it. stu >_<
  22. i had the problem before it turned out that a new graphics card driver solved all. Try and find the exact model and make of the graphics card, go to the manufacturers website and download their latest version. worth a try at least. stu >_<
  23. REEEELAX!!!! is the main key, seriously cant stress to you enough just treat the examiner as if it is your normal driving instructor. If you know or at least think you have ballsed something up dont worry just keep cruising, i stopped half way across the round about because i realised if i kept going i was gonna hit the car that was coming into the roundabout however i just carried on as normal and still passed :ermm: Dont stress, dont worry take it easy and you should walk away happy. Just remember your instructor wouldnt of booked the test if he/she didnt think you were ready. good luck mate, stu :ermm:
  24. although they arent options in your poll i have ALWAYS used the panaracer fire 2.1 on the front they are brilliant, and for the rear the good ole IRC Kujo's. I like the El Gato as well but they wear out damn quick, puncture protection is crap and the colour on the side walls fade quick, the only good point is they are really grippy wet or dry. stu :)
  25. Errm no the one i was thinking of was from coca cola themselves with a "coke-tag" as they called it but yeah that Shazam thing is probably the same  stu :)
