  1. Cheers pal. Just an idea at the moment but I think I will do it at some point. Very helpful, that video was wicked! So is it no speed limits on most roads? How bad are the roads? They didn't look too bad on the vids, but it's quite hard to tell at those speeds!
  2. Can't remember what I have an haven't posted. We have taken the engine out, and it is going in for a few bits and bobs next week I THINK, then once the engine is sweet, and it has MOT etc, then I will de-chav it! I can't wait! Going to be a little different from my focus diesel estate I think!
  3. That must of got tiring, didn't you stop for food?
  4. Just want some general opinions/chat/banter on the Isle of Man really. Was watching Top Gear the other day and thought, hmmm would be cool to go with a few mates, few cars to the Isle of man. Not JUST for the no speed limits and good roads, but just a general little adventure and banter! Anyone ever done it/recommend it/live there? I know it's expensive and I know there are probably better places, just thought it would be a good idea.....
  5. It is blooming expensive at the cinema though. I have just got back from watching it, thought it was good, and the twist was very good. Kept me entertained, I sort of thought it was over half way through. Good acting as usual Big Will!
  6. Got the engine out of my golf today! First idea's are cams, 2l bottom end, some head work, and then a few bits in between. For the moment, a strip down, new bearings, cam belt, gaskets etc if necessary. Then once that's done concentrate on exterior. Already been lowered, got good tread on tyres, and drilled and grooved discs with good life. Alright interior, just needs a good tidy.
  7. I should be off to see it alter so I'll let you all know how it was. Yer blad
  8. Yer I might go. Picked up my golf mk2 gti 16v earlier for £150.00. Needs a gearbox and distributor. Got decent tyres, decent interior, lowered, be worth the 150 even if the gearbox and engine are screwed probably. Not bad for a project car I think.
  9. Bumping this as I may need some help from the VW nuts in the next few weeks!! No-one else got any updates i take it?
  10. If anyone can explain it so that it actually makes sense - feel free! Multiple exposure is when you literally take say 3 photos and lay them on top of each other. It's not how you do the headlight photos. Like this http://cache.viewimages.com/xc/2638495.jpg...55A1E4F32AD3138 for example. Shutter speed, I probably won't explain it very well but it's how long the camera is taking the photo for. A long shutter speed of say 4 seconds and longer is how you do the light trails with headlights you were talking about. You use fast shutter speeds to take photos of sports and when you are trying to freeze the action. The camera needs long exposures when it is dark because it needs to let more light. Hence why a lot of peoples crappy night out photos in clubs are blurry. There are other ways of freezing action, but thats in next weeks lesson... 3 = Spot on
  11. Find singles in your area! There's money to be made in that shit!

    Workstands.

What bike is it? Generally they are very flimsy. I have a Union biketool one and it's very lightweight. If it's a road bike or a very lightweight mtb it should be ok, if not you might want to re-think.
  15. Well, first of all, I saw a builder in Derby, 1 minute from my flat, on Agard street wearing a tarty bikes T-Shirt. Secondly, again in Derby, I was driving along and saw a lad on a Planet-X, for some STUPID reason I got excited (Just moved to derby, didn't know of any riders) I decided to shout 'trials!'. What a nob... So, own up guys, if either of those were you!
  16. That application posted a page back won't work with my hotmail account and Mail and it's doing my head in. Any idea's, also it says set the outgoing server to 'none' but it won't do it, every time I exit and press save it just re-sets to the last outgoing server that I used :@. Please help
  17. Oh dear, this is tricky, I was going to say custard cream hands down, great with tea! But with all this talk of wagon wheels, viscounts, and bourbons I may have to re-think!!
  18. Think I'm going, don't suppose anyone could bring some tar if you read this before you leave Cheers!
  19. Trials every day of the week. Just sounds right, Trial-forum just sounds like the way Hans Ray would say it........
