He might not be a rough b*****d like you? Either way I'd say both are fine. Its nice to go for a fellow riders product though so I say get the Trial-Tech one.
Is the rotor hitting the caliper? That will be because of the different gear ratios. If you let the chain stretch a bit then the wheel will pull back a touch more and it will spin freely.
Tis a beauty, it reminds me of mine when I first got it. How is the brake without a booster? I've got a Trial-Tech carbon one on mine. It felt a bit too spongy without one for me.
Its pretty easy to be honest. It's just a case of getting the wheel past the brake sitting it in the drop outs and tightening it with either bolts or a QR. This is very true. I have just as much fun fixing my bike as I do riding it. I'm a Workshop bitch.
I'd suggest Trial-Tech Bars, Stem and Pedals. which comes to 98 which leaves you a couple of quid for foam grips. If you wanted to change the cranks you'd have to get the free wheel off the rear wheel, buy cranks, bash guard and front and rear cogs.
Depending on the bike you usually just have to put the bar and stem on, pump the tyres up, put the pedals on and put the front wheel in. The brakes will be set up for you and the chain tension will be set slightly tighter than it needs to be to compensate for chain stretch witch will mostly happen on the first ride. It's all fairly straight forward. I suggest you order some decent Allen keys with the bike to make life a bit easier. You'll find with riding trials its better to learn how to do your own repairs on bikes.
Gutted mate. I feel like I've had something stolen from me too. I've not long sold those wheels to you and I had the hubs for a couple of years. I really hope you get it back in tact mate.
Ha ha ha that wouldn't work mate. It doesn't matter which side you tap from the thread will still be the same. I've just snapped a spanner tightening my Ti axle pedal into Try-all cranks so its beyond me how people strip the threads on their cranks. I can only imagine you've either put it in wonky rode with your pedals loose. Good luck sorting it though.
He makes it look like a disadvantage using brakes. I'm very impressed. I've had a little mince about without using my brakes in the past and I have to say it after about 10mins of being totally useless and thinking everything was impossible I started seeing more things to do and feeling a lot more confident. I think it makes you ride a lot smoother and more controlled. Fair play to Rowan though he's taken it to the next few steps up lol. I think a mention of the legend Chris Akrigg is not uncalled for, for being the first person to show us what can be done without brakes. I have to admit to being a nay sayer when he released his first video but I've totally flip flopped on the subject. Now someone go and take Danny Macs brakes off.
Stop licking arse it looks shit lol Yack indeed. That stem nearly made me throw up. Sorry well I'm not really but that bike looks terrible lol. It looks like someone has stuck all the spares they have collected over the years together to make a trials bike up.
