  1. And you have never had any problems with the pins coming loose?
  2. This question doesn't have to do with trials you know? The heat conduction is noticeable when your doing downhill. Then again, depending on your weight an riding style, you may notice the steel melting at some point.
  3. Just wondering. I'm used to a +70mm 24'' frame. This seems to have only +25. How would this compare riding wise?
  4. That's what I expected. Is it still possible to have a silent brake?
  5. I currently run Shimano Saints 810 and am very happy with the pad clearance. The rotors don't have to be 100% straight as the pads are further apart. How is it with Trialzones?
  6. It does look like one but I can't find any with a disc mount on the rear.
  7. I have yet to hit my ankle on a Magura brake. Not gonna happen anytime soon as I'm running Dual Disc but before that my ankles haven't even come close to the slaves.
  8. I guess you would recommend buying them for a pogo stick then? I'm running a HighRoller Super Tacky at the moment but it's almost 500gr. heavier than the conti.
  9. Does any of you guys know what frame this is? It's being sold pretty cheap and I'm thinking of buying it.
  10. Which would be BB7 style and very very cool!
  11. I guess so, even though I have been doing them for 3/4 of a year now (started in Sept. 13 with trials) and have until now, always gained height. Only now I'm at a point that I can't seem to get over...
  12. But my maximum height in the above video isn't any higher than when I reach the wall. How will a closer take off affect my height? And I am actually confused... I've had a look at many pedal up videos by now and there's an equal part of riders who does lift the front wheel with the weak foot (just like Trashzen shows it).
  13. So I tried to do the lifting of the front wheel later while still performing a full crank turn and it didn't work. So I made two steps back and started with my weak foot on the front, just like in Matt's video. Obviously I couldn't reach the heights I used to and I really felt unstable as well but it felt better as soon as I managed to NOT lift the front wheel with my weak foot rather than performing the lifting with my strong foot only. It takes getting used to as I always feel that I crash against the wall when not lifting the front with the left BUT it also feels like I got more leverage when performing the lifting with my strong foot. I really think that this was the main reason for not getting any higher than 5 pallets. There was no resistance anymore and I pushed into nothing with my strong foot. I don't know if that makes any sense. I also recorded one of my first attempts showing how I had been doing it...
  14. +1 and I read that a split clamp is shite really when your gapping etc.
  15. That's interesting as I went by the Trashzen tutorial and in the description (the second picture) his weak foot is at 6 o'clock and the front wheel has already been lifted quite a bit. Now I also get how people do it with only half a crank turn. I struggled to get the wheel up when starting with my weak foot on the front, meaning lifting the front wheel with the first pedal stroke of my weak foot. If you just use this as a speed up and really only lift the front with the strong foot, it seems easier. Thanks so much, I will practice this even though it'll mean that I have to go back to 3 pallets...
  16. How come that you don't even lift the front wheel with your lazy foot? Could this be my problem? I lift the front up way earlier with my left foot while you lift it with your right foot really.
  17. Well, I need to practice bunny hops then. It's just so hard doing it with a pogo stick bike.
  18. So what you're saying is that the actual height is more defined by the pulling up with your arms and tucking your knees up?
  19. That's how I found out how to do it. I think that I don't pull enough on the handlebars when doing the pedal up because when tapping it just pushes my arms up and I have my arse closer to the rear tyre than when doing a pedal up.
  20. Funny thing is that I can get up six pallets with a front wheel tap but struggle to do 5 with a pedal up.
  21. Well. I find it easier to start with my strong foot up front, performing half a crank turn to speed up, then lifting the front up with my weak foot and then do the pedal kick with my strong foot. Many just leave out the first half of the crank turn and start immediately with lifting up the front with the weak foot, thus performing the pedal up with only half a crank turn.
  22. I guess so? What do you mean by that?
  23. Would you say that practicing to half pedal sth. (is this with only half a crank turn?) helps to get up higher when having a full crank turn to work with?
