I wouldn't like to imagine, thousands as far as I know, but there hasn't been an official RRP announced yet. Tomm, with the middle men returned, so they cope badly or they cope well? With the controller spreading the workload surely that would mean they can cope with it enough to be put in computers, otherwise I guess companies wouldnt spec their computers with them... What's the average shelf life of a normal hard drive?

Bear in mind how old that is, he's booting onto like... OS 8.1 and stuff, I reckon it would be considerably faster than a hard drive, but I don't know how they cope with constant access and lots of read/write cycles, when they're used in a camera/mp3 player it's not very often, but with a hard drive it's constantly in use...

Advantage with my room is its bigger than the living room, so we all just sit in my room, chill, listen to music, do uni work and have a good laugh, it's wicked.

I think the speed would be compromised because of the adapter but I guess if you got a fast CF card by a decent manufacturer I don't see why it wouldnt work... Yeah thats the only thing that sucks at the moment, the price to gb ratio is ridiculous, but sooner or later it will do the same as harddrives and drop like a lead balloon. Have you any idea what the registry is?! Oh and by that I mean: You're wrong. When you format, it wipes EVERYTHING and reinstalls it, even your registry , so when you format, it would remove all traces of any viruses/spyware/malware on your computer.

Well I've noticed you keep bumping old topics. There has been an estimated release date for ages, as far as I know Steve didn't give an exact date. But yeah, I'd just keep an eye on the original dates of posts you find, it's pretty annoying finding really old posts bumped for no reason.
