Something light and fat is the best of both worlds, especially considering most people don't really pinch front tyres. I'm running a moto digger which is quite fat and reasonably light. Grip isn't great but then I don't really natural so I don't care.

I was just laughing at the fact that you seem to think that Hindus and Britons are mutually exclusive...
-
You're an idiot. Though I guess Hinduism isn't a race. But seriously, how ignorant do you have to be to say something like that.

Haha awesome, I didn't know that. Cheers. Although the activity window is cmd+alt+A on my mac - perhaps because this is the English version? (Cmd+A = select all)
-
Dunno about for PC, but for the mac one there's certain presets or something that just affect certain applications. So you don't need to move the cursor at all.

Don't you have a remote control? I use my phone and bluetooth to control my Powerbook if I ever need to control it from across the room. LINK. You just install the software on your phone. I think it might just be SE phones though. I occasionally use VNC to control my PC from my Mac, it works like a remote desktop. I don't use it very often though.

They've had the sudden motion sensor thing for ages - My Powerbook has it, and my iBook G4 before that. So probably at least 2-3 years, I don't know exactly. I don't know of any PC laptops that have such technology though? Having said that, I'm not sure it has a practical use. I have no idea how it works, but using the sensor to make a movement-sensitive light-saber program is cool

Yeah I seem to remember you posting about how you had to admin some Macs + bootcamp so I guess you know your way around them. In which case your opinion is valid I use my mac for just the usual stuff - internet, music, watching DVDs occasionally, MSN, downloading stuff. Oh and I do my work on MS Word:Mac. Unless you're into some wierd stuff then there's a mac alternative to just about every program - And some unique ones too (Quicksilver). But like I say - Macs aren't really made for games. Having said that, the couple of games I have played have been decent for the shitty old fx5200 card that's in my aging Powerbook. So it's just the lack of support for games rather than any hardware limitations etc.
-
If you want games you should probably just get a PC. Although I'm not sure many laptops are any good for games, I am sure that Mac laptops are even worse. Personally I never really play games - only internet ones and that xmoto game so my Mac is perfect. But for anything more than that I'd get a PC.

I am one of those Mac users who appreciates the differences between Macs and PCs, and chose the Mac. And I'm not a complete idiot either, I just prefer the way Macs work, how they feel, how they look. Try one and see - if you can get to an Apple shop then go and have a play. I'm not going to try and convince you, because I don't really care what you do. I'm sure you can use google for different opinions anyway. Just don't be blinded by the fact that 95% of people on here will use a PC, and they will never have used a Mac properly. For some reason, everyone seems to think they're qualified to talk about how rubbish Macs are - See this dumbass here: You're right, I never thought of it like that

That is the lamest program ever. I'm sure I saw some guy on it with a flatland BMX, but I missed the actual riding - just saw them chatting to him. He didn't win, they didn't really like him.
-
Ah well, sucks, but I guess it could be worse As for the grandparents, at least they have 56k. Whenever my granny gets near my computer, all she can do is just poke the screen until it turns funny colours

I didn't mean you were on drugs dude

Charel mate, you're still alive. Where are you? That's another good reason to keep them banned, I guess The problem with signature pictures is that they look really, really gay. They just get in the way and look stupid. I don't think it's anything to do with bandwidth.

It also feels gash if your chain is flapping about everywhere - makes engagement much slower. But too tight is bad too - it doesn't spin properly and I guess it doesn't do your hub/freewheel much good either.

I think he was just saying that there's not much point in replying to a topic to tell the world that you have no opinion on it... It wasn't a 'deep' answer I'm afraid.

That would suggest he's not exactly happy with them... Is he sponsored by them? Anyway, Middleburns are the favourite in the UK for good reason, but perhaps the exchange rate shifts the balance in terms Race Face?

Or if you don't "add into post", all the attachments just sit at the bottom. What browser are you using?

Just curious, it's really to see if anyone is actually still on 56k.

Whats In Your, "what Not To Do" Book?

Some of these are gold. -
I think that sort of thing is the norm in other cultures. Particularly in far eastern cultures, the funeral is often more of a celebration than anything else. Which is probably a good thing, although I think in this instance it relates to the passage on to another, better, life. If you don't believe in heaven (or similar) then this is difficult. That's OK, just don't say things like that again

Whereas being burnt alive would be awesome! Cremated for me, burial is a bit pointless IMO.

Perhaps, therefore, guilt is an evolutionary mechanism to prevent deaths happening again. We are all wired to feel pain with loss, in order that we will avoid doing the same thing again? So maybe it's nothing to do with society. I wonder whether chimps or other animals feel a sense of loss at the death of their friends. I guess this might tell us whether it is more of a cultural issue or an evolutionary one. A quick google suggests that perhaps it's the latter: From: http://www.salon.com/books/int/2007/01/31/king/index1.html A bit off-topic I know, but I thought I'd commented on this. Have you ever seen the Chris Rock stand-up where he talks about racism. He says he loves black people but he hates Niggers. By 'Nigger' he means that he hates the gang culture, the people with guns etc. I don't find him particularly funny, but he's got a point. I don't like scally kids who run around causing trouble and starting fights. That's not to say I dislike everyone from a lower social class. My point is that calling someone a chav isn't the same as classism. But you're right, I guess everyone is a little hypocritical.
