    Clocks ?

I can never remember if it's "fall forward, spring back" though

    Touch From Russia

lol at all the people in this topic saying it's rubbish. He clearly got up 57" which is pretty impressive whichever way you look at it. OK, it wasn't the most stylish, and he did fall off (but he wouldn't have done if it wasn't on to pallets), but there's no-one in this thread (so far) who can beat it, so let's all just stay cool and congratulate the guy rather than trying to prove that you're better.

    Hope Mono Trial

Surely when it comes down to it, you're saying that it's not as powerful as other brakes? Maybe that's because you've only got a 160 though? I expect my brake to lock whatever, and it does. Avid ***
  4. Haha, yeah I have a friend who bruises real easily. You just touch her and she's got marks for weeks

    Eye Toy

But be VERY careful what drivers you download. I tried this a while ago and I only found viruses
  6. I'm guessing he looked it up, but then there's some that I know off the top of my head, because I'm cool like that (And I watch a lot of Simpsons)
  7. USB-wise, I have my TV tuner (digital of course), remote control sensor, mouse, printer (or card reader or external hard drive depending on what I'm doing at the time). I need more USB ports
  8. Good luck Bongo. My mate had similar surgery (though they used the middle of his patellar ligament instead of the hamstring) and he's fine now. I think it took a good few months for him to be back to his best. It's still not 100% he says but that's the price you pay I guess. And yeah, Bongo'll be able to ride/ walk again.

    Hope Mono Trial

I've got Hfx 9's on my XC bike and I'd never use them for trials. They're alright but there's no bite at all. Having said that, the problem with discs is that they can be a bit of a lottery - Even of the same model brake, some are awesome and some aren't and there's no way to tell.
  10. PS3 or Xbox + £146's-worth of beer?

    Clocks ?

You're getting one less On the plus side we get an extra hour of light in the evenings to play with
  12. It's not a trials frame at all. It's a BMX/Trails frame. You could use it for trials but it would be rubbish.
  13. Yeah they're being sold by 24/7 so I guess they're just surplus from stock they bought for the Holroyd. That's a bargain, tempted to buy one just for the hell of it (and see if it's better than my Juicy). Hmmm, if only I had a spare £60.

    Songs Wanted

Second one is 'Standing in the Way of Control' by The Gossip, I think. http://www.myspace.com/gossipband
  15. Yeah you're right actually :$ . But you can get a HD-DVD drive so the version with HDMI would be fully compatible with all the movies etc.
  16. That's the point though, they're not. They're trying to force Blu-ray onto us But the PS4 will be years off - The PS2 came out over 7 years ago.

    Cold Sores

It's a different form of the virus, you CAN pass it from your cock to your (her) mouth and vice versa but it's not that common. Anyway, the face kind you can't actually get rid of, you just have to wait for it to disappear. It's only infectious when you've got the cold sores, too. There are some creams (Zovirax?) but I have no idea if they work well.
  18. Did someone say 'Black Xbox360 with HD-DVD support out in April'?

    Urgent!

I just meant that as a group, you can control who can and can't join the group. It's like lots of things in life. I feel there is probably another 'why' coming, isn't there?! I'm not really saying it's 'right' but that's the world we live in and I'm cool with that. You seem slightly troubled by it all Perhaps. Though when I question the meaning of life, I usually come up with 'because it makes us happy'. With that in mind, where is the harm in fitting in if it makes us feel good? We have undergone billions of years of evolution to get to this stage and if you're a Darwinist like me, you believe that the mind, and subsequently society (and therefore all the rules), are a result of evolution. This is who we are as human beings.
  20. You can get a doctor's appointment as a 'Temporary resident' - They just treat you and send the bill to your proper GP, it's dead easy. But yeah, from what you've said it doesn't sound desperately urgent. You can get a sore throat/cold type thing that's just a virus or something and all the snot drips down into your lungs. So you bring up nasty green phlegm but it's not actually from your lungs if you get me, so it's not a chest infection as such and you don't need antibiotics (most sore throats/colds are viral so antibiotics won't touch them, whereas actual chest infections are usually bacterial).

    Urgent!

I think you missed my point slightly, I didn't explain very well. I didn't literally mean that our paying taxes means we 'own' the land. Like you say, ownership of things is a fairly abstract concept governed by our morals, laws and so on. I was thinking of it like this: As a country of tax payers, we control an economic community. Therefore we have the right to allow/deny people access. The fact that we all reside on the same bit of land is really immaterial. I generally agree that we could probably let more people come to this country and work, but if you allowed unlimited migration, then the population of the world would be spread out so thinly and we would lose what national identity we had (and there's a separate debate as to whether that would actually be a bad thing). My point is that the world would be a much more boring place with no culture. I think that possessions and the other concepts we live by (call them morals, laws whatever you want) are very important and represent what being a human being is about. I don't really think they are anything to be ashamed of. But yes, when you break things down, these things can seem rather arbitrary. However, I think if you recreated the world from scratch, money would soon be invented - it's a necessity, just as ownership of things is. Embrace it, don't fight it
  22. My dog never used to like the hoover at all.
  23. But it's also a new form of DVD basically. Really expensive and hi-definition DVD. The reason I am quite pleased that the release has been a flop is this: Sony have been trying to push their own standard (Blu-ray), against the competing format HD-DVD which isn't owned by anyone. Basically it's a format-war between Sony and everyone else (same as Betamax vs VHS), and Sony are relying on the PS3 to push their standard.
  24. You should be able to get an emergency appointment for the GP, 3 weeks is taking the piss. Or go to a walk-in centre. Failing that you could always just go to A&E if it's really bad. Sounds just like you've got flu or some chest infection really? But yeah, go and see a doc
  25. Yeah, I don't get most of them either... But I am pretty sure there is some meaning to most of them.
