Entirely down to personal preference. But mostly fairly short and flickable is good. I think the 24UK is based around the Ashton ET (The original 24", no longer available). I think that's about 1025 wheelbase, 73º head angle, + 25mm BB, 385mm stays. If you're going the custom route (Leeson, Iolo, FreshProducts) then you can have whatever you like. I used to have a 1040 Leeson 24" and it rode quite like a Koxx Levelboss 1065. If you know what you're doing then you can design what you like, but relatively small changes can really make a big difference (I.e. f**k it up ). I think Ashton mentioned something about bringing out a new 24", so you can add that to the list. It's not out yet though. And FreshProducts I thought did custom frames?

I would say MTB spacing, horizontal dropouts. So you can have whatever hub you want really, and no tensioner if you like. I'd certainly consider a DMR revolver hub + ENO freewheel if you're on a bit of a budget The King BMX hubs are a bit more expensive than the standard ones though. If you had all the money in the world and weren't fussed about spending it, then you could go for that. But bear in mind if you come to change frames or sell the hub, it might be a pain in the arse. Yeah, it's called a couple of "allen keys". Never heard of them, they're probably really expensive or something

Anyone know anything about this? Ripspeed CMR-i3000 Looks OK to me, but I don't really know much more than that!

Posts in Chit chat don't count... If they did I would be very close to the 10 000 mark

Ok, is it pretty easy to whip the old stereo out if I want to put a new one in? You need some special tool or something? Obviously I don't have one.
-
What's that in pounds though? I heard Euros are like Fahrenheit - Something like dived by 3 times by 5 and take off 22?

Hehe, I think it would be fair to say that opinion is divided on this matter. I agree with Raub

That's more like it. My dad has one from lidl and it seems ok. Looks pretty cheap (loads of silver plastic) but works well. Anyway - Is THIS the one you meant? I can't see it mention aux in, unfortunately. But it might have it I guess.

Yeah. Harsh. Hope they find some odd disease that they can cure.

I think the "standard" is 1010. L is 1020 XL is 1030 XXL is 1040 At least mine was XXL and it was 1040 But yeah, you can choose whatever you want.

You must have an awesome muzzle that you can light matches on or something, 'cos there's no way I use one a week. Maybe one a month max.
-
Hmmm, didn't wanna spend that much. Any other options? That's not actually a picture I took - The stereo's still in the car so I can't look at the back.
-
Thought I may as well bump this instead of creating a new topic. I have a question. My car ( ) has got a Sony CDX-4160RDS stereo. It's pretty old, so I'm guessing the answer is probably no. Here's the manual. And here's a pic: Anyway, can I wire up my ipod into the back of it somehow, or do I need to buy a new head uni? If I do, can anyone recommend a decent one that's as cheap as possible (not terribly fussed about quality)? And is it pretty easy to fit with normal tools?

They also claimed that the old PowerMacs were twice as powerful as any PC or something. So all their stats are to be taken with a pinch of salt. I don't believe for a second that the Intel Macs are four times faster... But yeah they are a lot better. I wouldn't buy a cheap laptop for photo editing though. It'll be so slow and have no space for storage of photos. Better to either save up and get something decent, or just stick with the desktop.

No idea how you're spending that much every month. Shaving foam lasts me about 3-4 months, same with toothpaste. £10 on Razors a month?
-
There's an article in this month's MBUK about Chris Akrigg in Tokyo, and they said they didn't even bother locking bikes up outside a noodle bar in the city centre because there's no crime Stupid Manc scallies

Yeah, get there early (10 am Sunday) if you want one because they will sell out. Does it have Windows?

I love Look Around You. My friend stole the DVD and never gave it back... But I found all the episodes elsewhere (*cough* Google video *cough*) so I can watch them all again

Pfft this thread is lame. Who cares whether one account is banned or not. I have never ever logged out of this forum. And yet I've never had this problem. FYI you can be logged into this forum as two people at the same time, on the same computer. You have to use two browsers (I.e. Firefox and IE) but it's easily done.

Also go on leesonbikes.co.uk and there's load on there.

I've got a (modified) mech like that on my trials bike. It just bolts onto the frame so you don't need to worry about hangers or anything. In you case, if you really wanted to use the Sora mech, you could probably wedge a normal mech hanger under the nuts for the back wheel, and screw the mech into that. But I have no idea if the indexing is the same on those old mechs, so even if it physically did fit, there's no guarantees it would shift.

Where the hell is he going in that second picture ^^^ ? That looks huge! Anyway, I think it looks pretty cool. But it'll be way too expensive for sensible people
-
FSA SkyPilots are where the sensible money is. Chris Kings and Hopes look nice, but they're unnecessary, people only buy them for pimp factor. FSA Pigs are pretty good too if you you're on a budget, but they're quite heavy and it might be worth spending that bit extra. Although CRC are selling the Ti Chris King for only £199

I would probably go for something cheap-ish. Just because you never really know what size you want, and you don't wanna waste £60 on a stem, only to find out it's too short or something. So buy a cheap one and then you can change it if it's wrong. You're doing well if you break a stem, so I wouldn't worry too much about strength. The only other thing is the pimp factor, and it's up to you whether that's worth £40
