  1. iBooks don't exist any more... And I wouldn't buy any Apple to play games on. In fact I wouldn't buy any laptop at all for games. IMO games consoles for games, everything is very simple that way - There's no need to worry about min specs and changing your computer every month. But yes, you can add another screen to an iBooks and Powerbooks (Which no longer exist), MacBooks or Macbook Pro's. The bigger ones (15" +) just plug straight in I think, the smaller ones need an adapter that comes with them.
  2. I think it's different on a mac, I think this is what they mean. That's on the get info pane for a song.
  3. If you have one of those little blue Tiscali modems that connects by USB, you have to get an ADSL modem + router + wireless access point. Something like a D-link G604T will do the job (Although I don't think it's a particularly good one - look at Netgear products). Unless your Tiscali modem is one that connects via ethernet (and can therefore plug directly into a router), then you may only need to buy a router + wireless, which will be a bit cheaper.
  4. A quick thing to ponder: Would you have a life of luxury in return for five years on death row at the end of your life? I mean, Saddam's done alright for himself, he's lived like a King for what, 50 years? But is it worth it now, when it comes to the crunch? I say... Probably not.
  5. Your computer is getting on a bit... In my opinion it wouldn't be worth changing just the motherboard (What were you hoping to achieve anyway?). Unless you mean the CPU. But again it's probably not really worth it. Depending on the type of CPU and motherboard, you can probably go up to a 3200+ max, which is not that much of a difference. Best thing you can do is probably a format and reinstall of everything, that usually speeds things up. Transflash is the same as mini-SD, I don't know about Micro-SD, it's probably the same also.
  6. I suspect most people knew who he was, he was a really famous guy. Surprised you didn't know him. Anyway, RIP.
  7. Yes, that's what manual mode is for...
  8. How old are you? I thought you had to be 21 and 3 years driving experience before driving on the continent?
  9. Read the manual for one thing. Continuous shooting will work in sports mode as you have found but also in the 'Proper' modes too. There will be a button for "drive" or something, possibly the same button as self timer. I've never used a d50 so I don't know. So set the drive to multi in one of the proper modes (I.e. Manual, aperture priority, shutter priority). The reason the shutter speeds vary when you tip the camera forwards and backwards is because the ground is darker than the sky...

    Injury Advice

My right collar bone is way more prominent than my left, so I think I must have sprained it at some point. It doesn't hurt now though. Have a look at (Google) painful arc syndrome Danny. You're probably a bit young for it though, most likely you've just sprained something.

    Nimh Batteries

All I will say is don't get UniRoss, they're pretty rubbish compared to some others I've got.
  12. Ibuprofen is good. If you have back pain from riding, you've probably over stretched a muscle or something so you just need to rest it. You can take ibuprofen which takes away the pain, but also reduces the muscle spasm which helps the pain too. I had back pain from riding when I first started, it goes
  13. The way to do it would be to have a dual axis lever - Push down for front brake, pull back for rear. Then you could pull either, or both. But that would be very hard to make of course. Or get some awesome system that connects to your elbow or something, but again, hard. Two pistons in line is a daft idea and would only over complicate things. Like La Bourde said, it would be hard to make it work, but the main point is that there's no advantage in that system. One larger piston is going to be the simplest thing to try, and seeing as you're getting on OK (ish) with the HS33 lever, try one with a bigger piston like the HS11 as someone said earlier. What about disc levers? There must be some with a good size piston?
  14. Real, although it's too early for Christmas trees. I refuse to get excited about Christmas until I've got everything I need to buy sorted. So right now I'm just a bit pissed off about the whole Christmas idea. Bah Humbug.
  15. Yes, definitely. Especially when I see apostrophe's (sic) misused. It really bugs me.
  16. Happy birthday mate... (Although I didn't think he actually came on here any more? )
  17. You might be right, although you save a hell of a lot so you've gotta add up whether a manufacturer warrantee is really worth that much. Two things I do know: 1) Canon lenses have an international warrantee (I.e. it doesn't matter where they come from) 2) Canon cameras (I.e. bodies) only have a national warrantee. I have no idea about Sigma though.
  18. I pointed it out before, although I've never used it. I have heard only good things about it though, and I believe Mark (OBM) bought a flash from there. With any luck I'll be ordering a Sigma 10-20 from there soonish

    What Camera

The lens is great - very sharp. It does have IS too (I don't think the Fuji does?), but the downside is the high ISOs are very noisy. Not sure how this compares to the Fuji, but it's completely whipped by my dSLR as you would expect - small sensors with lots of megapixels = noise.
  20. Depends what your standards were I guess, but a LOT for printing in books/magazines/competitions will have had extensive photoshop work, much more than just a tweaking of the levels. You can certainly make photos better with photoshop.

    Grinding

So you can change the discs. It's not really a spanner, it's a little pronged tool, but I'm being pedantic there
  22. Yeah, the 2004 one has a stupid Roc-Loc system that breaks easily. I know those E2s on CRC are cheap, but I think you'd be better off buying something else, maybe the Animas?

    What Camera

My Girlfriend has the Panasonic and it's nice. Like the Fuji, all the manual controls are electronically set and not as satisfying as "real" controls on an SLR. As for the picture quality, the lens is really sharp (much sharper than mine...) and it's pretty decent all round. I have used the Fuji 5600 and the Panasonic is better, but I don't know how it compares to the 6500 - Although I'm sure there are several websites that will help your decision. I know everyone on here bums Fujis, but I'll just say that the Panasonic is worth considering

    New Arrival

Well, I thought about that, but then I thought that, judging on the past, Poopipe probably ain't gonna be that offended
