  1. Actually, you've just given me an idea. I use Quicksilver on my Mac (it's the greatest program evar) and you can assign a hotkey for anything you like. Should have thought of this earlier really. The only problem is that it's not Firefox-specific, so I guess it might interfere with other shortcuts in other programs. I'll see how it goes. Thanks for making me think about it though
  2. Possibly... Not sure what you mean? I'm on a Mac by the way, just to make things difficult
  3. Digital Rebel XT = Canon 350D Same thing, that's just the American name. In Japan they're called Canon Kiss or something
  4. I've just moved over from Safari to Firefox, just because of the extensions really, plus I think it's slightly quicker. The improvements in Firefox v2 are basically the advantages that Safari used to have - now there's not much in it. But there's one thing I really miss from Safari - When you press CMD (Ctrl for you PC types, ish) and the number 1, it brings up the first shortcut on my toolbar, and so on through to 9. This is really useful. Does anyone know any firefox extension to make firefox do the same? Pretty please
  5. You may well be right, but this thread really isn't the place for that kind of argument IMO. Saying that stuff isn't gonna help anyone. Let's just leave this thread for the well-wishing?
  6. That is no more than 5% of the way through the game... You really should try harder! I've just finished all the story missions on San Andreas - Still only 70% though, there's so much to do (I have one Horseshoe).
  7. Say what you want about the iPods... But never speak ill of the Apple laptops, especially since I'm guessing you've never used one?
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong, but surely the temperature at which the whole frame melts is lower than when the welds start to weaken? But obviously frames get powder coated somehow - it must be safe.
  9. ^^^ A bit unnecessary Although I agree that this is one service we don't really need. Any filler is just going to add to weight and not add any strength at all. Plus if it's a dent, it's likely to be in a place that will get bashed - so it's likely to fall off again.
  10. It depends on her policy. She might have the policy with her husband as a named driver, or she has one of those things where she can allow any driver to drive her car with permission. So don't get your hopes up
  11. Plus hundreds of pounds in increased premiums over the next few years, as people have said...
  12. I'd say if you can get it for less than £200 that would be a bargain - it'll probably go for more. So it might be out of your budget? But it is a LOT better than the first one you posted.

    Dilemma!

Although it's the opposite of what you said. Basically if this guy wants to buy the RAM, he himself has to make sure that it's right for him, and Anzo isn't legally obliged to do anything apart from describe the RAM to him. Although is he morally obliged? Depends who you are If it was me, I'd think I'd just feign ignorance and sell it. Then walk away with my hands in my pockets, whistling inconspicuously.
  14. There aren't any decent ones - at least there wasn't when I looked. I believe Acor do/did one. I wouldn't bother - I'd probably try the Araldite method.
  15. That only applies to protected content. Everyone clever turns that stuff off and rips to plain MP3. Although it should mean that songs from the iTunes store will now be convertable to any format so you can play music that you have bought online (In case anyone actually does that). It is and it isn't. you can set the iPod to use disk mode in iTunes preferences (only when the ipod is plugged in I think). However, this makes a separate partition on the iPod for storing general stuff, and it's separate to the music bit, so any music you put there won't play on it. So it's useful for some things, but not for this.
  16. Each iPod has a name and a different profile. If you need to sync more than one iPod with one iTunes library, you can set it to only sync one playlist - I.e. if you have a normal iPod 30Gb, you might want it to have the whole library. But then if you have a 4GB nano as well, you could have a nano playlist of 4Gb and set that to copy. It's not too hard really (Once you have resigned yourself to the fact that it must take over control of your music and put it where it wants to).

I think that in terms of evolution, the most sexually active creatures are going to be selected for, and other species get wiped out (Look at Pandas, for example). By this logic, desire to reproduce would have to be a part of the human make-up. It's not just sex, either. You ever seen a woman go all googly-eyed over a baby? That's an inbuilt mechanism to make the human race want to breed. Sex is good, because over the course of evolution, the animals that enjoyed sex, lived. I think desire for something other than heterosexual intercourse is a just a side-effect of the evolution that causes us to enjoy sex. I.e. We enjoy it because endorphins are released when we ejaculate. This causes us to enjoy heterosexual sex, but also other forms of sex (oral, homosexual, masturbation etc). So sexuality is the effect of the evolutionary mechanism, not the actual mechanism itself.
  18. I wouldn't go anywhere near a monitor with something as corrosive as cillit bang. I reckon you'll get it off with a damp cloth - anything else is a bit risky in my book.
  19. It's missing a headset which I guess might raise the front by 1cm or so - Enough to make it level? Any idea on price anyone?
  20. On closer inspection, that adaptor looks great. I was skeptical, but it only attaches to the wheel, and the place where braking forces usually go. So it can't really be giving the frame more stress than a rim brake (Although I guess it's one-sided). Whether the adapter is up to the job is a different matter... But at least it's semi-replaceable if you break it.
  21. Any album which I've not listened to for a while but used to love at one point or another. Such as: Oasis - What's the story (morning glory) Weezer - Blue album White Stripes - all their old (ish) albums

    Best Way To...

Just for the record, I just rode my BB7. No water, no mud, nothing. And it was great.

That's exactly what I was going to say. Given the choice of a club full of willing, horny women with one thing on the mind, most men would throw out wives/girlfriends etc and would go straight down there. A different woman every night? It's the stuff dreams are made of. Shame that women don't often see it like that. You're right, it is human nature - Men/male animals have to spread their seed around. This is the best way for them to pass genes on. Whereas women need to nurture their young and make sure they survive pregnancy etc. So apparently it's human nature for men to be philanderers and for women to NEVER EVER want sex... Or something like that.

Yeah, just like those female teachers who can barely hold back their desire for pre-pubescent sex. Er, no.
  25. I am pretty sure you're legally obliged to report any accident to the police regardless. My mate got pulled to court for 1) Leaving the scene of an accident 2) Failure to report an accident 3) Criminal damage When he hit a tree late at night (wrote off the car) and went back in the morning to pick the car up. Luckily nothing came of it, he got away with it in the end - And counter-sued for legal fees The other thing to do is to put yourself in the other guy's shoes. He gets hit from behind, not his fault etc. Do you really think he's going to settle for a half-rate job that devalues his car, just out of the goodness of his heart? So whoever said to find a random bumper, spray it, and fit it yourself - That's never gonna happen!
