    New Game.....

EDIT: That's gotta be a new avatar
  2. I would practise the swap on flat ground. You're never going to be able to do it on a wall/rail if you can't do it on the ground. Just keep practising, and make sure you're not using too much back brake. I had a bit of trouble when I learnt these because I held the back brake on all the time. As Janson said, you need to let the front brake off and roll through the move, and when your back wheel hits the ground, if your brake is on it won't work. I think of it like it's a rocking horse
  3. That's exactly what I was going to say. Otherwise they're a total bitch to get off. I don't think there's any real danger if it works loose a bit, it's not as important as, say, your crank bolts.

    Joke....

Chillax people. Where's the Christmas spirit? Now let's all have a group hug, and no-one feel my ass. Ps That wasn't a very good joke
  5. Yeah, USB modems suck. NTL actually got something right by supplying ethernet modems
  6. Try it with the USB modem for a little while Ticcy. If it still happens then it must be an ISP problem and they'll have to fix it. I would be surprised if your router was doing that, but it is possible.

    'old' Bikes

Onza T-raptors and the old T-Rexs are crap though. I don't know anyone who prefers a T-raptor to, say, an Echo control. Fair enough some older bikes are nice, but there have been loads of improvements in trials frames even in the last year. Like Wayne said a lot of it is psychological, but then again some old frames are just not very good...

    Happy Xmas!

How many people have you tried to send that song to this morning?
  9. Are any of them even funny? Are they supposed to be? Bah, I'm such a scrooge
  10. Sometimes they get a bit hot and decide they don't want to work any more. It's pretty shoddy though. Try it in a well-ventilated place and see if that makes a difference. Have you got Windows XP service pack 2? That fixes a lot of problems with wireless, apparently. Try it
  11. Well, yes I am a smug b*****d, but that's not why I wrote that. I put that Apple logo and then some nob mod editted it and changed it for a Windows logo. My money's on Danny . But the Windows logo got a virus or something and had to be reinstalled. So the Apple one came back.
  12. It is a bit shit that we constantly have to watch what we're doing. Obviously opening happychristmaspic.jpg.exe is not a good idea, but the non-tech savvy people won't know that. That's what Anti-virus software should be for, but it's not reliable enough really. EDIT: Har f**king Har

    Online Pc Test

Can't you do that in the BIOS? I'm suprised at that really, I can with my Shuttle bios. Works quite well, the only problem is that the lowest speed is still really noisy. I might buy a quiter fan though...

There is post tomorrow (Christmas eve) but definitely not on Christmas day.
  15. I think the statistic is that if you hit someone at 30mph, 2 in 10 will die. At 40 mph, 8 in 10 will die. Yes, there are obviously the very lucky/unlucky ones, but to say speeding makes no difference is also stupid. You have to play the percentages Having said that, I'm not a big fan of speed cameras. I don't really think that they're making the world safer, people just know how to avoid them. Plus they can't catch the drunk drivers, the people driving wrecklessly etc like a real person can. But I really, really, don't want to get into an argument over how good speed cameras are. If you don't break the law, you won't get a fine
  16. Yeah, all the old-school cool kids started on XC bikes. I had a GT Talera PS Mike, you've let yourself go a bit since those photos...

    Online Pc Test

I want to play at overclocking, but computer doesn't like it. The RAM's holding it back a bit (212) but the motherboard only seems capable of around 220 anyway. Next computer I get will probably be something I can overclock a bit, and probably not a shuttle. Although I don't really need another computer, dammit.
  18. Every 35 ish years since records began, pretty much like clockwork there has been a flu pandemic. The longest there has been between two pandemics is 39 years. The last one was in 1968. We are due one very soon...

No, not really. Not by today's standards anyway.

    Pc Question

Check that it's set to boot from CD-Rom as first preference in the boot order. Also does it do anything before it gets to the flashing line, does it do the usual tests?

    Hoot

Don't be late, you're full of hate, but it doesn't hurt to punctuate
  22. So until a year ago, we had a 1 in 37 risk of getting wiped out in 2029. But we never heard about that. And now we have a much smaller chance? Sounds pretty dumb. In 30 years I'm sure we'll have invented some kind of ship to go and blow it up like on Armageddon (the film), anyway...
  23. The star of David is a symbol of judaism and western oppression of the middle east. You know - Israel, Palastine and all that Jazz? It's hardly unrelated.
  24. Try www.ati.com ? Unless you want some random (probably a bit unstable) hacked drivers, go there. Duh.
