You can use anything. Electrical tape works fine, it doesn't need to be anything special - It's just to cover rough edges on the rim holes/nipples. The slime things work fine and are a cool colour, although they are probably a bit heavier than they need to be

Nah, not really. The main problem I find is that the back wheel slips out of the dropout every time I hit the bash hard. That won't be a problem for your Leeson though - 360 Dropouts are ace

I've just been playing this Goldeneye:Source. It's a nice idea, and it's pretty entertaining but there's so many things wrong with it, it's just a bit annoying to play. When it's ready it'll be great I reckon

Sweet pics Mark. What's going on with the 5th and 6th ones though?

I appreciate what both Phil and Dave & Adam have done, but I don't think they can be described as trials personality of the year. And here is not the right place for everyone to post their allegiance to either Select or Tarty Bikes...
-
Just aim to go a bit higher. If you can go higher and then stick the wheel down, you'll naturally be further back and more likely to stick it on the back wheel.

Jack Johnson is ace, nothing to be ashamed of at all, I think. I have the older album (called "on and on"), it's also good - A very similar style, just different songs. Andy, is the rest of the Madonna album worth having?

Are we allowed to laugh at georgie? Or is that against the rules of this thread?

You can't just go for "nicest bloke" though, plenty of people are nice, but what's that got to do with trials? I would probably go for Onza/Zona. They've produced some great products this last year and seem to be one of the most innovative companies about. So they probably get my vote

I think the whole "correct way" thing is complete shite. I spent years being shit at sidehops to the left (away from my lead foot), and now I've actually bothered to try going to the right, I am more comfortable and more accurate, at least with going to two wheels. As you said, Tunni goes towards his front foot and it hardly does him any harm. If it's good enough for him, it's good enough for anyone else, really. Just do whatever is comfortable, and at least try it both ways to see which you prefer. I guess being able to take your back foot off if you're not going to make the up is easier, but it's not really a good reason to stick to one way, IMO.

Yeah, I was expecting trials crashes. My curiosity has some boundaries, didn't like that.

I love Madonna's most recent single. I even bought it off iTunes

Some amps have dedicated poles for biwiring though don't they? I don't really know. If not, there seems absolutely no point in bi-wiring them, as the signal will be the same? I'm pretty sure it is a bodge, stereo amps are made for two speakers (hence "stereo"). But meh, I don't really know. Mong, your setup looks nice, if you have the speakers at the same level as your ears, then you get the right combo of bass/treble, whereas where mine are I get a bit more bass than I should. It's not the end of the world, but it's not ideal. They probably need a bit of space to breathe - turn up the bass and you can feel the air pounding in and out of them from behind. I've only got an inch or two behind them though, I don't know that it would really make that much difference. Probably depends how loud you have em

I've been meaning to try this out, it looks awesome really. It's only an Alpha at the moment, so it'll be pretty buggy I would imagine

They look about the same. Because my room is so damn tiny they are just on a shelf above head height so far from ideal, but I can't put then anywhere else. My room sucks. The are raised up on spikes though. Well I say "spikes", I mean ball bearings. I don't think the amp is capable of bi-wiring

As trolley-dude pointed out though, you can get a cheap bike for £70 that will be ten times better for commuting than a trials bike. £70 is like half a set of 'burns or a Dura Ace mech or something. Peanuts really. So for all intents and purposes, there is no point in buying a trials bike to ride to work on. It's stupid, gears or no gears (22-11 isn't particularly fast anyway).

Yeah. Dunno what I'm aiming for really. Maybe neurology? I don't have to choose yet and at the moment I'm changing my mind every week or so

That is an awesome pic - is that a train line?

I had a big Zen 30Gb thing and it was OK, but it was about twice the size of the new ipods, the touch is much the same size I think. My sister has a Zen Micro and it's nice enough (although she's on her third one - they all broke at the headphone socket and got replaced), but it's not really in the same league as the iPods IMO. Unfortunately, iPod minis are apparently hot-property at the moment, on eBay they're selling for more than the nano I would probably get a Nano 4Gb (although it is slightly out of your budget I think).

I have exactly that setup (A1 Mk3 + Nucleus speaker, I'm not sure if they are the KV1 or the KV2s though. They have yellow cones). Like Tom said, you probably don't need any extra bass. It's certainly nothing I've ever worried about (then again I'm not a dance-whore ), in fact I think they have pretty awesome bass. I would see how it goes with them for a bit, I think wiring up a sub to a normal stereo amp is a bodge-job anyway...

Do you have to wear glasses or anything? And I thought it was some inner-ear problem (it's the same thing as when you're drunk and you can't see straight). Maybe there's some other forms of it. Either way, I'm sure they will be able to do something for you

Firstly, a lot of digital cameras don't like alkaline batteries. You NEED to use rechargeables. Get some decent Ni-MH (not MiCd) and a charger, that'll be about £10. So see how you get on with that. If the people at PC World know anything, they will tell you that, before they will take it back. Megapixels mean nothing, really. I would probably rather have a decent well-known brand (Canon, Olympus, Nikon, Fuji etc) camera with half as many pixels. A 3 megapixel camera is fine for normal sized photos (A4 at a bit of a push), so unless you are getting lot of enlargements or doing a lot of cropping, you don't need any bigger. Really. Obviously the more the merrier, but there are lots of other factors that are more important. Optical zoom is good, digital zoom is pointless. You could get a cheap miniDV camera if you want, but the quality of stills will be appalling. Probably no better than a phone. On the other hand, they can take videos. Really, it's best to think of them as separate things - digital cameras for photos, video cameras for videos. You can't do both with either. The only camera I have used in your price range was an Olympus C-360z, but that's pretty old and I'm sure they have improved a fair bit since I got it, so I don't really have any suggestions. But yeah, stick with decent brands and you'll be fine

If you're behind a router (in-built firewall), the you probably don't need a software firewall, and certainly nothing more than the Windows Firewall

The first time I went swimming with them in, I lost both of them. And if I rub my eyes without remembering I have them in, they'll come out. It's annoying, but it's not a problem most the time. But not having to do anything would be schweet.
