  1. Leesons are more likely to crack there than the Zoot, anyway . It's all very well saying you like Leeson's ethics and quality of ride, but is that REALLY that important? Sounds like a pretty bad excuse to badmouth Onza to me. I don't really understand why you're saying that in this topic either? You could apply the above argument to 99% of bike manufacturers (Ie everyone apart from Leeson, Curtis and a few others). I am gonna get another Leeson I think, but I would certainly buy a Zoot if it had the right geometry and the right price. There's no point in being anti-Onza these days, all you're doing is shooting yourself in the foot.
  2. FACT: I have seen The Locust. They were supporting at a Yeah Yeah Yeahs gig. They came on dressed in fencing outfits and looks stupid, and, well, they sucked. Totally the wrong crowd for them, they got booed.
  3. No. I dunno if there is any advantage in doing that. It'll surely be earthed through the power lead, no? I've not earthed it and it sounds fine
  4. It's nothing to do with what you want.
  5. Buy decent-brand stuff, no PC Chips motherboards, however inexpensive they seem. Do you need a decent graphics card? If you're going to be gaming/CADing then yes, if not then anything will do, so you can certainly save some money there. No need to spend more than £50, you might even be fine with onboard graphics... For multi-tasking, you want an AMD X2 CPU, probably. Dual core and they will allow you to do twice as many things at one (Eg Rip a DVD and encode some video or something). Although to speed up video encoding, a Pentium may be better. There's probably not much in it - The AMD is nearly as fast as a Pentium in these things now anyway. I would go for an AMD X2 4200+. I would say large hard drives are important. If you want to be really clever, get a Western Digital Raptor 72GB to put Windows and all your programs on (they are very fast), and then get another 300GB (or two) drive to put all the other crap on (videos, files etc). There's probably no need to worry about RAID, the Raptor will be faster. Go for 2Gb RAM to be a pimp. More is stupid. 1Gb is probably enough for most people at the moment, but if you're doing a lot of editing you might see the difference. I've gotta go now
  6. Yeah, it's not a question of preference really. You have to do it at a bit of an angle (towards your bad foot) if you want to go over ~28" or something (depends on the length of your bike).

    Pedals

Yeah, I'm with hiltop on this one. There's no real point in buying expensive pedals because you WILL kill the pedal body before the bearings reach the end of their life. Wellgo V8 copies, Shindigs, VPs, they're all very cheap n chearful really. Unless you're a big pimp, there's no point in spending more than £20.
  8. At least the other one had some kind of inuendo. Which is why these things are funny. "I'm not gay, I slipped and entered him!" is just about bum sex, no two ways about it. That's the difference between your caption and something funny.
  9. It's about 1.5MB. Unless the one you found has some bundled levels, I would be very wary of it... Attached is a 1.5Mb zip file, just so you can, um, you know, compare size test.zip

    Koxx Days 06

Do you have to have anything special to drive abroad/in France? I thought you had to have had a UK license for 3 years or something?
  11. I would give up. Sony are notoriously annoying at DRM, being a record company first and a MP3 player manufacturer second. Even if you do manage to get them off the thing, they will be in atrac as you say, which will need converting to MP3. I don't know if there is software for this, but I expect not...
  12. Aw, I want GT4 and a PS2 again now. Hmph
  13. Yes, but the point is that a 6800LE can be softmodded into a 6800GT (I think). So in essence, it's a very cheap 6800GT, provided you're willing to do a little bit of work on it.
  14. I'm 99% sure your problem won't be helped by a decent graphics card. If it can display your windows desktop OK, it's probably OK for watching TV on/playing the playstation.

    Bit Torrent

Not really. It's slow and I doubt it will even work. FTP really isn't that hard and it will be worth it.
  16. Oh well, I was totally wrong

    My New Bike

I think it looks like a lot of other bikes. I also don't think this topic is going to stay open very long
  18. It might be the other way around - Can't remember. But I think with one video mode you can use a window, the other you can't. And you can't with Source. I think. I've never really bothered worrying about it though, I'm not sure why you would want to do it...
  19. Your PC being low spec has no bearing on how low the ping is. It's a test of how fast your internet line is. Although running MSN doesn't help. It's probably due to the spyware you have installed if you don't mind the assumption
  20. It depends on the game. You may well be able to run CS 1.6 in a window because that uses directx, whereas any game that uses OpenGL will not. I'm pretty sure WoW can be windowed though.
