  1. Which is a much nicer way of saying what I was going to post. Whatever, I'm sure Stan won't mind :) I think Ben is in a different league to be honest...
  2. When I tried to do it a couple of years ago, the only thing that was available was an £8 job from ACOR. Square taper only too. See if your local bike shop can tap the threads using the VAR tool and hope that works. If that doesn't work, you need to think about a new frame/getting a crash replacement. Or you could aryldite a BB in the frame so it will never come out. Should be safe, but the frame would only last as long as the BB. Good luck!
  3. Well you gotta beat 39.6 now >_<
  4. All of them. My best on the first is 7.1 >_<
  5. Keep trying to beat my record of 44seconds. 23seconds is just kerazzzy! >_<
  6. Who are you planning to rat on? Or who ratted on you? >_<

    Echo Hubs.

There's no point. You can get every rim on the market in 32h (*probably) and not very many in 36h. Speaking as someone who had a 36h hub, it's a bit of a bitch to get hold of 36h rims. I would prefer it if everything only came in one size, and 36h products didn't exist. All these dual standards are crap. Make things one size and everyone's happy. 32h it is then >_<
  8. Yes, but mountains are measured on their height above sea level, so Everest is the highest mountain. It's not just a big mistake (Y)
  9. There's a big difference between training and putting on weight, and getting a disease though :D No point comparing. My bathroom scales tell me I'm 15% fat and I'm hardly a porker. In fact I don't even eat pig (Y)
  10. Sticking on the ultra-pedantic subject of the world being slightly eliptical and mountains and stuff: While Everest is the highest mountain above sea level, it is not the point furthest from the centre of the earth. The point furthest from the centre of the earth is Mt Chimborazo in Ecuador. FACT: 26% of all Mach 3 razors made for sale in the UK will be stolen (Y)
  11. Meeoooow! Did she have purple-ish hair?

    Back Pains

Can you see you GP and see if he will refer you for physio? I would have thought so. Will probably be a pretty long wait though, good ol' NHS (Y)

    Bell's Palsy

Depends what caused it. It's because you compressed your facial nerve on one side. So basically once you get rid of whatever's compressing it you'll be fine. My nextdoor neighbour had it because she had a tumour on that side of her face, and that never went away I don't think. But you haven't got cancer. From a book: Weakness worstens for 1-2 days and then stabilizes, any pain resolves within a few days. Most people recover within a few weeks.
  14. I always was confused by this. What exactly is TrialNoir apart from a cool name? :-

    Rotorzorz...

If it's not amazing, then there is probably something wrong with it. Have you clean the rotors and burnt the pads?
  16. My money is just on excessive adware/spyware and general crap that accumulates on Windows. Try and remove some programs from msconfig, run adaware and spybot etc.

    Pc Vs Mac?

I don't think you could be more wrong really. If you replaced "Windows" for "Mac" in that and vice versa it would make much more sense... Mac aren't hard to use, they are way easier than PCs. Complete noobs would get on MUCH better with a Mac. And they certainly don't take more maintenance than PCs. Spyware/Adware/Viruses? Not on a Mac. Also you know how Windows goes all shit and slow after about a year, and it's all fixed with a fresh install? Well you don't have to do that on Macs either. As I've said before, I don't think I would have a Mac as a desktop PC. Yeah, they look REALLY nice on your desk, but once that novelty has worn off, they are just normal PCs. I don't think they are massively overpriced any more, but they certainly aren't as cheap as PCs. What you do get, however, is hardware that is made for the operating system and vice versa. Apple like to say that "it just works", I.e. you plug something in and it works straight away. My iBook wasn't as fast as my (desktop) PC (Athlon 64 3200+) though. I mean it wasn't lots slower, but it was no speed Demon. Then again laptops are limited by hard drives and ram and stuff and will never be as fast as a desktop anyway. Mac minis are basically the same because they are just laptop hardware in a small box to be put on your desk. But then again you gotta wonder what you're doing and whether you NEED it to be amazingly quick. Does it really matter that Firefox starts up half a second slower than on a PC? My iBook did everything I wanted it to do in a nice small package, fairly cheaply and very reliably. Some times you want to exchange pure speed for something that is really good quality. And Mac OS X has some really nice touches that make you smile and wonder why Windows can't be that good.

    Help Please

Spyware/Adware - Download both SpyBot S&D - Download HERE. Adaware - Download HERE. AntiVirus AVG Free Edition - Download HERE.
  20. Maybe they would if they had games released for them. In fact my iBook ran Halo fine, and it's only a 1.3GHz CPU with ATI 5200 32Mb graphics (I.e. shit). The high-end dual G5s must be a beast, but the games don't really get released. Definitely get a PC if you want to play games.

    Pc Vs Mac?

Nice argument Monkey. I would post something but I'm going to have a shower. I'll be back in a bit to see how far this thread has gone downhill.
  22. iBooks start at £699, unless you can wangle an educational discount. Mine cost £614. They are nice because they are small and light and have really good battery life, but they aren't so small that they are missing some things (like a DVD drive). Build quality is nice and you get Mac OS X, which is imho a fair bit nicer than Windows. Oh, and they look pimpy, if you're into that sort of thing. The downside is that Mac OS X isn't supported by some things. I mean you can get most applications for Mac OS X (Office, IE (should you want it...) Firefox, MSN, Windows Media Player etc), but some things just won't work. Like I don't know if your phone will connect to a Mac via the cable etc. And there are hardly any games out for them. If you don't need anything like that, get one. Most laptops these days have wireless built in, it's only some really cheap ones that don't.
  23. Cut the bead off. And then you don't have to try and cut through the bead, which is really hard (you'll destroy your saw/cutters) anyway. But I'm with TrialsPimp - Just leave it and get a couple of scratches, it's not the end of the world.
