  1. Whilst I agree with what you're saying, in the time of Brisas and Pashleys, there were no "long" bikes around. In fact I think Brisas were quite long by the standards of the day, although I'm not sure on that.
  2. Yeah, but do you hold your bike up on the pedals when you come short on a back wheel? No, you use your brake. I can see why unicycles might have brakes...
  3. 18 months ago EVERYONE used tar. Six months ago, you would have got laughed at on here for using it. Now it's ok again, so sayeth me. TF sucks sometimes :- Anyway, I don't really see the problem with tar. To have decent brakes that hold, you have two options: 1) Set your brake up perfectly, nice bleed, find some good pads, get a nice booster, grind your rim every couple of weeks. 2) Use tar.
  4. Ding ding ding! Just what I was going to say. If it's possible, can I have a copy of the red sidehop one in 1280 or bigger? Thanks :-
  5. Magura. Buy a second hand one for about £25.
  6. Unlucky, looks like you might have to get a new mech (derailleure), unless there is a way to bodge it on, which is unlikely. Don't you just love shimano? >_<
  7. You wouldn't be able to balance at all if there was a freewheel. I think the trials ones are just stronger with bigger tyre etc, although some people have put a brake on too.
  8. Yeah, plus the gear cables run along the seat stays, it would make no sense for the mount to be there. Looks like a bottle holder >_<

I have no experience of the frame, but I would be VERY surprised if it flexed as much as you are describing. I would be much more inclined to think it was some kind of brake setup or wheel problem.
  10. Well ok, it doesn't matter. Like I said, they're all the same so just use the one I posted. If you can't work out what that diagram refers to, I'm sure you'll be able to download a motherboard manual from the manufacturer's website, so look in there.
  11. I hate cases like that. There's no need for the case to be supplied with individual things like that, it's so annoying. Anyway, there will be a pic in the motherboard manual that looks like this But they're all standard, so you can just use that one. And then painstakingly match up the pins to the header... NB each header like that is for TWO usb ports (called 5 and 6 in that pic) so make sure you don't get the ports confusled. Good luck. Just try it, if it doesn't work you can't do any harm, you'll just have to take it off and try again.
  12. Thing is though, Race Face ISIS BBs are shit and expensive, truvative ones are heavy (I think >_< ) and now you're saying FSA ones are shit too? I had no probs with my FSA which I ran for over a year.
  13. You're adding up is like £200 out (Y) (@Sam Nichols)
  14. Draw a straight line between the axles. And then +/- from there (Y)
  15. I'm not sure why everyone thinks landing on your feet is a bad thing... Perhaps you would prefer to land on your head? Or maybe just flat on your stomach? (Y) I have a friend who fell 50ft whilst climbing. He was VERY lucky to land feet first. He broke every bone below (and including) his pelvis, but he lived to tell the tale (And walk again).
  16. Haha (Y) It is a bit painful to look at.
  17. Black blue green grey red yellow From HERE. Mine is a different colour to the blue one on CRC (Y)

    New Camcorder?

Anything miniDV will be fine. I saw a Sumsung one I think it was for £199.99 from Dixons I think (Y) Not sure. Just wait until you find a decent deal. After christmas maybe?
  19. I guess it depends how long they keep using the 754 platform. There must be some reason, perhaps 754 is cheaper to make?
  20. Newbies can't PM. I haven't seen Frika on here recently, so you'll probably be better off contacting Dave Dennis (PlainLazy84) because I think he's the guy who filmed it (Y)
  21. That's all very well, but people with long bikes usually ride street in a completely different way (Taps vs bunny hops, big sidehop vs something spinny etc). OK, calling one style of riding "UCI" may seem a bit misleading, but we all know what someone means when they say "UCI street" (Even if it has nothing to do with UCI really). As for the flat bar/stem thing, I really don't think there's much in it in terms of how they feel. Flat bars look more UCI ((Y)), risers look streetier. I went from Monty bars & stem to 1.5" risers & 110x5 stem and the position is almost exactly the same. The only difference is the up-sweep (on the Monty bars - Which I had tilted backwards anyway). So I wouldn't woory too much about that (Y)
  22. Yeah, how queer. I was thinking of selling mine and getting 939 to make it more future-proof. But now I won't. Although when s754 came out, AMD did say it was going to be a standard for years. I don't see why though, why not just keep 939 and make budget chips for that?

    Will's 18

    Happy Birthday Will! (Y)
  24. Hmmm, that's good. For someone with a s754 system, anyway :)
