  1. OK, as people said we're lacking photos here's couple of pics of mine from today, got lamp replaced as they came cracked when I got the car... replaced some bulbs, thought I'd try yellow fogs, will rarely use them anyway, kind of like them myself but probably not to everyone's taste. - confession, I had to lightroom the colour a little as it didn't look as yellow as it does in the flesh New front rubber, some sort of Falkens, 5mm front spacers (temporary) to clear coilovers... and 20mm rear hubcentrics to fill the arch gap a little. Stance/poke haters look away now. few of Tris' and Dan's Steve
  2. looks like an idiot has a collection of stolen bikes, and in order to shift them on ebay without matching it's stolen descriptions it's just got all sorts of random parts swapped over... oh I guess the stickers to cover it up as well. haha. What a fool Steve
  3. http://news.sky.com/story/1052399/huge-asteroid-to-skim-past-earth-at-18641mph well turns out I didn't finish reading all of it, but coincidence really???? Steve
  4. I read something if it had impacted properly even though it's the size of 4 double decker buses it's carrying enough speed/energy to wipe out the whole of London. Proper NUTS. Steve
  5. I'm not usually a fan of mods, but this looks seriously good, out of interest does everyone actually just say things because they don't have their own opinion anymore? It reminds me of the LE's - by far the best looking frames Deng has produced IMO. You should probably see a doctor soon, don't think sitting in front of a computer on a forum helps. Steve
  6. it's really made me want some hot wings... but I mean, probably nowhere that hot, considering how you described it thought I think you did rather impressively and made it all look so tasty...yum! Steve
  7. loving the MK3 golf wagon here, bodywork is pretty tidy, PD swap? good on fuel and got a bit of punch when you need it on road conditions... so I've spent fair amount of money on my MK4 wagon this week... New Pagid disc and pads all round as it was warped when I got it. 2x new tyres, Falken something something something... (1x almost illegal, 1x inner sidewalls getting shredded by coil adjuster - leds us to the next point) front 15mm hubcentric spacers (opted for long bolt option...) rear mtec 20mm hubcentric spacers (same as above) and couple of things that wasn't essential but will annoy me no doubt if not replaced soon... headlight was cracked so picked up a set for £20 and whilst new light fitted new bulbs will also go in... Osram (or "I lik da poo" in polish or something...) Nightbreaker Plus dipped Osram cool blues sidelights to match Goldvision yellow fogs (don't ask) and a pair of Bosch Aerotwins as wipers were knackered. payday certainly needs to be sooner to cover these expenses... Steve
  8. I think hubcentric spacers are safe, I'm pretty sure a good quality hubcentric spacer is as safe as just running wheels with more offset? Steve
  9. good call. mine's desperately screaming for some spacers but I'm on holiday for a week so I'll deal with that upon return, might even raise the car a little once spaced out, scraped and hit a few things already due to impractical lowness... I love a set of good aftermarket wheels but for stand out street-cred I'm looking to spend mega bucks. affordable aftermarkets are common so might as well stick to OEM wheels and spend a lot less, £87 is a bargain considering they are in good nick! Steve
  10. I like pepperpots. lower it and spacer! that passat wagon looks mean Steve
  11. there's 2 sections with electric shocks in the Tough Mudder I went to, first was called the 'electric eel' and you have to crawl under hanging live wires under a frame, but it's on thin layer of water so you try and slide through it as quickly as possible. I must say it's not the nicest feeling and it f**ked my reflex and literally threw me onto another live wire! the second one was just the last obstacle and I had to just run through a set of them and it also zapped me to the ground, it's not high voltage though but enough to throw me when I was knackered. Steve
  12. The venue and its obstacles changes, I had to be fully submerged twice and they're not even the main ones that require swimming. There's one where you jump off a platform and have to swim 15m or so. You can skip obstacles by the way, if you feel it will put yourself in danger ie drown then they actually rather you skipped it, I skipped the platform jump as I didn't feel confident enough to come back out the water after hah.. Stvee
  13. personally I like the black, but if you want a colour change then defo go gold, with red rim stripe... maybe? Steve
  14. I did the first one they introduced in the UK last May, it was amazing fun, I didn't feel much training was required, just need to make sure you can cover 10-12miles of mixed running and carrying logs on your shoulder and getting muddy as f**k... etc etc you do get cuts and bruises though, and it's recommended that you can swim (though I can't and I did 95% of it) tips: wear trainers you don't care about, or clothes for that matter. training tips: just make sure you are generally fit and can cover long distance runs, the speed is set by yourself and the team so it doesn't matter, it's not a race and no one will be timing you. work on upper body stuff, you need to be able to pull your own weight consistently, and if you want to complete the greasy monkey bar challenge then start training on that front, I thought I was good at pull ups etc until I pulled myself onto the monkey bars - it's almost impossible if you have small hands! You won't regret doing it! Steve
  15. couple more with Dan's A-Floor. cuz we cool lik that. Steve
  16. back again today, more pics.... spamspamspamspamspam. needs spacers next. went with JOM's as a mate had a set practically brand new and offered to me at a good price. it's no performance car but handling isn't that bad, less bouncy than I expect and generally quite a good ride. good enough for the road handling wise and not too uncomfortable. Steve
  17. people like pictures of cars right? it's getting slammed in a day so there'll be an update... cheeky pic of Dan's... viola. plans are coilovers & spacers for now, pretty much going for OEM+ don't know if I can be bothered to throw much more money at it, not sure if it's worth it! Steve
  18. anyone know which coilovers for road use for a MK4 Golf Estate TDI? budget, read some posts on audisport by Jardo and Prawn and seems like all budget ones are pretty similar, FK/JOM etc... being an estate and TDI will the 'standard' MK4 results on ebay fit fine? Or do they need to be estate specific as they have a different spring rate etc? Any help appreciated! another question, which forum should I look into joining..? There's loads!! Steve
  19. The sky rim in your first link is what I'm using with eyelets, no idea it was the same as a VIZ but I used to have that and the sky rim is much better at strength and grind holds in comparison! Not sure in the new k2 rims. Old hole/rockman are heavier than what I've got but holds grind better and a tad stronger build wheel wise. Steve
  20. Wow Inur. Looks even better spaced out but I guess not that practical if you're using on the track! Steve
  21. Alfa 156 GTA with q2 diff? Look and sound amazing but it is fwd... Steve
  22. is it just me who thinks Jardo's 'Audi Sport' plate holders look mighty tacky? Steve
  23. that looks awesome fun. how the hell did you see in that condition? in other news: if you can't find it, griiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiind it. Steve
  24. it should be 1.65kg frame and headset inc. and yeah the geo should be around that... Steve
