the heavy tools isnt a bike for a tall rider. its short by todays standards. try a long frame, (control, pitbull etc) and you will likely notice a huge improvement

basically you should look at the 400d and the nikon d80. in terms of handling the d80 is awesome, the 400d is abit small (although not too bad because your carrying it around alot.) performancewise between the 400d and d80 theres very little in it. it all depends whether you wana pay a fiar bit extra for the nikon for the nicer handling. i went for the 400d and got a batterygrip and now the handling is fantastic, fits great in my hand ( i have big hands) and is a nice weight, and i got huge battery life. its also nice to be able to shoot portrait without having your arm at a weird angle. lensewise id say canon have the edge ( not by much) the top end canon telephotos are amazing but very expensive. at shorter focal lengths id be inclinded to use sigma lenses anyway due to canon ones being very expensive. best thing to do is go to jessops, ignore everything they say but have a play with the cameras. are you planning to use the camera for bike photos? if so try and stretch to the 30d as it has 5 fps instead of 3.

Right i rarely admit this but koxx vincos ride amazingly nicely. i had one foe a while and went back to low bb due for better taps and a more normal bike. but yeh vincos ride so nicely. they arent that strong though and the do take a bit of getting used to, and they arent as good as a low bb bike so all in all pretty pointless, but they are definatly an interesting ride.

if the new try all bars are same shape as montys ( which i think they are) they are worth trying, 27 inch is a little narrow but make some bar extenders from some wood and they are great bars, really nice shape

some awesome pictures, however personally im not keen on the pictures with the recticular (sp) lens. i prefer the effect of a fisheye. it stretchs the image in an unattractive way ( for trials, look great for landscapes)
