  1. ^^ spit on. one of the funniest ever episodes. genius.
  2. what about a helmet with built in lights ?! i think the reversible hi viz jacket is a good n, only thing id add is make it fully breathable but still have decent water proof ness. something like the gore-tex that MOD use for wet weather gear. built in lights if you could make them so you really don't feel them could be a bonus for comuters on those dreary mornings.
  3. looks like you've done a good job on them. i snapped a bb years ago and the bigger took a chunk out of my middleburns. was riding rocks at the time just preloaded to lunge up fairly nice sized one and ping I've never hit my nuts so hard on the stem and then carried on to fall into a quivering pile on the floor.
  4. price id imagine. think how old and unchanged the concept is, back then i would imagine it was as good as the technology of the time could manufacture. if it isn't dreadful most things never or take stupid amount of time to innovate.
  5. wtf why not use a chainwhip or gently clamp the sprocket in soft jawed vice to get it off by turning the wheel. was it a Halfords by any chance ? i know they get bloody tight but that's something else i hope your friend stands up for himself and either gets them to replace the hub and cog or gets his money back and demands a new cog.
  6. as above. i think its a confidence thing to be honest. your comfortable in front of people you know but not Joe blogs, its something alot of people have to deal with. a few of my mates were/ are still the same. hang on in there and just keep going, imagine that they are all people from school or work that you know well and feel comfortable to do anything in front of.
  7. fair play fella. ( had to check it as i was sure it was. but im wrong. still think it belongs to foldy bike people market though.
  8. got to have one B-) foldy bikes are just wrong. i live on the isle of wight and they're everywhere. bloody yatchies ) and people used to tell me bmx was kids bike but still gotta be easyer to get about on than one of these.
  9. no brainer to keep then. you must still love her to have spent recently.
  10. ^^ he's hit the nail on the head. keep it. i dread to think how much you've spent on it ? looks mint fella all those green tactic bits just my sentimental 2 pence worth. on a good note someone's gonna be a happy boy if/when you do sell it.
  11. funny that my bt raven 4 that i snapped at the chainstay yoke that i welded back up is fine. with no h.t. whatsoever. also say echo refuse to reimburse tartys stating some rubbish as many manufacturers do blaming the consumer in some way or other, its down to tartys to stump the bill ? im afraid trials can be brutal to components, frames etc and although you may feel your smooth don't ride hard etc do you know the forces your putting stuff though ? because i can say without a shadow of a doubt all manufacturers know what their products Will hold up to and in this day and age materials are pretty consistent.
  12. maybe the reason tartys won't give full money back may be due to perhaps they are possibly doing so off of their own backs. i know consumer law is what it is these days but even so not all manufacturers around the globe follow law ! and also why not worst case scenario get things welded up ?
  13. fair dos mate give me a msg when you fancy it mate.
  14. i drilled my rear rim the other day basically as I've had the wheel for the best part of 10 years and probs used for 6 of it without breaking it and i swept up all the swarf. on a halo combat sas (v. heavy but strong as fook) 36 8mm holes as a start through both sections only actually saved 24.3g so don't be a weenie it really isn't worth it just learn to ride.
  15. I've got 26" old style with number 018 but mine is missing its downtube which I've been meaning to replace and then restore it back to the piece of art it was.
  16. hi there welcome to trials guys.
  17. definatly fella. i used to regularly ride soton years ago with my old crew of riders but im now the only one i know of still riding. won't be until im back on form though. but likewise if you ever come this way. i live in east cowes about 5 mins from the ferry and depending on how good your level of skill is you can't get bored on the island.
  18. Hi to all. My names Sam, im 25 and have been into trials since i was 12. Stopped 7 years ago due to having kids with my Mrs and now my oldest is starting to get into it so at last I've started riding again. I used to ride stock and was pretty good till i stopped, baught a mod to get back into it so have mod and stock at my disposal now, just need to get good again. Before i forget i live on the isle of wight. Sam
  19. Just asking if anyone on here lives on the isle of wight ? I used to ride years ago and stopped due to having kids, i recently treated myself to a new bike so getting back into it now, only thing is there's only two of us now so it would be good to find some more. Cheers. Sam
  20. I think if i were in this guys shoes id buy local rather than import to save a few quid as because he seems to be new to trials he Will be far more likely to encounter a problem with the any bike and in turn Will need to shell out at least whatever he saves back in postage and may be entirely without bike for weeks.
