  1. He still has a pashley mhz too but prefers his onza. There's a few others of us from that era still kicking about. Shame we've got old and not kept it up to be honest. So much harder now than 15 years ago.
  2. Personally I think the little story made it, some good riding also but it had I think a very well put together feel to it, even the music fits perfectly.
  3. I have a set of azonic bars but actually prefer these and couldn't find a stem to fit them. As for the rim no thanks this is fine. It's built as I want it so fits perfectly what I want it too, besides I have 3 bikes so I won't be killing this anytime soon. And this has a middleburn pro trial bashgaurd it's just smaller.
  4. Here it is. Other than an inner gear cable she's finished.
  5. I'm loving this. The corners and bending machine look spot on and also your welding is loads cleaner.
  6. Doesn't need a higher stem it isn't a modern bike is it. I've been through finding the best set up back in the day (late 90s onwards) and know this will work much better than a high front end. And again the seat is temporary as I said.
  7. Here's my oter more modern bike which I've treated to a pair of pro 2s today so finally can get rid of the freewheel up front
  8. Yeah I don't much like the mini seat either. Why go dx32 when this rim was sat in my garage doing nowt and free. Anyway elite fatso ora BMF would be the ones to go for but couldn't find either.
  9. So sorry to bore some of you who will not want to look but I recently baught another one after killing one years ago. I've almost finished building it up and it's starting to look awsome. It's also a better spec than my old one too. Bb and cranks (burns rs7 with po trials bash, although it has been reduced in size and barely covers a 22 tooth chainring) will be on as soon as I've got the bb threads cleaned through. Just need a seat set up and clamp, a shifter and a chain. What d'yall think?
  10. I bought one off him fully built, yeah it was second hand but still in very good nick and to be honest I cant fault it. yeah there's better frames out there and yeah theres frames that look nicer and have higher build quality but at the end of the day not with the price tag he was using so yeah maybe he couldn't compete with the main manufacturers but for what he charged if you were clear enough with your pds then you got what you asked for.
  11. Quality video cant really pick a favourite bit.

    19" rim

I use a try-all reinforced 19" rim and haven't had any issues, seems mighty strong and have only ground it once and still works exceptionally.
  13. Why not send some cheap flowers to her (at work as will/may save problems with her partner) and write him a card divulging her secret love for him that she can no longer keep to herself
  14. sorry I'm slack been meaning to sort something for this, is there still time if I get a picture and message sorted in the next day or two. Can't believe so few have bothered though, going to try and get a few of my mates who no longer ride roped in for a group card at least. I can remember idolising both him and hawsy and back then VHS was all we had so for a lot of us older riders his videos were more than just inspiration, without them the sport really wouldn't be where it is. Sounds really cliche but nonetheless true.
  15. Yeah you may need to dtill it out a bit out so the bore of the hole is only slightly smaller than the tap otherwise may bugger your tap up, and good rule of thumb is twice forward then once back, to clear the swarf when cutting new threads

  19. I know similar threads have been on here but I can find them and it will be easier for me all in one place and separate from others. I am currently carrying out market research (as part of an assignment for a BTEC level 3 extended diploma) to establish any trends in the current market of which to research further in respect of bicycle frame manufacture viability. please note im not actually manufacturing, my project is purely from a design perspective. So please complete this short questionnaire, and feel free to add any other information or advice you may feel relevant. (please either copy and paste or just number your answers) many thanks. What age are you? Are you male or female? 3. Do you currently own a bicycle? Or many? 4. Will you be purchasing a new bicycle in the near future? 5. How long have you been riding bicycles? 6. Do you consider yourself to ride simply for pleasure or do you compete in competitions and if so what level do you ride at? 7. Can you name your favourite manufacturer? Or preference to genre? 8. How much would you consider spending on? A generic frame from a manufacturer? or A custom frame made to your specification? 9. Do you have a preference to materials? Steel’s (grouped with alloys of) Aluminium’s (grouped with alloys of) Composites. 10. What sized wheel bike do you use? © Sam Williams 2013
  20. its the same old argument wherever you live I think. you seem to have responded in a mature and collective manner, which I think is all you can do. yes in theory as a member of the public you and the rest of us perhaps have contributed towards these kind of obstacles, however any complaint made by another member of the public, whether or not any damage has been caused will always be sided by any authorities. I have had police turn up stating that public complaints have been made about damage that doesn't even exist, and I have also shown police where I have ridden etc and the response is usually " I love what your doing and I can see its your creative release so to speak but if any damage were to become apparent you will be liable" to which I say I will happily pay but generally ends in "if you don't move on and continue to ride after being told not to you may be arrested for criminal damage. I think its just the way it is.
  21. im well jealous fella. im also in my second year of a btec level 3 in engineering and im doing a similar project but we aren't going to be actualy fabricating anything, just (still big enough task) the design phase.
  22. still got that old pashley in my garage. frame only minus a down tube. Will get it sorted one day.
  23. heres my stock as it was a while back, disk and maggy not on there anymore, back to xtr v on the front and shitty v on the back with xtr lever. and middleburns back on it too also currently got a zona zip mod which I will sort pics out of. and also some of my old rides that I came across today on my laptop, I know some are a bit gash but hey.
  24. Make one. It'll only take a little while, worst part Will be sourcing the tap.
