I've watched a few reviews on youtube and it seems any type of lag in that regard isn't even an issue as has been said in here, which is surprising but there we go. This'll be the future of gaming certainly. 5 years down the road and there won't be any consoles like we have today. They'll just be streaming devices, or not even that because most TV's will have built in internet.

Yeah but the video will have a delay on it's way back to you. There will be, but I'm sure it's not noticeable enough. If you get lag with pressing buttons on your controller, I bet it would become noticeable. But then again, I haven't tried it yet.

Is ping on way, or there and back? That's a little different though. Firing a gun at your friend head and missing because of the lag is one thing. But to press a button and your character takes a quarter of a second to respond.

It's certainly the future but not for now, internet connection speed isn't good enough. How do they get round lag? I'd have though you'd press a button and it'd take 200ms for the game to react.

5/10. Been pretty boring, waiting to get my immigration crap sorted. Should have all been done with in 2009, but only just got it done with 4 months ago. Did get to get back home for 3 weeks so the wife could meet all my family and friends, definitively the best part. Don't think I'm going to find a job this year but hopefully very early on next year.

No worries about the short replies got all the info I need! I really don't think I need a TB. My laptop has 320gb and it's just no where near full. It's just for backing up pictures and stuff like that. Speed isn't important to me at all either. Portability would be nice though if I ever need to bring it home.

I didn't say anything about internal. But I did mean 500gb. I was looking out for a 500gb external hard drive today (I need the money more than I need 1TB of space) when I went to the wonderful land of Walmart, they had one, but it was a 'portable' toshiba external hard drive that didn't plug into the wall which made me wary as my old one did. When I did a bit of googling when i got back home, it seems that I can get a the same disk space for the same price regardless of portability or not. Hence my question, is there any advantage to a non-portable one compared to a portable one (that draws it's power from USB rather than the wall)?

What's the disadvantage between a portable external hard drive compared to a regular desktop external hard drive providing that they're the same price and and both 500mb?

Well using the same analogy, if you keep stacking on a certain obstacle you can keep trying and trying and stacking and stacking, you'll get worn down and might end up stacking and really hurting yourself. Or you can come back the next day and do it first try. It's difficult to give any good advice without knowing your entire background. But 10 girls in a year is quite a lot, seeing as though it seems you've maybe been on two or 3 dates with each one of them. It makes me want to advise you even more just to take a break. Seems to me your striving to find a girl and get into a long term relationship but not having any luck with 'meh' girls because you're trying to rush/force it. So maybe it isn't a case of 'scared of being hurt' and more down to yourself not being in the right frame of mind and/or trying to force something? I know it's a little cheesy but I often to compare it to losing something. Last thing I lost was a game serial code. I've got the point now where when I lose something I just don't even f**king bother to look for it, I get so stressed out looking for something I end up to start blaming people that they took it etc. So now I don't bother and it turns up within a couple of days or so. Same goes with your situation, if you're trying to force it, trying to actively seek a long term relationship, or just a steady girlfriend it'll end up really shitty.

In Minnesota now it looks like we've seen the last of the above freezing temperatures. Warmest it's going to get in the next 10 days is -2. That means the next time it snows it'll lay and stay for a while, which'll be nice because I got some new skis try and not fall off of.
