    Milk

Almond milk, tried some today. Wasn't bad at all actually!
  2. Seems a little premature to be worried about something that might happen. Obviously telling him that it was mentioned in the description is a must do (which I think you already have). If he leaves negative feedback he's an idiot, and generally you can leave a responce to negative feedback so anyway who's looking at it will hear your side too. Unless you're a shop / doing business on ebay I wouldn't worry about negative feedback anyway.

    Food!

JT's 5 Cheese Mac and Cheese with Cheese went down well tonight. Basically just cheese sauce and pasta with 5 cheeses, doesn't matter what the cheeses are so long as there's 5 of them. Otherwise you'll be making JT's 4 Cheese Mac and Cheese and that's only 80% as good.
  4. http://www.dfghjjjjijijijjjijijijhhuhh.com is down
  5. Isn't the whole 'enter the 3nd 5th and 7th' etc etc system good enough to stop phishing? I had no choice I had to use it.
  6. This is getting a little out of hand now. This is the process I have to preform to log into HSBC to see my accounts. 1. Enter in a big long random number that starts with two letters. I can not change this and I know I shouldn't have it stored in a notepad but I do. 2. Answer a personal question that appears to be the same every time, similar to mothers maiden name or fathers middle name etc. 3. I then have to turn on this stupid little keychain thing they sent me. 4. Enter in my 4 digit code to access it. 5. Press a button to get a randomly generated number. 6. Enter that number into the site. This is ridiculous! I understand phishing is a problem, but is this really the best way around it? What does that keychain number pad thing do anyway? Just give you a number by some kind of algorithm that only they know?

    Is Cleverer A Word

I had a gyro tonight, which aparently is pronounced 'euro'.
  8. Does that mean it would actually be cheaper to fly than to drive?!

    Is Cleverer A Word

I still say the plural of octopus is octopodes - pronounced oc-top-o-dease (last 4 letters to rhyme with tease) because it's greek not latin.
  10. Only 60 pounds for a return, London to Edinburgh. That's dirty cheap.

I thought I was too but it turns out It was the cider.

    Milk

Stopped reading here. Even if you're going by tiny side effects I don't know anyone who is lactose intolerant, let alone more than half of the people I know. Personally, I f**king love milk. If i'm eating a biscuit or chocolate, or any kind of muffin or cake I've got to have a glass of milk wih it. Love cereal, love cream based cocktails.

    Milk

Exactly, remember that whole 'blue smarties gives you cancer' crap. Turns out that there's something in the blue coloring that is related to something that when you f**k about with it on a molecular level, is possibly known to cause cancer. And the number of pirates on the planet is causing global warming. As seen here:
  14. Really crap for snow here too. Normally have a blizzard in November and December and that snow'll usually last till after February, but we've barely had enough to cover the ground. So many events have been cancelled round here.

    Karma

Evolution explains everything post-abiogenesis. We know about genetic mutations, we know how animals adapt, we know why they adapt, we know by what means they adapt and mutate. If you want to say we don't know everything about how non life became life then fair enough, but we have a relatively complete understanding of everything after that. So to say we know how a tall tree can influence a giraffes neck to be longer, but we don't know by what means that adaptation occurs shows a ignorance to the theory of evolution (or me misinterpretation what you're saying). But really that has nothing to do with the original point which was that evolution has shaped our entire actions as human beings. Also, when you say "but it is only a theory" what definition are you using for the word theory? Theory that is derived from 'theorem', or an abstract thought?

Ben, if this 'mystical experience' didn't exist. Would you then agree that 100% what we are is derived from evolution?

    Name Changing

You have a girls username. Easy mistake.
  18. Well, it wouldn't be popular for a start. Money generally is the biggest motivation, then praise after that. By your logic the best things ever created are never seen because they only did it for themselves and not for any other means. But I can't really disagree with much else that you said though.
  19. Nah I did mean to dig that topic back up and continue that discussion, didn't feel like thinking at the time of your last reply so I'll just quote that and continue on in that topic when my brain's working one day rather than talk about evolution in an internet thread. My original point was in reply to what you said about how you would like to see any kind of financial/business stuff taken out of anything creative. I think that will never happen because of human nature, it shadows quite a bit on what you were talking about in that topic a few months ago, but I wasn't really coming from a instinctual / evolutionary point of view, but more how people live their lives. 'The best artists are clearly the ones that do what they do because they love it' is a very broad statement. That's basically saying a 7 year old who really f**king loves to make paper airplanes is 'better' creativity than someone who designs interiors for private jets for a living. But then again trying to quantify creativity is virtually impossible anyway. But looking at it from a real world example, do you think it's wrong that local singers sell their CDs at clubs? Surely not, but you think it's wrong that Simon Cowell makes millions from promoting singers, probably so. So at what point do you draw the line? If you were offered payment for your creative work so you could put that money back into it, would you?
  20. Well I won't go into it too much as there's another thread where we were talking about this, I might go back and find that thread and continue the discussion there as really this has nothing to do with the thread. But I wasn't really referring to that anyway, I was thinking more along the lines of if the people who are being creative by whatever means receive money for their creativeness, then they'll have more funds to use to be even more creative. So naturally a singer is going to do things that that person doesn't really want to be doing(working in a facotry etc) just to get the funds to move forward with what they're doing. If I imagine a world where it was made illegal to make money from any of the arts, that would heavily stifle peoples creativity, and can't see it as a positive thing at all.
  21. Nice idea but it's a shame it goes against our entire nature as humans.
