Good luck is all I can say. I applied for PCSO at the start of February and I'll doubt I'll actually start training till next February! Its a long process and drags on forever but its worth giving a go. Any info needed just ask and I'll see if I can help out

In answer to your question... Yes! Its all political correctness now... I recommend checking out this website... UK Fire Service Resources It's an excellent website to gather all the information you need. I know a fair bit as I've looked into it a lot and a family friend is a Fire Fighter in the London Fire Brigade... In answer to you strength worries... You do need to be both mentally and physically fit... You're gonna see a lot of horrendous things which will probably stay with you for the rest of your life so you've got to ask yourself if you're willing to put yourself through that... The physical side of things you do need to be quite strong... Above average as you'll be lugging around Breathing Apparatus and emergency equipment such as generators, the 135m ladders (Depending on if you're on the pump ladder, but even so you'll no doubt be trained in using all the ladders thus making sure you can carry them and mount them back onto the appliance. I happen to know that the new LFB Mercedes Atego Pump Ladders have a button at the back of the appliance which will lower the ladder slightly making it easier for a female Fire Fighter to unload the ladders and equipment mounted on the roof...). If you've any questions maybe you could add me on msn (My addy is in my first reply). Would love to talk more about it and answer any questions you may have. So yeah give the site a check over and see what you think... Pretty sure they have tips and advice on getting fit and stuff. Regards Eric

That was AWESOME!!! Really enjoyed watching that and it really makes you think. Especially the ending when he says about how we've become to familiar with our surroundings that we don't notice things that aren't normal. Brilliant find

I've got a happy medium... I use a Giro Semi MX. It provides adequate protection all around including the fact it covers the back of my head fairly well. I like it because its got the mountain bike helmet style yet has the overall protection of a bmx pisspot... Alas they don't sell them anymore but I remember Waynio posting up a link to a new range of helmets and there was a Semi MX style helmet in there. I'll fetch the link and edit when I've got it. EDIT: As promised Said Link... The Cyphon is the one thats quite like the Semi MX.

How Much Is My Steed Worth? Doesn't Matter Now. I'm Keeping He

Well I've been thinking about it for a while now and I'm coming closer to the decision of selling up. I don't ride my bike and at the moment its currently sat in the shed awaiting the forks to be cut down but I can't be bothered. I want to sell it to either fund a car or motorbike so yeah. I was wondering how much I should put it up for? I'm basically a newb and so its all in such mint condition... Spec is as follows: Frame - Echo Control 04 Long. (Like new as it was Jon Congreaves and he's smooth too fook!) Fork - Zoo! Pitbull 07 (Brand spanking new. Only been put on the bike and never ridden or cut down...) Bars - Zoo! Stem - Simtra. Front Wheel - Viz Rim laced with Sapim Race Spokes onto Viz Disc Hub. Rear Wheel - Echo 07 Rim laced with Sapim Race Spokes onto Hope Pro II Hub. Front Brake - Hope Mono Trial. Rear Brake - Echo CNC brake. Adamant black lever blade with Tarty modified 74 kings tpa kit, Plaz pads. Brakes been used twice at the very most!) Cranks - Echo Forged 6061, Adamant Bash. Chain - KMC Kool. Tensioner: Gusset Bachelor. Pedals - Echo VP-458a (Brand new used once) Headset - Cane Creek Aheadset (Only been put on bike, never ridden) Grips - Try-all Rubber Bottom Bracket - Echo/VP Square Taper. Thats about all I can think of at the moment. Heres a LINK to the pics (post 18 for upto date pics except 07 Zoo! forks and the headset...) So yeah lemme know how much I should be looking at? Thanks guys -
That...Is...Gorgeous!!! That paintjob is beautiful. I'm gonna have to spray mine up I think. Top job!

After a recent all night drinking session, me and my friends went to the shop. I randomly bought a bottle of Oasis Summerfruit and 99p bag of cadburys milk chocolate buttons. Worked a treat.

Well. Sometimes its funny but when it puts ourselves or other people at danger then thats when we have a go at him.
-
My friend does exactly that! He is such a bad driver its an embaressment! For some reason when we pull onto the motorway he pulls straight over into the middle lane... God only knows why! I end up having a go at him all the time! How we haven't died at his incompetent driving capabilities is beyond me! Example.... We was driving down a country lane once. A nice sunny day and we came round the corner and off in the distance about 200 yards ahead was a one lane bridge with on coming cars going across it... We was travelling at about 60 and as we neared the bridge there was a quite a queue of cars coming across the bridge so we'd have to slow down and if need be stop to allow the cars to come through. Ohhhhhh noooooo, not with my friend! He carries on driving at 60 and we storm across this bridge at the same time as a Range Rover! Me and my friend reece screamed for him to stop but yeah. I have no idea how but we got across that bridge unscathed! He didn't even realise what he'd done!!! (Wanker!!!) We had a right go at him after that as well! He such a poor driver though. Pulls out on other people and everything! Complete fanny!

Yeah lets take them *bastards at tarty for everything they're worth!!!! *They're not really bastards... Quite the opposite infact
-
I'm guessing they have someone with a camera and another to hold the bike, the person holding the bike let go, runs out of shot, guy takes the picture and then the other guy catches the bike? If you look in the pic you can see the guys shadow next to the bike looking as though he's ready to catch it...

I shall hopefully be there. I don't get in from work till 4 sooo. All depending on if I cut my forks down in time and that. Headset spacers should arrive tomorrow so all being well If not then I'll just whack my old pitbull forks on for the time being. Will text you chair

Well thats surely classed as assault. Have you lodged a complaint with the police? I'm sure there's CCTV footage of the "chavs" from the multi-story car park?

Ahh! I remember watching this years ago! It was in a London video someone did back at the end of 2004 I think it was. I know it was from November 2004. I really really wanna see the video again. Anyone got any idea as to where I can find it. I think it was made by a website called Urban riders or something... I vaguely remember it having Urban in. haha

Never usually interested in road racing but just flicked it on and this guy hit the barrier and flew down this hill!!! Perfect timing by me I think lol

That's exactly what Haz means
-
ha! You gonna take that Fatpants?!

Think he meant the more "Oi Blad! S'gwanning rudeboi" type of accent... And you're not cockney... Only us East Landaners can talk like that me 'ole china plate As for the compromise. They'll never stop using weapons. Simple as. Purely because they'd much rather wipe out another gang by killing them than just having a war of words... It's never gonna change... Back on topic though. I've signed... but purely because I don't want my money being spent on something like that. Its not going to benefit me or many other people... just the muslim community. Fair enough if its funded my the muslim mosques and clerics and things like that.... But if its taxpayers money then I don't want it. (Hope the Met Police don't see this post as it could bugger up my chances of becoming a PCSO!!! haha)

Dr Who!!! I didn't like it at first when Ecclestone was playing the Dr but as its Tennant now I'm hooked 8/10 Life on Mars: Quite possibly my most favourite thing ever now! Sheer brilliance! Not one bad episode at all! Storyline is excellent as well! Love it and John Simms is a brillaint actor as he was in Dr Who when he played the Master... Gene Hunt is an excellent character too! 10/10 Band of Brothers (Some years ago now...) Excellent mini-series. In my opinion nothing will top it. Love it so much... 10/10
