  1. Oh my god. An aluminium frame snapped.
  2. I think wristbands are just a fad full stop. Just another example of people copying somebody elses idea. How many people wearing yellow Livestrong bands even know who Lance Armstrong is?
  3. I would like to be sponsored by GT or Giant. Simply because you'd get a wage, expenses, loads of other sponsors with it, and a fat 4x4. Yeah, you'd probably have to ride a shitty frame (although I'd quite happily have riden Hawzee's latest ride before he left Giant) but I'd put up with it.
  4. Don't think it's defo anything at the moment...
  5. My dad said: "Now you've passed your test, you can learn to drive", and he's right. I've met so many young people, aged 17-20 who think they're 'good drivers' because they can drive at 80mph, but then you watch them try and park and they make a complete hash of it. Those intense courses are rubbish. It's like letting kids out on scooters with a CBT, just asking for trouble. In most cases short-cuts are crap. Can't you get Mike to drive you about?
  6. Nah, Gaz is right. If they're going to behave like thugs, treat them that way. A swift backhand would let them know they've done wrong... Exactamundo Comrade Luke
  7. Don't know, but it's half an hour's drive from my parents if I floor it. But I'm not living with them anymore. Go and check it out, then report back!
  8. Toxsin grips are good. They're not foam but they're quite soft and really grippy. They're actually a bit brighter than the picture shows.
  9. wll i no nuff people what didnt what did riyde der bikx with kingg hubz and wer didnts have prnblemss.
  10. Wanking doesn't make you go blind, that was just religious groups trying to stop people from whacking off. Give up when something you're doing brings no enjoyment OR when it has stopped adding anything positive to your life/future.
  11. A longer frame makes it easier to do most things, like front tap, etc, and I found that switching to a longer bike helped my bunnyhops. Depends how and what you ride, but on the whole longer bikes are better. I wouldn't go as long as say 1100 as I think I'd find it harder to ride... 1055 suits me fine. Lower bikes are a lot better as you get more clearance. If you look at the recent Bristol pictures thread, see how when people sidehop super high they crouch right over the side of the bike. Also, smaller frames tend to be lighter and stiffer.
  12. I did, I did! The ginger kid on the Curtis! I said before! And then suddenly Phil produces this SelectBikes video and there's this guy called James Porter doing all this mad stuff... it was like Staples, I remember him just being this kid on a Saracen and then a couple of years go by and he's beasting it out left right and centre. When (if?) I sort my car this month I'll have to come down and ride Bristol to see what all the fuss is about. Oh yeah, the 5.5ft tap - that's the second time in this thread that I've been savagely tricked...
  13. Get a short pitbull or one of these, both around 250-300 quid. If you've been riding a Heavy Tools then you probably won't want something super long...
  14. Yeah, Beast Man, off He-Man... The blue curtis? If so, then yeah, I remember seeing you trying some good stuff and thinking he's pretty good. Didn't know that was you though. You've certainly come along way, that's for sure... Well done on the tap as well, that's 5.5ft!!

    Koxx 1040

As you can see, it looks just like the 1065...
  16. I had this problem and re-bled the disk 3 times, but still no difference. Then I faced the disk mount, which means using a special tool to ensure the caliper is perfectly aligned with the disk. After this the disk was unbelievable - just absolutely perfect. With an open system, if the disk is at an angle to the caliper the pads adjust further from the disk and hence there is more lever movement. You also could try using washers to make sure the caliper is aligned properly.
  17. Grant (like you Wayne) is 100% muscle anyway...
  18. Yeah, I'm not about to rush out and get it. XP does everything I need right now, and I only moved up from Win 2K about 6 months ago. I'd rather wait and let everybody find all the obvious security loop holes and wait for the first 3 service packs to be released before I think about getting it.
  19. Fancy your chances with the new girl eh? :P
  20. Word. Go and beef it out and you'll soon be doing 35".
  21. Nah, the light reflects off and pushes you higher. Didn't you know?
