The other option, which I did in a previous break up, is that she was just being strong following an emotional time... if she's going to come around and want you back then she will, if not then she wont... i know that sounds silly and obvious, but i think i just mean that there's not a lot you can do. realising that makes it easier... chin up boy! on the subject of my break, em was texting me last night about the fact that this time last year we were flying out to South Africa to spend valentines day over there, and how were we going to cope on this one? what i find is that it's incredible we all share this much to a load of people who, perhaps, we don't really know at all. I know there's an element of everyone knowing everyone on here, but still... i feel for you all, there's some pretty shit times being described here..

mine was probably getting stupidly pissed at my first sales job induction do... being put in a taxi at 9.30 and shouting and screaming at my mum and her partner when i got home. Got asked to move out the next day. that was the most dissapointing point in my life when I knew i'd failed really hard at being a good member of the family. 2nd to that has got to be the time, not long before that, where i told my mum is was in an incredible amount of debt due to cocaine abuse... don't do drugs kids! ultimately, getting kicked out made me go buy my own flat though, which is a good outcome. cloud, silver lining and all that jazz.

in my case it had a lot to do with the natural paranoia that distance gives you. also the thoughts that only seeing each other a couple of times a month puts strain even a strong bond. everyones different and some people can deal with not having the companionship that comes with living with or close to your partner... I found it harder. I think that was mainly because she was meant to move in on 23rd June last year and once she decided against that there was no real saving it, although I obviously tried for 6 months or so.. I would give almost anything to go back to may/june time and be a good enough boyfriend for her to actually join me full time in my flat because everytime I look around I can only see what we did. We decorated, we furnished it, we cleaned it, we messed it up, we spent almost all of our nights together in there. Might have to sell it...

same, she lives 5 miles away but goes to uni a couple of hundred... thats been the tough thing. i'm gonna wait it out a few months to see how it goes, and i think you'd be relying on rose tinted specs too much if you got back with her now... IMO

sorry to hear that man, sounds like you dont have much luck at the moment. I think i put it down wrongly at first, i don't feel that the 18 months have been wasted at all. what i meant is that i wish i could have found a way to make it work rather than letting it stagnate to the point where we wont have another 18 months to come and turning that into years etc. feeling pretty f**king shit at the moment

i've basically just had the same thing happen. split up with emily on friday and we are getting on... i don't know whether thats a good thing or a bad thing. part of me wants her to hate me and slap me and stuff to make it easier to get over... hmn this is strange.. 18 months possibly just wasted.
