Yeah, they have to block loadsa stuff by law. Turning off your university firewall (note: UNIVERSITY firewall, not your own computer one!) will often do the trick. But different uni's will have different policies regarding that stuff - mostly though you'll get bent over and raped for doing that. Just find your local computer nerd group where you're staying or in your course and they'll sort you out, no end.

If you wanna ride street and not travel all across the country like some are suggesting, visit: London, Bristol, Reading and Oxford. London might (/should) keep you entertained for mutliple rides 'cos its massive and has everything. The others are cool for a good few rides, too. If you wanna try out some natural, plan your trip in the northern regions of England instead. I dont know much about natural spots but just by reading this thread it's obvious you wanna hook up with some of the yorkshire based riders. Shouldn't you be in the 'war', anyway? haha

There was a bit of lock-down on the Bikeguide forum about posting commercial videos... being a smaller, trials forum there's the 'advantage' of production companies not noticing the links here, so the chance of getting threats and reports is much lower than with a major bmx forum. But, risky or not... it still ain't right to post those videos up, to be reet fair.

Sorry to bring this back but how are people applying for their insurance? Are you saying it's your car and you're the only driver, etc? Or do you have like your mum or dad as main owner/driver and all that, but then yourself as an additional driver? I get insane quotes when I do the former. When I have a parent as the main driver, I get cheap quotes but I'm not sure if it'll still be valid 'cos they aren't really the main drivers at all - it's all me. Insurance is such a nightmare.

Yeah that's fair enough, the actual point I was trying to make was the latter half of the sentence you split - when a complete neutral is watching a show predominantly showing guys jumping off cliff edges, a guy leaping from a pebble to a tree stump probably won't make them rub their penis as much. But that's just my opinion from experience. Obviously seeing nothing but trials will make people gasp, of course, because that's all they can see and it is indeed a spectacle. But again, IMO on a show like Drop In with multi-disciplines... trials probably doesn't have the same effect. And back to Shawn, again - he's the only trials rider and probably doesn't wanna go on a sweet roadtrip only to have to session on his own somewhere while everyone else is partying up (/down... cliffs...) and that's probably why the producers chose a more general rider as opposed to, say, a UCI strictly trials guy. Which is why he isn't as awe-inspiring a rider as most of you are complaining about, because he's more of a jack-of-all-trades, let's call it. edit: and Spacemunkee, I can't believe you're actually getting worked up in this thread. End of the day, you're getting trials on tv for free (well... after paying for Sky or what have you), which is - as we all know - hard to come by. Until you get a TV contract to make a series and ride on it, just accept what's been handed to you on a plate. Simple as, really.

A bunch of stupid shits on a forum who complain about other riders, apparantly. Sorry if they wanna portray a bunch of guys ('dirtbags') having a laugh with each other, as opposed to whacking a load of french world champs in there instead. Trials is too boring for the general public and isn't 'extreme' enough to be put on the telly when people are hucking off 40ft cliffs in the same show, that's why they have an all-rounder.

It was built for Kris. I'm pretty sure he doesn't do those mahoosive Zoo!'esque drop gaps (not saying he can't...). Most of the buyers of 24" Leeson's aren't really people who go out and do burly drop gaps all day. I'm sure it'll be fine. Plus it looks amazing, so even if does break and you don't have it fixed - you can mount it on the fire place.
