  1. haha, I knew he was good, but I wasn't expecting him to be quite that good! Congrats on the world champs title! Well deserved. One question though, it doesn't look like his rear rim is ground, any reason for this? I only ask because I doubt he'll have the strongest grip on the levers yet and having the extra power of a ground rim would seem like a good idea especially for wet comps, but he seems to be managing more than well enough as it is
  2. a woman's dropped frame bike
  3. I understand which is why I apologised and didn't attack you back, I will think more now. I am not sure how much I will be coming to London to ride as I can't ride yet because of my foot, so I had given no thought as to where I would be staying but now you mention it like that it does sound pretty shitty, I hope it all calms down and everyone down there is ok.
  4. I have seen the peg through the bb thing before, but at what point does a bike stop being a bike? TRA seems to dominate chainless trials, thats gotta be a LOT harder than brakeless trials for sure!
  5. cool, maybe posting a comment like that and then going to bed wasn't a great idea. The riots are perhaps more serious than I had first seen, I thought it was "just another riot" London seems to have it's fair share what with the recent student protests and ones before that. they never seemed to come to much which is why I said I didn't really care. I apologise to you Matt and anyone else that found my post rude and insensitive, just maybe calm it down with the personal attacks yeh?
  6. looks like I should start watching the news. Edited to appease a few people (well actually I was being a bit of a dick).
  7. don't think I'll be fully healthy again, but I am kinda tempted to go anyway, not ridden anywhere new for ages and wouldn't mind bunnyhopping about at Hook Woods. I would enter the brakeless category if there was one, otherwise I would probably go in red route with brakes.
  8. it really wasn't anything special
  9. white spirit is oil based and leaves a oily film afterwards, so don't use that. washing up liquid is a form of de-greaser so use that. Otherwise buy a new grinder for £10-£15
  10. companies using catalogue parts? REALLY??
  11. I wouldn't mind seeing it too. Yes, my front brake was very contaminated, got like that about 10 mins before filming grrrr
  12. deary deary me, words can't describe my disappointment at that comment.
  13. fair enough if it's to a budget. Stem wise, I am not sure what the reach is on the frame, but I don't think it's huge, that stem will be great if you like to bunnyhop and spin, but you may find it a bit cramped for big gaps and stuff.
  14. is that a stock stem he's running? Looks very low and uncomfortable.
  15. congrats on getting possibly the heaviest forks ever made Does look like a fun build with that stem on it though, is that what they recommended or is it something you were after?
  16. That's all a load of crap, sorry but it is the chain has to do EXACTLY the same work weather the freewheel is on the front or back, the freewheel still has to engage too. the MAIN reasons are that back in the day, you couldn't get cogs any smaller than 20-22t on the front. This meant that ground clearance wasn't so good. People then started to thread cranks and put an 18t freewheel on the front which dramatically reduced the ground clearance. It also moves the weight to the center which means it's easier to pick the rear wheel up and spin the back end around. Back in the days of un-reliable freewheels and hubs, it was easier to carry a spare crank with freewheel on at comps rather than a whole back wheel.
  17. can't believe they let him land on a crash mat and still allowed it after falling off
  18. when you say you are getting paid, do you mean Guinness pays you or you are getting paid for putting on shows at the event?

  20. I voted "no" I can't say I notice my mood change, I am pretty steady and it takes a lot to get me angry.
  21. this, make sure your topcap isn't touching the steerer.
  22. oh yeah.....get a vee brake
  23. quiet stealth bikes for the win! although with Maguras it's unlikely you'll get a quiet brake that works well or a good brake that's quiet unfortunately
